    Great laptop. I bought 3 Lenovo Flex14.
A great, light laptop. I bought 2 Lenovo flex 14 before for my daughters. Now, I buy another flex 14 Ryzen for my wife. A great laptop to recommend to all.

great cpu and quality for the price
Pretty thin laptop, 4c/8t cpu. Memory is upgradable, i changed the 4gig module for a 16gig module. 4gig are soldered onto the board. I used the “MediaGear USB C Docking Station w/ 45W Laptop Power Delivery” for a USB-C dock, it works great, the only issue I’ve had which I haven’t yet troubleshot is I have HDMI into the dock (or when it was directly plugged into the laptop) and occasionally the video will go dark and then come back like the USB re-enumerates or something of that nature. This could be a driver issue or something else so I won’t put it on the laptop. It has an M.2 drive but I haven’t removed everything around it to verify if its M.2 with sata or M.2 with nvme. There are docks on the model that were easy to find showing how to clone the drive and upgrade the drive to a larger capacity one, I also used videos from the same provider (lenovo I think) to remove the “pressure” plate think that I believe is for structure and covers the single RAM DIMM. I kept my last laptop for about 6 years and with the CPU level and being able to upgrade I believe I”ll keep this one for that long. At the time of writing this review I’ve had the laptop and dock about a month and already upgraded the memory and everything is good, the only issue to mention is the external monitor flickering black for a moment sometimes but then coming back. I do believe this will be fixed in the future.

    Great for College Students
I purchased this for my college student son. It arrived very quickly and works perfectly for what he needs it for. I was able to add more to the warranty via the Lenovo website. This model is very similar to the yoga model. Flexable and great speed.

    Good…except for one major flaw
The wifi capabilities of this laptop are HORRIBLE. It would stay connected to the wifi for about half an hour and then suddenly lose signal and it won’t get it back until you restart the laptop. This has happened many times, I had to get a wifi adapter in order to fix this issue.Other than that, the laptop seems to work fine, the tablet mode is nice. Switching between the different modes is not a problem.I see I’m not the only one who has had issues with the wifi on this laptop, it’s a great shame because otherwise this laptop would be perfect! Battery life seems a bit short, after an hour it dropped 33%. There was one time the laptop suddenly turned off with no warning due to battery losing charge.

