Underrated and very good for the money
It’s probably my most comfortable pair of headphones. The battery life is fantastic, the sound quality is really good, and the comfort is really good.I’ve seen others complain about the noise cancellation being weak, sure it’s not the strongest noise cancellation, but it definitely blocks out things like fan noise as soon as you engage the noise cancellation mode. The bluetooth range is near the best of all my devices.Physical buttons that are really comfy to use and well located and user friendly for play/pause and volume up/down is in my opinion so much better than the touch controls you get on most headphones. This alone – small physical buttons, makes this much nicer than most more expensive headphonesI own at least 8 pairs of expensive headphones, and this one is one of my overall favourites. My others include a couple of Sony WH-1000 3,4’s that I’ve warn out and fallen appart, some Bang and Olufsen Beoplay, Soundcore Anker Q45,Drop Panda THX, Grado GW 100, and various other gaming headphones from logitech and razer, and of course the apply airpods and airpods pro etc.So all I can say, this is a very good all rounder.

    Pretty good
The sound quality is pretty good. Not exceptional, but not lower in standard than expected for $99.I was NOT happy that it doesn’t come with a carrying case but luckily it fits perfectly into the case my wired audio-technicas that are now obsolete came with.

    So far, so Good!
I’m generally not a fan of over-ear headphones, but I find these to be exceptionally comfortable and crystal clear (to me-ymmv). They seem to have a solid build quality based on initial experiences. I have a moderately large head- xl hat size- but these rest comfortably on my head. The ear pads are comfortable also, and not nearly as warm as other over the ear headphones I have tried. The headphones are a bit bulky, so I would not travel with them.I listen to classical and jazz music primarily.Sound quality is excellent and balanced: no base boom or hyper treble.I have tried both the wireless and wired connections, but mostly I use them as wired headphones with my iPad sitting in my recliner.I prefer these to my Beats Solo 3 on ear headphones for comfort and sound. The Beats are smaller, but no lighter. And the Beats feel tight on my head.I prefer the ATH-300BTs to my Grado SR80 headphones in terms of the convenience of a single detachable 3.5 mm cable. To me, the sound quality of the ATH-S300BT in wired mode is a tie with the Grados. On the head, the Grados are a bit more comfortable because they seem lighter and less bulky. Also since the Grados are on-ear, they are less warm to wear in warm places and my head does not get hot.If I could get a pair of Grados with a single 3.5mm audio input jack, I would probably go with that, but they don’t exist at this price point. So for me, the ATH-300s are my favorite headphone right now.If someone were to make a robust 1meter usb-C to 3.5mm cable (are you listening V-Moda?)I would be a very happy camper indeed!Follow up: Eureka! Found the robust USB-C to 3.5mm headphone cable I was looking for by BlueRigger.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C9M8KLL1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1Audio life is sweet!Follow up Oct 2024- best value Headphones I have ever had: super light and comfortable, not hot, great sound, rugged!

    Very nice
Great comfortability for larger heads, and great audio quality all around, but maybe not as balanced as others in the mids. The Bluetooth protocol does still have some white background noise that is slightly noticeable on quieter moments or after stopping playback but that is not a fault of the headphones. INCREDIBLE battery life, when wireless, the volume only goes to about 40-50 percent of what you can get when plugged in, but I find it plenty for all situations. Both noise cancellation and hear-through work seamlessly and the two devices paired simultaneously is great and works flawlessly as long as playback is not occurring on both devices simultaneously. Great for people who need audio quality and battery life if you are willing to sacrifice your hair having a dent in it!

    Disappointing
I was very disappointed with the sound these provided. It seems Audio-technica’s only goal with these was to create a similar looking bland headphone with ANC to compete with the likes of Bose and Sony. While I did find the muted design of these to look decent, most of my positive thoughts stopped there. The ear pads were cramped, even for my smaller ears. The sound was flat and condensed with very little separation or sound stage. It was also plagued by terrible ANC which droned audibly during any lull in the music. Bass was muddy and felt cheap, clouding what little detail exists with these headphones. They claim a 90 hour battery life, which I did not get to test before returning as I could not force myself to try these out for longer than an hour. The sound was that disappointing and off-putting.The overall build quality seemed fine as well. I would feel safe traveling with these frequently, if the sound does end up being to your liking.Audio-technica is probably my favorite headphone manufacturer and I’ve had a good experience with their older WS990BT (I’ve used them so much the ear pads have flaked away and I still intend to use them for travel), so I was excited to give this newer offering a try.I came away very disheartened, and I hope this isn’t a path they continue down. To me, it feels like these were made for the marketing department; choosing to promote battery stats and look like a fashion piece. In my opinion, sound should be the primary focus of a headphone, even for Bluetooth ANC options. Fashion should follow far behind.

Good comfort and sound quality for the money. There are 3 modes: ANC, Off, and Transparency. The ANC isn’t the best but is competitive at the price point. The sound is very warm with a good amount of sub-bass, the highs are a bit veiled but it’s enjoyable if you prefer a warmer sound. The star of the show is the very long battery life – 60 hours with ANC on and 90 hours without. I think I’ve charged them like twice since I got them, but I only really use them when I go out on weekends
