Linux works fine
I installed Kubuntu 22 in dual boot configuration with Windows. And everything just works.As for the battery drain issue that has been reported, it seems mine is not bad. I believe when the tablet is totally shut off, the battery has drained at most 8% in 24 hours. This seems to vary – one time it lost only 2% overnight. I’ve had this tablet only about a week, so I’m still figuring this out, but at least the drain has never been as extreme as some have experienced.I don’t use the touchscreen – my reason for wanting a tablet is so that I can look at a screen mounted well above the desk, close to eye level. I mounted the tablet on a desktop tablet arm, elevating it about a foot above the desk. Better for the neck – allows for reasonably good posture.Also, I like having a wireless keyboard and mouse that I can easily shove aside when I need the space.I’m using a 2.4 GHz wireless keyboard and mouse combo which communicates through a single USB dongle. Because it’s 2.4Ghz instead of bluetooth, I’m able to have a working keyboard during the boot sequence. The dongle is USB-A (not USB-C).So I bought a splitter cable: One end of the splitter cable is USB-C Male (plugs into the tablet). The split end of the splitter cable has a USB-C female socket (accepts the USB-C power cable), as well as a USB-A female socket (accepts the keyboard/mouse dongle). This setup means I occupy only one of the two USB-C ports on the tablet.I’m pleased to have a fully functioning Linux tablet of this size. This purchase has worked out very well for me.

Very slow! Windows 10 not compatible.
This is super slow computer. Programs and websites take a very long time to load. Clicks are slow to respond. Video and streaming is poor quality. It ships with Windows 10, but if ever upgraded to Windows 11 it will never be compatible with Windows 10 again, and drivers are not available for Windows 10.

Windows 10 and WIndows 11 Updates Failed
First the good news: this tablet was in truly excellent condition. No marks of any sort anywhere on the screen or its enclosure. The charger was a Dell branded high power USB-C type of charger. In routine usage using the Windows 10 version installed on the PC, the performance seemed quick and as expected with a reasonable Celeron processor and 8 GB of ram.Second the medium news: This is a thick and heavy tablet. The corners are square and the margins around the screen are thick. I compare this to the nearly same size Lenovo Chromebook Duet (10 inch) which is better in every way .. except it runs the ChromeOS (which I don’t like). Another down point is that I believe these units are likely around 3 years old .. kinda on the old side of PC technology.Third the bad news: The first few Windows 10 updates installed ok. The last Windows 10 update was a major one. It failed with a message that the PC seemed to be not working properly and initiated a full reset of the PC. After the reset I decided to go for the Widows 11 OS .. which I wanted anyway. In two tries the update got to 99% and stalled there for hours.Conclusion: There must be perhaps some hardware / driver issue preventing the update to finish. Life is too short to spend more time trying to track this issue down. I’m returning it for a refund.

Great Windows Tablet
It was well worth getting this tablet refurbished for $150 USD. I’ve used tablets with Intel atom processors in the past with 1/2 the memory (or less) and this N5030 flies in comparison. Even if it’s not incredibly fast, everything feels smooth and without jitters. I can play some older games like Diablo 3 after turning down the resolution/textures (custom at ~960×600) and it runs pretty smoothly (~30 fps). I ordered it for lightweight 3d games and it doesn’t disappoint. Much better than other tablets in this price bracket.The biggest downside is that there seems to be a battery drain issue even when the tablet is fully turned off (not sleeping). Apparently it’s a bios setting involving always on charging (which I’ve tried and had some success).

Perfecto para mi que tengo PC de escritorio de gran potencia en casa pero si requiero hacer algo de ofimatica fuera de la casa puedo hacerlo desde la tablet sin ningun problema, solo que tuve que comprar lapiz y teclado en otra pagina

