Clean the surface with the provided alcohol pad, let it dry for a couple minutes, adhere the mount to your dashboard, press firmly for about a minute. They recommend letting it sit for 24 hours before using, and this is probably a good idea, but I found it was pretty well sealed in place after 3-4 hours.The metallic disc you adhere to the back of your phone they recommend letting it sit for an hour before using, I would actually recommend letting it sit for at least 3+ hours as well. The first disc I used immediately came off the phone when removing it from the magnetic mount in the car. Thankfully, they provide a total of 4 discs (2 large, 2 small). This also may just speak to how powerful of a magnet is being used, it provides a VERY strong grip on the phone- which is great.Driving over bumps my phone doesn’t move at all, and unlike many of the plastic “arm” or “tray” type phone mounts there’s no creaking/movement of the mount at all. The mount itself also takes significantly less space than the aforementioned mount types.If your phone supports wireless charging, do be mindful of where you place the metal disc on the back of the phone. If you cover the wireless charging contact area, it will no longer work (their instructions do caution this). On my phone I had to place the bottom edge of the metal disc about 1/4″ up from bottom of the phone, otherwise it would not charge on my wireless charging surface. You can test this out by simply placing the metallic disc under the phone (not adhering it) on the charging surface and see where you need to place the disc and still be able to wirelessly charge.Even though that makes the anchor point like 4/5 of the way down the phone, the magnet is easily strong enough to not make this an issue. If you don’t have wireless charging, then you can really place the disc wherever you want on the back of the phone and I can confidently say the magnet will have no problem holding the phone in place, it really can’t be understated enough how strong this magnet is!

Nice, solid little mount.
This mount has a nice, solid build. Its magnetic strength is strong enough to hold a mid-size phone without worry. It has a small footprint and mounting area, and it’s just easy not to notice because it’s not in your face or sticking out or over other things in your car. It does what it needs to and stays out of your way, otherwise. Great little mount.

Extremely Durable; Full Rotation; Strong Adhesive; Etc.
The car mount is extremely durable and the phone does not fall no matter where you go. It’s extremely easy to install. If you don’t want the adhesive directly on your phone, then get a phone case. (Preferably a phone case you don’t mind having adhesive stickers on) If you take the phone mount off of the car, it’s really easy to clean the area. Make sure to reapply adhesive to the end of the mount if you want to relocate the mount to a different car or location. So many more great things using this magnetic mount, most of the other reviews cover that as well. Don’t listen to the negative reviews because they may have been defective or damaged when received which could have been easily replaced thanks to Amazon’s fantastic return policy. If defective or damaged, request a new one, return the old one, and you’ll be good to go. I hope this review helps in the decision process.

I contacted caw about this directly and they did not offer a solution other than their products are stocked in an Amazon warehouse and I’d have to get another or use superglue to fix it? Really. Very poor customer service – the front of the mount is coming off and I use an iPhone 13 Pro on it not the max version it’s definitely not over loaded on the weight side and I’ve had this not even 8 months of use. I could accept it was a one off and then to send another or part but the customer service I got back was awful, do not purchase this unless you’re willing to for out for a replacement should it start to fall apart.
