Lookout, SteelSeries
This is going to be a bit of an apples to oranges comparison. I’ve recently switched from Xbox to PC and got new gear. I bought a SteelSeries Arctis 9, and my gf a set at the same time, for the Xbox a few years ago. After having connectivity/issues with them the entire time, I decided to get a wired set for my PC. The Epos headset is miles ahead. More solid feeling construction quality, more comfortable during longer sessions, friends hear me loud and clear instead of asking “what’d you say?”, and sound quality is satisfying for my inner audiophile. This is one of few modern headsets I’ve worn that can go “too loud” but somehow gives very little, if any distortion even with some bass boost in the sound card. The tilt-to-mute function on the Epos vs button with red indicator on the mic on the SteelSeries has left me talking while muted a few times.. The Epos volume knob has the most interesting resistance feel to it, which feels way more quality than the static inducing roller wheels on the SteelSeries. The best way I can describe the feel is like cutting cheese, the harder you try the harder it is. Accidental volume adjustments are not likely here. Cord length is generous but the jack on the headset side fits a bit too snug, I had to force it in while twisting in order for sound quality to become normal. I could see some people sending these back thinking they got a junk set over this little issue, as it sounded like everything was underwater, only one side was working until I put what I would consider way too much force on the jack while twisting and finally it snapped in and sounded great. The only thing I’m missing from the SteelSeries is the dual device connection capability to connect to my phone as well, but the lack of it keeps me more immersed in the game, along with not having intermittent signal interruptions that annoyingly cut out audio mid-game. The Epos is a cheaper, by far better sounding option over a wireless headset that has connectivity issues. Highly recommend if you can deal with the cord!

Better than expected
First off I love Sennheiser have the PC363D, 660s, IEMs, and now this GSP 602. This headset looks like something a pit boss would wear. When I first was trying the headset I plugged it in and only heard audio from right ear cup, hmm that’s weird wtf?Re-connected the green and red 3.5mm to my external Sound Blaster volume knob for the ZXR sound card, same thing! wtf?!Unplugged it gently and heard noises in both cups. Oh man did I get a bad wire? Disconnected wire from SB knob and headset, tried the single ended 3.5mm that also came in the box. Low volume in right ear cup. Now frustration kicked in, WTF?!!Jammed the 2.5mm into the headset ear cup and put more pressure till it felt secure, jammed the 3.5mm into the SB knob……Full freakin audio at 100 blasted my ears, ahhh YEAH! It works!Started listening to some music, bobbed head and horns came up to some Slipknot (These sound great!)Played some utube vids, yeah, I’m diggin that.Played some Battlefield 1 (OMG who shot at me?!, this is incredible)Took a deep breath and smiled with relief that they are working as intended are sounding incredible. If you go with these make sure you insert the plugs ALL the way in and save your heart ache. This headset can be loud af and sound almost as good as open back, almost. The isolation will be amazing for single player games but for games where open dialogue is needed it’s a little weird if you’re not used to closed back you might find yourself shouting.Usually I am not into ‘gamer’ themed gear but really like the look of these and they are insanely comfortable with the adjustable clamp force tabs on the top of the headset there is a little adjustability and you can tell the difference when moving them up and down. The ear cushions omg the ear cushions are so comfortable they are like pillows on the sides of your head very comfortable.Sound quality is Sennheiser quality and great in terms of balance and the highs are great without being to high and mids can help with hearing footsteps in first person games, and the bass is just right not over bearing and not non-existent. Overall very great sounding headset for gaming needs and talking on discord (just don’t shout lol).Recommend this headset if you can grab it on a sale it’s even better.

I am happy with everything: quality, packaging, delivery.
I am happy with everything: quality, packaging, delivery. the sound is high quality, clear, bought for gaming, happy, excellent microphone, many complain about the wire connection, I will say that the wire is protected by a strong plastic case, sits deep in the connection jack in the headphones, no matter how hard you try you wonât break it.

One star has been deducted.
I have deducted one star due to the foam padding coming apart after 6 months of use. Aside from this, they sound great and overall build quality seems very good. Could just be a fluke. Sadly, I will be needing to buy a replacement headset.

Horrible product for the price.
Bought one headset and it stopped playing audio out of one ear after a month. Bought another of the same headsets for some reason and same thing. Spent countless hours trying to figure out why my friend could hear me but i couldn’t hear them. Turns out itâs because this headset SUCKS.

1+ YEAR UPDATE
I’ve had this headset for over a year, maybe two and it’s still holding up. Noticed about a month ago that the right side is a little quieter than the left but I think that just goes with age. I just turn it up a little and I don’t notice it much. Great look, great build and comfy ad all heck.

Hi Everyone!Guys, first you need to know that this device is cool and good in sound. But I’m faced with an interesting thing – the sound was terrible and I had an issue with the right headphone. I try to check the audio settings and so on. I tried to use many devices for the testing but every time I had the same issue. So, I think that these headphones were broken or damaged. After I bought the same headphones and was so wander but with the new one I had the same issue too. I tried to check physically what was happening (trying to check PC ports, cables, etc) and came up with a great conclusion that this device has an on the end of the connection cable (to headphones) a thread and should be inserted into the port and on the dead end screwed inside. And now I have two pairs of working headphones. In addition, this device starts to be best (plus the microphone becomes cool) when you are using a separate sound card (in my case it is a Creative Sound BlasterX AE-5 Plus Pure Edition)