    Not a Great Machine!!!! (edited)
edit: 7/3/20205 months in and it just died. Was sitting on my desk, I shut it off one weekend, came home 3 days later and nothing. It had power but no boot. Ended up sending it in to Lenovo for repair and they are claiming out of warranty due to spill damage which is totally wrong. I contacted Amazon and they are letting me return the item directly to amazon minus a restock fee. I guarantee there was no spill damage and I use to do tech support for HP, that was a common line agents tried as it was their job to deny as many repairs as possible. So I can no longer recommend this PC or Lenovo in general. I had a bad experience with their Rift S with oculus as well. Just not built to last. and support is obviously borderline scam. Stay away from Lenovo. far away. It also took them 3 months to ship me a stupid box only to try pulling this scam on me. And guess how much they wanted to repair it. 486 bucks!!! I only paid 430… lol What a joke! but Amazon support as always is amazing!old post:I have had flip laptops like this since 2002 in college. They test piloted this feature at my campus. I have been addicted to this type of laptop since and haven’t had one for a while…. I swapped the 4 gigs of replaceable ram out for a 16gb sodimm giving this laptop 20gb of ram. I wouldn’t recomend doing yourself unless you know what you are doing. Removing the RAM cover was moderately difficult without proper tools. I used the plastic piece from the ram where it hangs on a hook to pop the clips open. But this is a laptop, a tablet, a tent, it’s just great so far… It’s small and packs a lot of power. Anyone complaining about battery life doesn’t understand this thing is powerful…. It’s comparable with my 2 desktops which are a ryzen 2700x and 2600x both water cooled. so… That is quite a statement to make comparing the two with one another. The only thing I don’t like is the USB ports are very very tight, I am afraid I will break them unplugging things they are so tight… But I am hoping they break in a bit, otherwise I may look for a short extension cord to keep plugged in permanently. or maybe a hub that has a looser plug that fits this thing better. I know that will break eventually with such tight connection… I have seen it before so just be careful… EVen without upgrading the memory this thing is great. It was on sale for 595 bucks new or 500 used. I got it used (knowing it couldn’t really be used, which it wasn’t, just damaged box) and I had a 60 dollar credit from getting the amazon card. So the whole thing with memory cost about 500 even. I order the Corsair 16gb SODIMM from Amazon btw, I wasn’t sure which sodimm to get, but I trust Corsair and I chose wisely I think. works great. The fingerprint login button is also amazing. which I find it funny I am saying that since that is not something I would really consider getting given the choice…. The Vega 10 also is amazing. this plays World of Warcraft at low settings perfectly fine, 30-45 fps, I didn’t try a raid yet but dungeons are no problem. but raids will likely be a bit laggy, but I’m just speaking from past experience with other machines. Diablo 3 worked great, and I hook my Oculus Go up to it via VR Desktop. It works amazingly on that end and I would recommend this machine just for doing wireless VR with the Go/Quest.. Assuming it keeps working for me into the future, I made a good buy on this one. Been eyeing up a new laptop for several months now. I would get this one if I were you. I have 2 computer science degree and run an AI startup company. So I think my advice carries some slight weight 🙂 lolUpgraded RAM or not, good machine. Only thing I haven’t been able to adjust yet is the dedicated video memory being used. The normal bios tricks aren’t working and since I have 20 gb ram, i want 4 dedicated to video and not 2.gigs as default. so If anyone knows the proper method for this machine, let me know! I’ll prolly figure it myself here though in the next coming days…Again, buy this laptop. I swore I would never buy another lenovo product after buying the Oculus Rift S (since it was produced by lenovo and oculus in partnership) But I feel I was wrong to make such a harsh judgement after using this machine and also after dismantling it and looking it over…. It won’t survive any extreme use, so treat it well. but how could it with such a small form factor..The only issue I have noticed is with the wifi as I have read from other users as well. I have had the wifi board crash one time already. solution was to disable wifi and re-enable. trying to reconnect would fail until you do this…. So, that is somewhat annoying if it happens with frequency…. I will update on this issue as time continue….also on the wifi note, it can connect to wifi and share the wifi to other machines via hotspot with no difficulty, I tethered my oculus Go to it this way. nice… some lan cards can’t do this well…edit: had several more wifi drops. i did a BIOS update with the lenovo app, and changed the power settings in power options for wifi to best performance, it was set to a strange sleep type low power setting. I’m not sure if it was the power options or the bios update but all is working well so far now, knock on wood…

    I love it
I like this laptop a lot. It is lightweight, the battery lasted 8 hours in airplane mode with screen dimmed with movies as a test, it plays video games – World of Warships, Walking Dead. The m.2 SSD is only 256 GB, that the only one thing I wish was improved. No regrets – except for glaring screen, had to get a matte screen protector.

Great machine. Upgrading makes it even better.
This is a great laptop. I had an X1 Carbon 6th Gen prior to this and I can honestly say I prefer this machine much more. The keyboard feels much more comfortable to type on having minimal key travel while still feeling tactile. I upgraded the NVME SSD to a 1tb Crucuial drive and replaced the 4GB RAM stick with a 16GB stick for even faster performance. This is probably the best sub $1000 laptop you can purchase.Edit:I ended up lowering my rating. The glossy screen has been bothering me quite a bit as it does not get bright enough for most outside use. There is also quite a bit of buzzing coming from the mesh rubbing on the fan.

Running my business like a pro!
Best laptop I have purchased and exactly what I needed it for! I run a business and I do graphic design and so much on mu laptop! This two in one is perfect for drawing my designs, selling them, and marketing. I can run endless programs at once with very little bog down. More of a detailed review coming once I spend more time with owning it. I’ve had it for about a month now and cannot be happier to run my sticker/planner business on etsy using this product!
