Magnets are strong! Suction cup mount very strong and sturdy. I bought 2! One for my car. The second I use at my desk workstation. Magnetic is the way to go now-a-days. Used to purchase the ones that grasp the sides of the phone, but they would wobble while driving. Love that this is metal.

Perfect dash mount
I ordered this to replace my vent clip style mount. It has many position options and can be mounted on a window or dash. It was super easy to install. The magnet is strong! I tested it out by going down a bumpy road and it held my phone perfectly. The only downside is, itâs not very stable, while it holds the phone well, it bounces a lot.

I like the simplicity of the phone holder. The magnet seems very strong. I was a little disappointed in that. The pictures of the product showed a shiny metallic finish, whereas this is completely black. I wouldâve given it five stars had it had a shiny metallic finish and not all black.

I didn’t actually mount this phone holder in a car. I use this to hold my phone on my wheelchair. Now, I can’t speak on whether or not it will actually pick up a specific amount of weight. I think there’s a picture of the mount being suction cup to a 70 pound weight. I didn’t do that. This but I tried several other brands and several other types and this product by far outperformed all of them. I have literally forgot that I had this product sticking out further than my armrest on my chair and ran it into a doorframe, caught the edge of the wall, and I had my dresser wants (so far). I know that the mount did not come on suction cup where I have it and my phone stayed on the magnet as well. I did adhere a different style piece of metal to the back of my phone case but that was mostly because I had trouble finding the metal ring not because the magnet wouldn’t hold the phone. If I get a chance I will take a picture but as it is holding my phone it does make it hard for me to take a picture of it holding my phone.

The magnet itself is strong. It would take a great deal of effort to get it to free itself if the magnet stuck to the phone. The magnet that adheres to the phone doesn’t stay. The matte finish of the phone’s back will not allow sufficient adherence to the magnet. Putting the phone in the case, and then magnetizing it to the base doesn’t work either. Otherwise, it’s a great base. I wish the extension rotated somewhat, but otherwise a great base.
