    Good, simple computer!
I will be the first to say I am not a technologically inclined person. When I started online classes for college I wanted two things- flip ability and touch screen.I love that this has windows, split screens, and all the features of it so far are great. The only complaint I can think of is that the volume doesn’t go up very high but I just attach it to my Bluetooth speaker and we’re good to go! This has also come in handy for road-trips when my son uses it to watch movies (so it also connects to hotspots).Overall, a nice computer for what you pay for!

    Sleek and capable
I love this laptop. It is small and sleek and really fast. It connects to Bluetooth without issue. The tablet function is also really nice it folds back and forth without issue and that is important as I sometimes have to share it with my toddler. Overall, this is a great value for the quality and I will purchase this again for my son for his next semester. I will be receiving a warranty extension from ASUS for my feedback.

Excellent laptop but scarcity of ports…
Very surprised by the quality performance of the processor, it being a SSD makes a huge difference. The laptop is thin and light. Battery life is very good as well. Sound is much louder than most laptops. What’s not to like? Well…the lack of ports is the biggest pain. It has ONE USB Type-C, ONE micro USB port, and a SD card slot that sticks out (nowhere close to flush). You read that right — NO regular USB ports. If you want to use a standard flash drive or external USB storage drive, you’ll need an adapter. Two for two different ports — you will need a USB Type-C to regular USB (Type-A) and Micro USB to regular USB. Or, you can buy Type-C flash drives…but even at that, we all have regular old flash drives laying about. So, there ARE adapters, it’s just a hassle. Otherwise, display looks great, the “flip” 2-in-one and tablet mode is great, the Windows 10-S has a free upgrade to Windows 10 Home which is super easy. There’s so many things to like about this laptop, the port issue is too bad, but I’m used to it now with the adapter. Hard to give a grade because of the scarcity of ports — but really, the performance in so many ways, and the fact it so incredibly thin and light, and other features makes this a really good deal once you work around the port issue with adapters.

    Great Value
I use this for checking emails and light web browsing. I upgraded the SSD to 250 GB (easy to do). It’s rock solid, has a decent display for the money. It’s definitely not a workhorse, but for $350, it’s not supposed to be. The touch screen isn’t bad, good for quick sketches, but I would not use it for detailed work.

    Upgrade SSD
Upgrade SSDI ran CPU-Z and this was the model it showed:J401MA aka TP401MASThe hard drive storage is upgradeable in this laptop. You will need to install Windows using a USB drive. It needs to be at least an 8GB flash drive. Download the media creation tool via Windows website and it will create a bootable Windows 10 install on a flash drive.Run the program and follow the prompts.Windows 10/64 bit is what you need. A clean install is always preferred, (don’t save anything from the current Windows that is on your laptop when you are creating the bootable flash drive) if not, you can just clone the old drive to the new drive and skip this process.Hook up the connector (link below) and the flash drive to the laptop. Power on, keep tapping the ”ESCAPE” (ESC) key and a boot menu will pop up. Click the flash drive, it should say windows setup or something like that. It will boot into W10 install mode. It is simple from then on. The main thing is you will get to a screen that will say how do you want to install Windows, either upgrade or custom.Choose custom.Once you click on it, you will see all the partitions the laptop has. Highlight them all and click delete. Once they are ALL deleted, it should say ”UNALLOCATED” for the new hard drive and also the old hard drive. Make sure both say ”UNALLOCATED” and choose the new hard drive and Windows 10 will be installed on it. We don’t want the install to be on the old hard drive. Click next and sit back and wait for Windows to finish. You can use the old drive as secondary storage. The old drive will need to be formatted via disk management in Windows. You can do this once Windows boots onto the desktop. That is it. I hope this helps. You will need this:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GGKYYT0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_yHl.FbKA62PMV?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1The SSD slot is a Sata III. The SSD needs to be a Sata III. This is what i used:Western Digital 1TB WD Blue 3D NAND Internal PC SSD – SATA III 6 Gb/s, M.2 2280, Up to 560 MB/s – WDS100T2B0B https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073SB2MXT/ref=cm_sw_r_u_apa_fabc_g-j4FbQ5YM07J?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

This is really helpful and affordable for me as a student. The features like 360 flip, fingerprint and touch screen can rarely be found after spending this much only.
