Ding, ding, ding – I’m Disappointed: See Update
This charging stand seemed perfect at first. It charges my iPhone 13 Pro flawlessly and fast, even in its MagSafe case. I don’t have AirPods to recharge on the lower section of the charger, but I CAN lay my iPhone XR on that pad and recharge it wirelessly, even installed in its Apple Smart Battery Case! What a surprise that was! Unfortunately, though, the problem shows up in working with my Apple Watch. It actually DOES charge it ok. However, the pad for the Watch doesn’t conform well with the rounded back of its case. The charging pad is slightly concave, but is so shallow that it might as well be flat. It is magnetic and holds the Watch, but the contact is just on a pinpoint. The case would spin like a top if not for the Watch band.The reason this matters is because an Apple Watch needs to make good contact with a charger. When the contact is poor, the Watch keeps trying to reconnect, and you hear the familiar chime it always makes at that point. There is no way to make the connection better, even though it actually IS charging. Also, as far as anyone knows, you can’t silence that chime. So- if you want to charge your devices on your nightstand (or anywhere within earshot), it will chime every minute or two until you’re forced to disconnect it in order to sleep. This means that I have to charge my watch at some other time- NOT convenient at all! If you charge your devices in some room other than your bedroom, it shouldn’t be a problem. But for me, it turns a nearly perfect charger into a nuisance.** UPDATE**I have changed my rating from 2 stars to 5. Here’s why:Shortly after my initial review, I noticed that Amazon had a link where I could get support for that product, so I tried it. I explained my problem with charging the Watch, and an Amazon rep responded to me very quickly, telling not to worry, because this seller was one of their very best at handling customer/product issues and that they would take care of me. Sure enough, Selina from Amanki (seller) reached out to me ASAP , was very kind and concerned, and offered me the option of either replacement or return for a full refund. In fact, most of her communications with me took place over an entire weekend, when I thought for sure I wouldn’t hear from them until a “business day.” I was impressed.- While spending some significant time researching perhaps a better alternative charger, I learned two things. 1- A few random persons had experienced the same connection issues with other brands of chargers, but not many. So- it CAN happen, rarely. And 2- I really couldn’t find a design that I liked better than this one I had purchased. Therefore, I wrote back to Selina and offered to try a replacement IF she would guarantee that I could return it for a refund if it didn’t work either. Instantly (weekend, remember?) she messaged me on Sunday and reassured me that they would take care of me.*** Great news! I had the replacement the next day on Monday, and it worked perfectly… not one connection problem with the Watch, and no unwanted noises overnight. I tried again the next night, and again, my phone and watch charged perfectly. In fact, I also noticed that the Apple Watch charged much faster with the replacement, so there must have been some issue with charger #1.This seller’s customer service was superb, and I’m so glad that Selina made me comfortable enough to try a replacement (I was most hesitant). It turns out that the charger is everything I had hoped for and so far, performs beautifully. SO- to Selina, Amanki, and Amazon: many thanks! This is EXACTLY how customer support and service SHOULD be. I commend you for it, and I certainly recommend this seller and product to anyone. FIVE STARS!

Cool design, works great!
I purchased this unit to allow me to charge all of my wireless Apple gadgets, including my Apple Watch, iPhone, and AirPods Pro. This unit takes a single USB-C power connection and will recharge all of those devices.Note that if you have a case on your iPhone, make sure that it’s a MagSafe compatible case or your phone won’t “stick” to the magnetic connector. You can easily tell as the MagSafe cases tend to have a circle on the back of them.I’m very pleased with this unit’s style/design and performance. The only downsides I can think of are that it’s bulky and doesn’t fold, so it’s not really practical for travel, and the watch connector allows the watch to kind of swivel around when it’s on it. It doesn’t seem to affect charging, but it’s kind of weird when the watch is cocked at a 45 degree angle from the back of the unit. Not a big deal, just kind of odd.Also be aware, just as a general note, that magnetic charging is definitely slower than physically plugging a cable into your phone or AirPods. The new MagSafe technology built into the phones is definitely faster than the old technology, but it’s still not as fast. I’m OK with that, as I primarily use this charging stand for overnight charges, which are slower anyway due to battery preservation measures.Overall, I’m really pleased with this unit and it’s been working flawlessly for 3 months or so. Highly recommended!
