Quite sturdy
I tend to drive on some rough roads and that’s usually where my iPhone either falls off the magnetic mount or the mount falls off the dash/windshield or the ball section of the mount experiences so much stress that it snaps off. The end result of all this is my iPhone ends up falling to the floor of the car. How do I deal with that?I decided to try out the HTU 2025 version MagSafe Car Mount with Stabilizer to see how it would work. I’ve tried many phone mounts over the years and I’ve got to say that this HTU is one of the strongest. I did find the arm a little difficult to bend – which is both good and bad, but once mounted and adjusted, my phone did not move. The magnet is very strong and held both my iPhone 13 with MagSafe and (using one of the included metal rings) my older iPhone SE2. I wasn’t a fan at first, but in the end MagSafe works quite well at holding phones.The HTU uses a 17mm ball mount to hold the magnetic head which means you can attach pretty much any ball-mounted device to like a Garmin GPS or one of those CarPlay screens. The HTU’s ball looks to be pretty robust and shouldn’t break like some others.Not to be forgotten, the kit also includes one of my favorite vent mounts. Instead of pinching the vent slat, the HTU holds behind it and cranks down to hold tight. As long as your vent’s slats are robust, this mount works great. And since it uses the same 17mm ball as the suction mount, you can attach pretty much anything to it.Overall, I like the HTU 2025 version MagSafe Car Mount with Stabilizer.

Itâs superb that there are 2 holders in the one pack with this as in my van some holders donât quite fit or suit the way itâs designed. Luckily both these fit perfectly and I am more than happy with how they both stay once fitted on.I have found the long bendy one wobbles around while driving die to the arm on it, but I have opted to use the MagSafe one over this just because of how easy it is. My iPhone goes straight on it and stays on it too using the MagSafe magnet already built in the back. In this set it comes with 2 MagSafe magnets as well so they can be stuck onto a phone case which does not have one already in.Both are easy enough to install and everything needed comes in the set, including wipes and cloths. The MagSafe one just tightens into the air vent and even has a point when Iâm tightening in it begins to click over so I donât over tighten it.
