🎶 HYBRID DUAL DRIVERS: The Epic Lab Edition boasts hybrid dual drivers – a dynamic driver for rich bass and low frequencies, and a Knowles balanced armature driver for exquisite high frequencies. This fusion of drivers results in unparalleled, well-balanced, and crystal-clear sound quality. Here’s how Knowles created a balanced armature driver tuned for higher frequencies.

🔇 HYBRID ANC: Smart Active Noise Cancelation adjusts to the environment and continually learns how to best cancel noises, offering the best audio experience. Control how you hear outside noise with three noise control modes: ANC On, ANC Off and Be Aware (pass through outside noises).
📱 JLAB APP: With the new JLab App, you’ll have control to customize the Be Aware setting to let outside noise in, touch controls, and sound to your personal preference – or use the presets for JLab Signature, Balance or Bass Boost. Safe hearing option allows you to protect your ears from hearing damage with volume limits. Plus get software updates for your product right when they’re available. Available on the App or Google Play Store.
💦 SWEATPROOF SPORT FIT: Built to endure rigorous workouts, the IP66 rating protects against sweat and dirt, making these earbuds perfect for the gym, trails, and beyond. The ergonomic earhook is designed to fit even the smallest ears, staying securely and comfortably in place throughout your workout. Plus, with a built-in interval timer, you can easily program custom routines and stay focused on your training.

Overall Thoughts
I really like the sound quality, the way the earbud fits on your ear. the battery life is pretty good. And I love how multi-functional it is with the motion sensors. The ear tips that came with the earbuds arenât really comfortable but with the Jlab foam tips, it makes up for its comfort. Overall, the quality of the earbuds is pretty good!

Great sound and secure fit for workouts, but some minor setbacks
These earbuds are an excellent option for active users who want both good-quality sound and secure, comfortable fit during workouts. I was impressed with the balanced sound across a range of genres and activities. These earbuds handle everything from powerful bass in electronic music to clear vocals and mid-tones in acoustic tracks.Although I acquired these for workouts and outdoor use (not for calls), I did find the call quality is impressive; voices are clear and sharp. I can see it being ideal for those taking calls on the go or during workouts.I appreciate how well the earbuds stay in place with the over-ear hooks, and the multiple ear-tip options make it easy to get a good fit. Even during high-intensity workouts, they never felt loose, and their IP66 rating offers durability against sweat, light rain, and dust. The app has been nice, allowing EQ customization with presets like Signature and Bass Boost, plus a custom 10-band equalizer. It’s allowed me to pre-set the EQ to what I like best and it’s noticeable in the sound quality through the earbuds. The appâs controls are intuitive, and the customizable touch commands are handy; however, the volume control slider on the earbuds themselves can be overly sensitive, which sometimes leads to unintentional changes. It’s minor by all means but worth noting. The ANC feature is decent, though not as immersive as some other earbuds and headphones I have. Though, I use these primarily for outdoor workouts and activities, and the lighter ANC is actually useful, where a bit of ambient sound helps maintain awareness of the surroundings. The battery life has been amazing thus far, lasting me over a week of workouts on a single charge. The various options it has for charging has been one of my favorite features. All other earbuds and headphones I have are either not wireless or require a separate cord to charge. It’s handy to just set this on the wireless charger or not having to grab a cable out of my bag to charge. While thereâs room for improvement with the ANC and touch sensitivity, these earbuds are fantastic for those who workout and want good sound quality while doing so. I rate it at four stars mostly due to the price-product ratio. The price isn’t bad, but it may be on the higher side relative to other products that also have a good solid-fit and good sound quality.Overall, you can’t go wrong with these, especially for people who are looking for solid earbuds for active workouts and voice communication.

They never fall out
I’ve always had issues with earbuds falling out after a few minutes my ears sweat alot because earbuds always dislodge and force me to constantly readjust them these earbuds don’t have that issue thanks to the hook that stabilizes the earbuds and makes them very secure I’ve work these for hours at work and never had them fall out. That said everything isn’t perfect the range for one isn’t as good as my Samsung buds pro the jlab earbuds do ok when inside the phone is within sight but whenever I go to another room the signal will cut out periodically. When I first go them they also had a really annoying issue with sound cutting in and out constantly regardless of the mode or distance of the device to the earbuds but there was a update that seems to have stabilized this issue and I no longer have any sound cutting out. One thing I really like is that you can activate the various anc options while only wearing one of the earbuds I’ve never seen another earbud that lets you have anc on or be aware while using only one earbud. The build quality is also very good nothing feel cheap there’s USB c charging as well as wireless and even a built in USB c cable for emergencies into the case. I also really like the setting that limits the volume of the earbuds so that you don’t listen to loud it reduces the maximum volume and therefore makes adjusting the volume in smaller increments much easier I often find my other earbuds to loud without this option. Overall I’m happy with these earbuds they’re definitely alot of value built into a solid package they don’t have the best range but they’re perfect for my needs.

