I ordered a classroom set of these, and I highly recommend. There are so many brands out there, but these really hold up and are comfortable. I ended up sharing some with other classrooms, and they were always returned in perfect condition.These are great for students with sound sensitivities, but I have been even more impressed with how they help some of my students with attention issues to focus on the task at hand. Ten minutes and no progress on the assignment? Try using a pair of the headphones to see if that helps!Update: Two years later, I still have not had a single one break. Great investment for your precious funds!

Good for noise sensory individuals
They reduce noise well. Autistic son can still hear when at movie theater that’s too loud. He wears them to sleep and I’ve tested myself and they seem comfortable. Because my son is tough on things in general, he’s cracked off the earmuffs where you can’t snap back on. I save all unbroken parts and ordered another. When he broke it again, I could use parts from both to make a new set.Again, my son is very tough on things. Otherwise, I believe these will hold up well if taken proper care of.

Dulls Noise
I get overwhelmed by loud sounds, particularly when I’m in a crowd or trying to focus (like when reading a book). While these ear muffs don’t block sound entirely, they do dull it. The loud WHIIIIIRR of a vacuum cleaner becomes a tolerable whiiiiirr, the loud performance in a crowd becomes less overwhelming (though definitely still audible), and the quiet ambient noises around me (the ticking of a clock, the chirping of crickets, the scratch of a pencil on paper) fade away. Again, not to nothing- but they fade enough that I can concentrate. YMMV.It’s difficult to describe how much it affects noise around you, but I might liken it to covering your ears- and these are generally going to be more socially acceptable than that. They don’t help as much with, say, overlapping conversation in the room around you because you will still likely be able to hear what’s being said, and words are one of the more distracting sorts of noises in my opinion.They do feel a bit cheap (indeed, they are a bit cheap, but I’m grateful for the affordability), but they’re comfortable enough (I think personally I could wear them for up to an hour before needing a break from them), easy to adjust, and small enough I can fold them and fit them in my purse. So I’d say they’re a good deal for what they are.

Autism Aid right here
I’m an autistic adult. Or at the very least an adult with sensory disorders. Noises HURT sometimes. Toddlers and small children are physically painful. I can pop these on and hang out around family when they’ve brought their little noise machines over. It’s a life saver. You can still hear people talk really clear but background noise is taken out
