Good Pairing and Solid Value
I was looking for a new mobo and cpu for my new computer build and happened to spot this. After thorough comparisons to other motherboards and cpus (unbundled). This bundle had a solid pairing and very competitive pricing which brings good value unless you’re looking for a specialty motherboard. I got exactly what I was looking for in this bundle and would recommend this to anyone starting their new build and needing a simple pair with good value. The motherboard is simple, rugged, and does motherboard things. Not much to say there, but the 12600kf is a great value chip with great modern efficiency and speed.

New computer Motherboard
Works great with my Disk drive hub, that my other motherboard would reboot all the time when using it.Outstanding Gaming, and daily tasks.

Very good combination
The complete instructions have to be gathered using a QR code. The information is actually really good. I found the motherboard update and a video very easy. The motherboard set up was straightforward. With the CPU, cooler, 1 NVME, RAM and a power supply, it came alive on my monitor. The motherboard found all the installed components. The update (motherboard) was simple and watched it on the screen. Loaded Windows and the motherboard did all of its updates right after. Installed a 4080 and hours of no issues. I was surprised because I typically have to tweak a computer all week.Down side, to do an update to the motherboard, you need a FAT 32 format. My Windows 11 doesnât support that. I found an old thumb drive and was lucky enough that it worked. If it asks to change the file to MSI.something. Put an original title and a renamed title on the drive together. I donât think it saw the renamed file.

Motherboard DOA, Poor support from Manufacturer
I opened a web ticket with MSI and and got a quick response telling me to update BIOS. I responded stating I cannot update the BIOS as the computer fails POST and does not boot. Even when I google ways to update the BIOS on MSI, everything states to enter BIOS. I get no video from the onboard video so I can’t see if I am entering BIOS setup or not. Have not heard a thing from MSI support since. POOR Support in my eyes.I have never had an issue with the seller. In fact I really miss living by one like I did a few years ago. The MSI motherboard does not Post, all I get is red/yellow blinking lights before stopping yellow. Which points to RAM. The RAM I purchased is listed as acceptable RAM on MSI list of approved RAM. So I bought more RAM (never hurts having more) and same issue. Registration of the motherboard is horrible with the manufacturer as you have to create an account and they share your information with a 3rd party advertising agency so I am giving my email and name to someone who is going to inundate me with SPAM. I am so sorry I went with MSI. And I will never do that again. I have always used a different brand, but I wanted to save money (had I still lived near the sellers store I could have bought the brand of MB I prefer, gotten the processor I got and the RAM I got as a bundle) but since they do not do online sales other than through here, I was limited and could not get a break on the RAM. Lesson learned: You get what you pay for. I am so disgusted with MSI over the registration that I am dreading trying to file a warranty claim. I wish I could just send this board back and buy the brand I prefer as the RAM I have is on their list too.

MSI motherboard with I9-12900 chip
I replaced my old MSI 170 with I5 -6500 chip with this board and chip since Iâve started doing video editing of 4K files form my GoPro. My old system had a several second pause every time I edited an hour plus long file loaded up in my video editor software. This sped the whole process up to maybe a half second delay with a cut and splice. This cpu runs Hot!!! My stock fan/heat sink from the older chip just couldnât keep up. Temps would get to 210 degrees F and it would throttle the chip back. I replaced with a huge heat sink and now it doesnât go above 160 degrees F with a max load for several minutes. Iâve had good luck with MSI motherboards over the years and this one is no exception. I like the software that comes with it to tweak settings as itâs easy to navigate and this system can be overclocked and monitored easily.

No instructions
Iâm certain the motherboard and CPU are fantastic. I havenât assembled them yet because I have to purchase a different size cpu fan and new power supply. An irritating thing about this product is thereâs no manual. Scan a QR code to download it. When you do that, EVERY single instruction inside the downloaded manual requires scanning a different code to view the instruction on you tube. Why not just write a manual that can be downloaded? I had to purchase a different sized cpu fan and power supply. My bad, I could have read the requirements first so no problem there. I have used MSI motherboards before and every one was outstanding. I expect this one will be also.
