    Great machine.
It replaced a 12-year-old Dell T3600, the size of a suitcase and weighing over 20 pounds. It cost $3,000 at the time. Fortunately, my college paid for it! The new is what newer technology is supposed to be: a much smaller footprint, much lighter, much faster, SSD, $800. The only thing I’ve never liked is the keyboard. I prefer my own, an illuminated Logitech soft touch.

    Great value
This is the perfect computer for the money if you’re working from home. You will need to update the software for you’re needs. Like Word, excel, and PowerPoint and whatever you’re working on. It’s the easiest computer I’ve ever set up and it only takes about 20 minutes. It seems to be running well and it’s nice and quiet. So far so good for now. Time will tell. I’ve had know issues so far.

    Decent CPU
This version delivers with 1 stick of 16GB 1RXB PC4-3200AA-UA2-13. There is a 2nd slot and I picked up another 16GB here on Amazon “Desktop Memory CT16G4DFRA32A”. As another reviewer pointed out this permits the dual channel memory which performs better. I went through the setup in about 15 minutes and just followed the prompts. No issues. This has an open PCIe 16X video card slot and has an 8 pin power connector for the card. Mine came with the 300W power supply. So choose a card with power usage as low as possible. Dell site says you can put a 1660 super in here which is supposed to pull maximum 125W. Whatever you choose I would not go higher than the 125W since the power supply is small. If you install such a graphics card your 1080p gaming will run any game that I know of although maybe not on ultra settings. Decently high though om 1080p. I’m going to install a graphics card as I play some games from time to time. Storage is decent with the additional 1tb drive it comes with. I’m planning to clone the SSD and swap to a terrabyte SSD. An option if you know how to do this but would be fine as-is. I didn’t rate this good for gaming because out of the box this is not a gaming PC. But can be hugely better with the addition of a 1660 super. Value for the money. Not bad but CPU is 12th Gen. So look an see what is available and compare prices. This CPU is budget but still very capable at 6 core and decently fast. It will run probably all games if you add the video card mentioned. I do believe this board is PCIe 3.0 not 4.0 so keep that in mind if you wanted the latest 4.0 video card. There are other versions of the 3910 so look around but… power supply could be 180w, 240w or 300w and most sellers and Dell don’t mention what your going to get. If you get a 180w forget about adding a graphics card.

So far, so good … 👍
I’ve been using this computer daily for more then two months now and I feel okay about granting it a Five Star rating because: 1) it’s performed flawlessly with NO hiccups (the 12th gen i5 cpu SCREAMS, and it stays cool to boot), 2) I can play quite a few of my favorite games (e.g. Skyim SE lightly modded, on low settings) pretty much flawlessly, and 3) overall I find it to be intelligently designed and (for a ‘pre built’ machine) quite well put together. This was an emergency purchase due to my 5 y/o gaming rig dying very suddenly, so I really didn’t spend a lot time comparison shopping: being flat broke at the time, I grabbed my credit card and purchased the first reasonably priced desktop PC that met all of my own personal ‘minimum spec’ requirements, and hit the checkout button. Even though I’ve had to effectively retire 80% of my Steam Library, I’m glad this is the system I purchased. 😁

So much faster than my 10 yr old POS
It took me awhile to embrace Windows 11. Now I really like it. This bad boy is quiet and boots up fast, my YT video editing has reached a new level in speed. It was taking 45 minutes to render my projects on my old PC and now it’s 10 minutes. I also got a 30″ Wide Screen monitor and a lighted keyboard and everything just works great. I’ve been using it for 6 months now and I’m very happy with this unit. I want another one for my patio office but it’s a bit pricey and the old PC is ok for that.
