    Great for the price
At first I freaked out when I opened the package. The computer had a AMD Processor sticker on it. I bought the one with the Intel pentium, NIVIDEA . I then went to the HP website and put in the model number and found that in was indeed the Intel pentium, someone put an AMD sticker on it by accident. What are the odds? So far the PC is great and is super fast. 👌 No complaints. 😀

    Not bad PC for price
I ordered this to replace my PC from 2010 and I have to say it’s fantastic. I haven’t ran into a game yet I can’t play with high settings and it’s loading is quick. MMOS are gorgeous and the PC is as quiet as a mouse.

    Best computer for the price
My granddaughter needed certain specs for her computer. This computer had all the specs she desired. The price point was perfect as I was shopping around. The computer came fast and it’s everything it said it was

This is a piece of garbage masquerading as a desktop computer.
Despite knowing for years that buying a HP computer of any kind is asking for trouble, I bought this on sale. This was a high-end category error.I will explain in two parts: One for those for whom computers are just supposed to be things that work, and one for those who expect them to fail and to be able to repair them. For the people with better things to do with their time than fight computers:HP uses customized and proprietary parts. What this means is that when, and the emphasis is on when, something goes wrong, you can only get it repaired at an authorized shop (likely outside their short warranty period) and even then, it’s a dice toss, because they likely won’t manufacture the parts any more. The parts, other than brand-name components (the processor from Intel or AMD, the graphics card from NVIDIA or AMD), will be garbage from generic manufacturers that will fail. The troubleshooting you will find on the internet will not help because the things you can do with other computers won’t work here. The non-brand components are made in garbage factories in Guangdong or some part of Taiwan about which most Taiwanese don’t like to speak. You will either pay a great deal of money — nearly the cost of the device — and time to fix this thing or you will buy a new one in very short order.tl;dr: Don’t buy this. Buy anything but this or a Lenovo. Heck, buy an Acer, they’re not great but they usually last longer. For those of you who see a constantly-failing boot cycle and think, “Argh, gonna need to replace the power supply,” or “Hm, I think the current SSD needs to be replaced, let me find the specs and order a new one,” I have news that tracks with the above but is even more frustrating: You’re toast. The board is garbage and proprietary, the power supply is proprietary and garbage, and you won’t be able to order replacements from HP; the ones you can order from here and elsewhere are likely not for this model (or any but the most common business line). The BIOS has somehow been stripped down to the point at which you cannot even set boot sequence outside of “Use the flash drive/Use the CD ROM/Use the network/Use the OS.” The board has trouble with extra drives. The board has trouble with the built-in drives.I’m passable at Mandarin and that’s the only reason I could get enough tech specs to determine the PCIe drive’s build. Oh, and it doesn’t have a heat sink, and instead relies on the two, count them, two, fans cooling the processor and entire rest of the box, and one is the dedicated CPU fan.tl;dr: Don’t buy this unless you like the idea of buying a new computer in a year or two. Note that I didn’t say “or fixing this one,” because, as I hope I’ve made clear, that ain’t happening. This thing is on a countdown to failure and you’re strapped in once you buy. This was the dumbest purchase I’ve ever made and I’ve played Ultima Online. If I could give no stars, I would.

5 months and dead – poor support
Received the product June 1, 2022 – RIP November 5, 2022 – Contacted HP Support 11/7/22 online. Reported: Computer boots to gray screen with active cursor at 9:30 AM PST – ended chat at 12 PM. Three different techs asking same questions getting same answers assuring me they would do their best to help and did not! Warranty is worthless if you can’t get anyone to actually answer your questions or give you any instruction how to get this piece of junk to a real repair facility. EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER.

A decent PC with a decent pricepoint
I’d like to say first off, this isn’t a PC to be buying in 2022. You should be saving up 500$ more to get something a bit more future-proofed. This will be an obsolete computer in 2-3 years.BUT for what it is now, this is a decent deal.I’ll break down how much it costs to make the PC and the profit they make off selling it…CPU – 149$GPU – 149$RAM – 40$SSD – 50$Case – 40$Motherboard – 70$PSU – 40$PC parts total: 538$Price you pay: 883$Room for profit – 300-400$Which is a bit too high for my taste… If you’re strapped for cash and this is already pushing it, maybe purchase it. I’d prefer something with a 1650 super or maybe a 1660 super in it for this price. But this will be a decent 1080p gaming machine, you could play majority of all games with it as of now.Things like Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption 2 + other AAA games like it will struggle on this though.

    Good pc
12/13/2021:The Oculus Quest 2 wasn’t as compatible with my setup as I had hoped. Even my tech-savvy friend, who checked the specs and was impressed with what I was getting for the price, was surprised. However, I managed to connect it to the Oculus Quest 2, albeit not seamlessly. I had to resort to using Virtual Desktop, an app from the Oculus Quest store, to connect and play VRchat. I haven’t tried other games yet. Overall, the PC runs well, especially considering its price tag (which was lower when I bought it in November 2021, around $760) now $800+.Update 05/13/2024:After reading other reviews, I’m unsure if I was fortunate or if it’s due to the computer’s build quality when I bought it, or perhaps because of my software/hardware maintenance, having McAfee installed, and taking good care of it. Regardless, my computer is still performing just as well as the day I purchased it. However, considering that I mainly use it for schoolwork now and only occasionally for VR gaming, I’m not exactly putting it through the wringer either. Despite my positive review I wouldn’t recommend buying this computer today unless the price reflects its age since it was released quite some time ago… at the current price of this update with it being 650$ and being 3+ years old it’s not a good price when there are newer and better computers on the market at a similar or better price point.
