Strong magnetic hold
This comes with a small, thin metal plate you stick on the back of your phone case that creates a strong magnetic hold. It works and doesn’t block the air vent.Update: I changed cases, the metal piece does not stick well to silicone cases. It worked great on a leather case.

I do like this phone holder, but even after letting it set for 24 hours, the magnet you put on the back of your phone, doesn’t seem to stay on my phone, also, when I make turns, the phone falls off of the holder. I’m considering sending this back.*** I am editing my review, I said the mag on the back of the phone, doesn’t seem to stay on the holder,,,,BUT,,,as my husband pointed out to me,,I neglected to take the blue covering off, I thought it was just part of the back, he said no, it was a cover I had to peel off. So,, it does stay put now. My mistake.

Great design and compact. The magnets were not strong enough to hold my phone. Other than that a great car phone holder.

Works but not very strong
I have one and needed a second so I thought this was the one I bought previously. It was not and the magnet is not very strong to hold my samsung ultra. Maybe a smaller phone?. I already attached it so no sending back.

I choose this one as it was nearly half the price of all the others showing up, so I thought why not, it’s brilliant & sturdy, glad I didn’t pay extra for different one.

Monté primero las dos piezas, porque siempre es más fácil hacerlo fuera del coche que dentro, y luego sujeté el soporte a la rejilla. Para hacerlo, tienes que ajustar la longitud con la rosca, y una vez sujeto, la rejilla del coche dejó de ser regulable y sale poco aire, por lo que tendría que cambiarla a rejilla del lado del acompañante, pero entonces el ángulo de visión del móvil ya no sería igual.He hecho solo un par de recorridos por ciudad con él y acabó cayéndose el móvil en uno de los trayecto, en un giro. Para mi sorpresa, porque el recorrido tenía badenes y en los badenes se mantuvo y al montarlo no las tenía todas conmigo, porque en el ángulo inicial, próximo a la vertical, el móvil no llegaba a mantenerse en el soporte y tuve que ponerlo más cerca de 45-60º.Dicho esto, utilizo el móvil (menos de 6”) con una funda normal y el anillo entre funda y móvil, tal y como se indica en la descripción. Imagino que sin funda o con una magnética funcionará mejor, pero iba con unas expectativas que no se han cumplido y por eso no tiene más estrellas.Edito para añadir que con funda magnética el móvil no se ha caído ni una vez. Sin ella, en un trayecto largo tuve que desistir de usarlo en el momento en que la carretera dejó de tener un buen firme (firme normal) porque no paraba de caerse.
