The Best
I am using it more than 2 years, for battery charging, li-ion and lead acid, works without any problem, I am leaving it on for days, no problem, I don’t know how accurate it is but, really like it. also I changed reverse polarity diode twice, connected 100ah lead acid reversed and just diode died, changed it 4 month ago and work great again. Highly recommended. also it has 220v-110v switch, I live in Europe so I was searching for 220v power supply, I think best in price and also in this power supply category. 🙂

Accurate, precision adjustments, and it holds up and goes slightly above its specifications.
Both really to dislike, it’s better than I had expected. I have pretty low expectations for some of the stuff out there. Especially being a electrical engineer, and used to extremely high end equipment. Nothing to dislike. Get it. You will be pleasantly surprised as well.

Does the job
I needed a bench power supply badly, and looked for a long time before buying this one. As a matter of fact, I bought an other one and returned it due to low quality, and its inability to perform as described. This one does a much better job, however, it does fail to deliver full 30V at 10A. I get 30V at a little over 8A.I liked the idea of the coarse and fine control knobs to let me dial in exactly the power and current I need. The fine dial however is very touchy and is almost as sensitive as the coarse dial. I like the small form factor as it is compact and needs little space on my workbench. The display is large and very easy to read.This power supply is complete and comes with everything you need to get started right out of the box. The fans work under heavy load, and are not too loud. It has worked reliably so far and it does its job well. I am happy with it and recommend it. I give it 4 stars.

Does the job, but just a little bit hard to control
Seems to work fine, fan kicks on and off as needed and the unit has stayed cool during use so far. My only complaint and it’s minor is that the adjustments could really use a fine and a coarse control… When you’re dialing in say the current you can go from nothing nothing nothing CURRENT real quick then it’s back off and sneak up on it again. Not the end of the world, but it would be nice to dial it back a bit in terms of sensitivity.Still for the price for a 300W power supply? It’s more of a critique than a complaint. I’m definitely satisfied with it!

Great DC power supply
I bought this for a copper plating project. I was impressed with the quality of the item, especially the wire leads that fit into it. Operation was so simple that even a retired beancounter such as myself could operate it.

I returned it, due to ringing/ripple on the output, at some voltage & current combinations.
I really wanted to like this power supply! The size and weight were great, and after checking it out with a multimeter to compare the readings, and a 10 ohm resistor for a load, it looked like it was going to be just what I wanted.Before purchasing and while I was initially comparing the various brand name supplies that all look similar in build to this unit, I ran across a review for another brand that indicated one buyer of that brand experienced a high ripple voltage with that unit. Hoping to avoid that problem, I went with this LONGWEI supply. Because of that review of the other similar looking unit, I decided to hook the LONGWEI supply to an oscilloscope. I was very disappointed when I cranked up the voltage, and observed on the scope that when the output got up to about 5.6V and .52A, that this supply also developed a very large noise at the output. See the 2 photos attached, There is almost 3Vp-p of electrical noise “riding” on the 5.6VDC output.It wasn’t just a one time glitch, as this was a regularly occurring waveform that the scope was repeatedly triggering on. This was into a purely resistive load, so there was nothing like a motor or solenoid hooked to the supply, that should cause this. Some experimentation indicated the issue mostly appeared between .51A and about .8A. but occasionally I even saw brief flashes of the same electrical noise on the scope screen with absolutely no load on the output at all.My guess is that all of these similar looking units have the same basic circuitry inside, and that explains why a similar issue was observed with 2 different brands. I also wonder how many of the buyers giving 5 stars have looked at their power supply with an oscilloscope, and at various load levels?This electrical noise might be acceptable on a battery charger, but you don’t want to see this kind of noise on the output used for powering electronic devices! FYI, I tried hooking capacitors of various values, ranging from .01uf to 10uf across the output, but I observed no improvement in the waveform.Other than the electrical disturbances on the output, the supply I had seemed like it worked as described, and the size and weight were ideal. I never loaded it over 3A, so I can’t verify the 10A rating. Too bad the output wasn’t stable! I didn’t take a chance with a replacement, after knowing that 2 similar looking supplies have had the same issue.

This is an excellent product, and is perfect for hobbyists
This is a very fine product for the money. I did a little test to verify output with my Fluke multimeter, and it was accurate as far as I could tell. The build quality seems solid, and I was surprised that they offered it with alligator clips in addition to the probes, so that was a nice selling point. I am a hobbyist, so I don’t know if this would stand up to the rigor of a national laboratory, but if you’re running a lab, you probably aren’t shopping on Amazon for lab gear, are you? 🙂

I use this for metal etching and it works great. Since there were no instructions, youtube wins again. Setting volts is kinda obvious but how about amps? Hold the leads, positive and negative together then set your amps. Guess that was too hard to include.
