Great product.
(Update: 9 months in, still work great! Battery life is still 20 hours. Would definitely recommend.)Very surprised at the great sound. Bass is bass, treble is treble and everything in between!Noise cancellation is very good, and clean.Impressed.Had them for about 24 hours now. Letâs see how long they last. My old Skullcandy ones would last about a year. Tired of having to send them in for an inferior replacement.Letâs see how Phillips handles my life.

Very Low Battery Life
Product advertised has a nine hour battery life. Mine lasted under three hours.Then it wouldn’t charge at all and was just dead. That said, I liked the features and the sound was really quite good. So I exchanged it for another one.That didn’t work out.New one arrived, I charged it up and same thing – it crapped out in under three hours. The last thing “it” said was “line in”. Which I believe meant it no longer worked as Bluetooth and could only work as a hard line in. (Which is a really nice feature in itself.)So now I’ve tried this Phillips product twice and both where bad. I can only believe they got a bad batch from their manufacturer.Shame, I really liked the product and wanted it to work.

Not type-c and finicky after 2mo
(+)- Simple sound signature, not overly bassy- Long battery life (excellent standby time, I haven’t ever run out of power (lowest 40% after 2 days)- Great ANC for droning sounds e.g., vacuum, bus engines, crowds of people- Magnets!- Turns itself off after a while when no music is playing(-)- Doesn’t operate well in the cold- “Line in” (the physical mini-3.5mm port triggers randomly when bluetooth is on and no line is in and stops audio playback- Line when plugged in doesn’t sit very comfortably- Poor ANC for ‘point sounds’ e.g., individual voices- Very poor ambient sound mode- Surprisingly large neckband and (shorter cables than expected)- Cable connection points feels like they’re weak-points- Old (micro) usb connector (not type-c)- Magnets don’t trigger play/pause

UPDATEAs shown in my original review, I had a good opinion of the PN505. Regrettably, the Active Noise Cancelling stopped working. I am mad and feel cheated. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM !!ORIGINAL REVIEWThis is the second unit I purchased. I bought the first one about two years and have performed like a charm. I initially purchased it to use while mowing the lawn. I needed neckband earphones with good active noise cancelling (ANC) so that they do not fall to the ground while riding the lawnmower. To my surprise, it came with a sound cable that I use it all the time while traveling abroad.After reading the reviews I was very surprised to hear that some consumers had battery life problems. I haven’t had any problems with my unit. I was concerned about buying another unit in light of these complaints. At the end, not being able to find a comparable alternative with wired/wireless capabilities, I decide to buy another PN505.The first thing I did when I received the unit was to fully charge it and used it–listening music with ANC on–until the power level LED started blinking. It took eleven hours, not the twelve hours mentioned by the manufacturer but nevertheless pretty good…!Overall, the PN505 is a bargain. I also have Bose in ear headphones … The ANC is pretty good though a bit below the quality of ANC in my Bose unit. Similarly, the Bose’s battery last longer than the PN505’s. However, based on my experience, considering that the Bose unit costs 3-4 times more than the PN505 it is easy to conclude that the PN505 is a good choice.

Not a good product
I had the Sony WI-1000XM2. I lost them and it seems like they have been discontinued. So decided to try these as a replacement. Yes, these are about a quarter of the price but you get what you pay for. For most phone calls the person canât hear me when I am talking. Playing music is fine and the noise cancelling works ok when there isnât a lot of background noise. But loud noises like sirens and trains drown out whatever you are listening to, especially talk like podcasts. Maybe I got a bad set but I doubt it based on all the bad reviews on here. Going to try and find another Sony product.

Nice In Ear Headphones
I just received the headphones yesterday. This was a replacement for a headphone that finally was not working. I am pleasantly surprised by the noise cancelling. I walked by a landscaper who was blaring the blowers and could not hear them unless I removed the earpiece. So far so good and I may buy the product again. I was easy to charge, simple set up and not too many features to make use complicated. Well done Phillips and the price was great. Solid bass with the NC feature. I needed something that would fit around my neck instead of just earbuds.UPDATE: As of December 27,2023. Power On/Off Button has had a problem really after the third month of this review. Instead of repair, I am looking for a new pair of NC around the neck Headphones. If the power Button was better this would be a good choice. but now after only a year and a bit, probably not.

This is a nice pair of budget headphones from Philips. Itâs form factor is more formal than sporty. I just used it for one day and these are my views.Pros:1. Sound quality is great. True virtualisation of sound is present.2. Bass is good. Not overpowering but just adequate. I love that!3. Bluetooth connectivity is awesome.4. Mic is also great during calls. No echoes or disturbances heard on either end.5. Battery is okay.6. Comfortable to wear for long hours.Cons:1. Build quality isnât sturdy.2. Noise cancellation isnât super.3. No water proofing.4. Battery could have been better.5. Google assistant is useless for iPhone and Siri isnât supported.Itâs an underrated product on Amazon and the current price is a steal! Itâs hard to find it using standard search keywords in Amazon.

1. ANC is ok.2. Major drawback is single device connectivity. If its connected to my laptop and I have to connect it to my phone I have to open my laptop turn off bluetooth and then only I can connect it to my phone.3. Not good for running or exercising4. Sound qaulity: Bass is good and highs are good, mids are not that good.Not Recommended
