Easy to install
Sturdy and secure, great option for the money. I’ve tried 2 others and ended up throwing them away. This one is perfect, strong magnetic connection. Buying more to give as Christmas gifts

Could be almost perfect except for one flaw
I love the form factor and the ability to swing the device around and above my dashboard if I need to. I actually use this for Natix which is an app that lets you earn a bit of crypto by capturing video of your drive. And to do this, I need my smartphone to peak over my dashboard for the camera to get a clear view of the traffic. There are very few magnetic vent mounts that do this. Most notably, this UGREEN mount and the uber-expensive Peak Design vent mount.The UGREEN vent mount has a mostly plastic construction except for one critical part, the hook, which is made out of metal. This is unlike the Peak Design vent mount which has a plastic hook despite it being more than 4x more expensive. There is a certain simplicity in the UGREEN mount which is not present in the Peak Design mount: there is only a single knob to retract the hook and to adjust the angle of the arm.However, the addition of the ratcheting height adjustment on the arm is a mixed blessing. On one hand, it makes it easy to adjust the height on the fly without having to loosen a knob, but on the other hand, it also has a tendency to ratchet back down if im pulling the phone away to detach it from the mount. That is due to the mount’s very strong magnetic strength, coupled with the relatively weak retention of the ratchet adjustment. I would say it has 3-4x the magnetic strength of the Peak Design mount. Another drawback of this ratchet design is that at the ratchet point, there is a wobbliness to it that you can’t get rid of, no matter what knobs are tightened. This is due to the extra space in between the ratcheting teeth. My only solution then would be to superglue or Bondo this space so that the ratcheting mechanism is glued into place, making this adjustment no longer possible.Aside from my gripes with the ratcheting system, my only other complaint is that there is no secondary attachment point at the bottom like with the Peak Design which would help it feel more sturdy by distributing the force across 2 vent slats instead of 1. It’s possible that Peak Design may have a patent on that particular dual-attachment point system since I don’t see any other manufacturers that do it.

Perfect Mount
I have bought many many iPhone mounts over the years and the flexibility of this mount is the best. It holds tight to the AC vent and you can move it just about anywhere you want hands-down my favorite mount I’ve purchased so far.

UGREEN Magnetic Phone Mount for Car Compatible for MagsafeThe design of this is nice – it’s pretty compact and easy to use.However, when tightened all the way, it would not grip my air vent.Apparently, my my vent louvers are not deep enough, and the clamp does not close down far enough, so it just dangled.Had to return it.(FIY – I have a 2002 Lexus IS300 – so maybe newer vents are deeper/wider)