I want to love these but JLAB is a horrible company
I really really really want to love these. I’ve had two pairs now, both of which cut out every 30s -1m or so. That’s incredibly annoying and unacceptable considering the price and the claims.I really love JLAB, but these are not up to par. The sound is actually the best, I prefer them over most of my other sets that are 2x the price. BUT you know what my other sets do? STAY CONNECTED AND DON’T CUT OUT.JLAB support took over a month to reply to any support email and refused to help me, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.Please, if someone from JLAB reads this…update the firmware if that’s the issue or contact me to get this figured out because I want to love these.

I canât customize the functions
They sound great, but I can seem to get the app to allow me to customize the controls to skip a head or increase volume. The last pair I bought let me do that so Iâm kind of disappointed I canât do that with these. Iâm thinking of returning them.

Comfortable
They fit well for me. Good volume for calls. I have one in all day long for work and for music/podcasts. Comfortable for the whole day.

I bought these earphones primarily because they offered a full suite of controls which includes volume control on both earphones. Most other earphones have play, pause, skip as standard but they lack volume control. Some which offered volume control often came at a sacrifice for another feature. I wanted to have full access with no compromise. Second thing I wanted was comfort for long runs and security that they wonât fall out. That is why I choose the form actor.I connected these to my sports watch for music and prompts during work outs. The headphone stayed in place during the entire session with no issues in comfort. The only problem I had was accidentally touching the wrong things. On he first run when I was putting the headphones in, I accidentally skipped the track and turned volume up to max, which was less than ideal. This might be a learning curve and Iâm hoping the more I use them Iâll figure it out. When you skip, pause there is a 2-3 second delay and some times it didnât respond. Which can be a bit confusing whether I have to tap again or wait for it to do its thing. I have noticed instead of tapping and short press on the capacitive touch area is more effective. Itâs slight annoying but not a show stopper. The volumes works instantaneously so no issues there. The ANC works and itâs simple to activate. You get clear spoken feedback. This lets you know which mode you are in – no guess work or trying to remember which tones mean what. Taking one earphones out takes between 2-4 seconds for the one left in to pause the audio; again this is only a slight inconvenience. I was listening loud with ANC on, I took one of the earphones out to reply to someone and theyâll start talking while the other headphone still blasting music Iâm my ear.. maybe this is only be because I use them connected to my watch for audio. Next time I could have try to cycle through to turn ANC off or I could mask the wait time for the music to pause by talking first. Anyway, after my season I kept the earphones in listening to the music. This is something I never did with my old set of earphones because the audio was not great. After installing the JLab app and playing around with the EQ settings my expectations were blown away by the bass response and the overall sound quality. There is plenty to do in app, a feature that took me by surprise was the ability to burn in the audio drivers in the earphones. Iâve only heard about that feature on expensive car audio set ups – whether itâs a gimmick here or not it was interesting to see it being offered. I let mine burn in while I slept until the battery died.If these earphones could delivered a secure fit, okay sound quality, and easy to use controls I would have been happy. With all those boxes ticked my experience went far above my expectations. All in all, these are great earphones and I hope they keep working for allot more sweaty hours to come. At the price point for these earphones, I felt it would be unfair to compare these to my Apple EarPods Pro 2 but comparing them to the EarPods they hold their own. For my use case, connected to a non-Apple watch, they beat the Apple EarPods in every way.

The JLab Epic Air Sport ANC Gen 3 earbuds are an excellent choice for those who lead an active lifestyle and require durable, high-quality sound. These earbuds boast an impressive battery life, offering over 68 hours of total playtime including the charging case, which is a significant plus for long workouts or travel. The fit is exceptionally secure due to the over-ear design, ensuring that they stay in place even during intense activities. The sound quality is well-balanced and crisp, making them suitable for a variety of music genres. Although the bass isn’t overwhelmingly heavy, it provides a pleasant listening experience, especially for vocals and detailed music performances. Additionally, the IP66 sweat resistance makes them a reliable companion for gym sessions and outdoor runs.On the downside, while the Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) feature is present, it may not be as effective as some might hope, especially in very noisy environments like planes or trains. However, the ‘Be Aware’ mode is a beneficial feature, amplifying surrounding sounds for safety during outdoor activities. The JLab app adds value by allowing customisation of touch controls and sound preferences, although the touch sensitivity on the earbuds can sometimes lead to unintentional changes. Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall performance, secure fit, and additional features like Bluetooth Multipoint and wireless charging make these earbuds a solid choice for anyone looking to enhance their workout experience with quality sound and convenience.

I previously had the older model of these headphones, and they lasted for about three years, which I think is excellent given the price. I’ve had this new model for a week and they are a big improvement. You can now control more from the headphones themselves without having to fish out your phone on a run, and the controls are now symmetrical, so you can do all you need to even if you only have one headphone in. The battery life also seems to be improved, and the occasional problem of the headphones auto-pausing midway through a run seems to have been resolved.
