Perfect!
I bought this set to upgrade my amd 5800x and a x570 motherboard. I should say upfront I am probably the exception shopper as I do not play computer games. I realize that most people making this upgrade are gamers. I cannot speak for how that would work out but I do use my computer for demanding apps that require heavy computations. This 7700x and motherboard far exceeded my expectations. It is a substantial upgrade for heavy computations from my 5800x. I am also pleased to say that it was an easy install and worked from the first boot. This newer generation is fantastic for a very modest cost.

Ryzen 7 combo
Very happy with the combo. Perform a great boot time from push if the button to pin screen is just 15 seconds. I like the silver as most of my build is black, so when I run a certain color those parts reflect the color the fans are and it looks nice. Build quality is great no issues with install, attaching female connectors to it. I have more than enough ports to accommodate everything I have incorporated in my build, and more to spare. The amount of IO ports is great too with supporting super fast speeds with the Type-c port. Not a single complaint.

Great deal ban packaging
I will say great bundle but It should of been packaged better definitely needed to be put in a bigger box along with some bubble wrap the only thing that wasnât working was channel 1 ram slot but other then that system is up and running great

Cheaper than a new computer
I was about to spend 3500 on a new PC. My ryzen 5 and 128gb memory was no longer enough. I realized I only really wanted more processor and memory. So because my current MB couldn’t support more memory i figured Iâd just change the MB and get a better CPU with it. I removed the old MB, moved the SSD drives and GPU to new MB, added the CPU, added new memory, 256GB, put new MB back in tower, VOILA! Running like a champ. I did have to rebuy windows. And I did buy more memory. So I ended up spending 1800 instead of the 3000-3500. I am a virtualization engineer and I use my pc to build virtual lab environments. So my use might be atypical. But this MB and CPU got it done for me. FYI, no cooler comes with this cpu.

2nd DOA
This is a real disappointment…. The first motherboard/CPU combo I received was DOA, there appeared to be bent connectors on the CPU socket itself, obviously it didn’t boot. Sent it back, took nearly 2 weeks to get the replacement. The replacement arrived and I assembled it. It has a weird boot problem. I seems to take 2~4 minutes to boot up. When it does finally boot, it runs OK. I’ve run for about 36 hours without problems, until I reboot. I’ve built dozens of systems, so I did the normal things like using a different M2 drive for boot, using half memory sticks, etc. The scary thing to me is that when I read through the other reviews, I see the exact same symptoms that others have had. The problem now is do I return it again, wait another 2 weeks and hopefully get a working system? My advice to anyone reading this review is to scan the other reviews before making your purchase.

I’ve always bought MSI and will continue to do so. From their build quality to their support it’s always been top tier. You then bring in a bundle and pair it with an AMD processor, you’ve got me sold every time. This combo is great for anything I plan on doing with it. If you’re looking for a great motherboard with great support and a top of the line CPU, you can’t beat this package.