AquÃ, después de mi personal reseña, abarco algunos problemas que experimenté y como los resolvÃ.La pantalla sin un solo rasguño ni muestras de desgaste alguno. Le busqué por todos lados y parece producto nuevo. Incluso la baterÃa me marcaba solo 1 ciclo de uso. Muy feliz con mi compra. La baterÃa le dura unas 6 horas de uso en promedio, dependiendo lo que se esté haciendo. El fin de semana la usé para maratón ese algunas series en streaming y le duró casi 8 horas antes que me saltara el letrero de baterÃa crÃtica y tuviera que volverla a cargar.Recomiendo cambiar el idioma de Windows a Español antes de comenzar a instalar apps para que se instalen en español las mismas. También recomiendo cambiar de Windows 10 S a Windows 10 home porque ofrece más funcionalidades. Y por último y la PRINCIPAL RECOMENDACIÃN: al no tener teclado, es súper necesario activar en la barra de tareas el icono que muestra el teclado táctil en pantalla cada que uno lo necesite. Uno pensarÃa que Windows deberÃa activar este icono en automático al detectar una pantalla touch, pero no lo hace. Es muy sencillo cambiar de Windows 10 modo S a Windows 10 home y es gratis, igualmente fue muy sencillo cambiar el idioma de Windows a Español. Hay muchos tutoriales de cómo hacer ambas cosas en YouTube.Mi tablet venÃa con una suscripción de un año del office 365, pero desconozco si todas lo incluyen. Al iniciar el word me marcó que tenÃa la suscripción y después de seguir el proceso para reclamar, me da un error al aplicar la suscripción pero en esa misma pantalla proporciona la clave de la propia suscripción y aparece un botón que abre el portal de Microsoft donde uno mismo puede hacer la aplicación de la misma directamente en su cuenta Microsoft hay que poner cuidado en âapagarâ la renovación automática al canjear la clave si uno no quiere que se cargue en automático la suscripción del año siguiente al vencerse el año gratuito.PROBLEMAS QUE TUVE:La baterÃa se descargaba mientras estaba completamente apagada (no suspendida), hasta un 15% durante la noche, busqué soluciones al problema en foros de la marca y es tan simple como utilizar el programa que viene incluido llamado âLenovo Vantageâ para actualizar el bios/uefi y luego hacer reinicio avanzado de Windows para poder entrar a la configuración del propio bios/uefi (también se puede buscar cómo hacer esto en tutoriales de YouTube) y seleccionar la opción de cargar los valores por defecto y luego la opción de salir guardando los cambios. Eso solucionó el problema. Cabe aclarar que la interfaz del bios/uefi es touch, por lo que no hay problema para hacer este procedimiento.También esa misma app de âLenovo Vantageâ permite actualizar los drivers.NOTAS DE WINDOWS 11:Leà en varios foros que no hay que apresurar la actualización de Windows 11 para evitar problemas con esta tablet. Después de instalar todas las actualizaciones de Windows 10, solo hay que instalar una app de Microsoft que se llama âPC Health Checkâ y correrla para que indique que es compatible el sistema y después de algunas horas (o dÃas) la tablet avisa en las actualizaciones que Windows 11 está listo para descargar (pero es totalmente opcional).Luego de instalar Windows 11, la app de Lenovo Vantage tiene que ser desinstalado y reinstalada desde la tienda de apps, ya que son versiones diferentes para Windows 10 y Windows 11. Luego hay que buscar en esa misma app las actualizaciones de drivers para Windows 11. Finalmente hay que volver a hacer reinicio avanzado para entrar al bios/uefi y de nuevo seleccionar cargar los valores por defecto porque vuelve el problema de descarga de la baterÃa estando apagada. Pienso que es por la reinstalación de la app de Lenovo Vantage, que tiene capacidad de modificar opciones del bios/uefi.Después de eso, en mi experiencia particular, la tablet funciona mejor y mas fluida con Windows 11. La baterÃa le dura más después de seguir las ârecomendaciones de energÃaâ de Windows 11 en la sección de âEnergÃa y BaterÃaâ de la configuración.Tal vez todo esto suene un tanto complicado si no eres usuario avanzado, pero una vez que terminas con todo esto, tienes una tablet con Windows muy funcional (y te podrás considerar usuario avanzado, Jeje).

Es muy buen producto, la tablet viene en excelentes condiciones. Solo hay que considerar que hay que hacer algunos ajustes primero de configuración , como actualizar las BIOS y sistema operativo. Para la BIOS solo basta que te metas a la pagina de lenovo y busques el modelo.Fuera de eso, es una excelente compra , si buscas una tables con Windows , no hallaras otra con mejor precio.

ContrasEstuve a punto a de regresar el equipo, los puertos USB no funcionaban y por ende no podÃa cargar el equipo. Tuve que hacer algunos artilugios para cambiar los controladores, lo cual fue una odisea porque no tenÃa un mouse Bluetooth y no detectaba nada en los puertos micro sd. El sistema operativo viene en inglés, es Windows 10 Home s mode, hay que liberarlo en la tienda.Pros.Habiendo hecho todo lo anterior, está súper bien el equipo, tiene protocolo HDMI y Display Port los puertos USB tipo C. Un plus extra es que el equipo trae una ranura para expandir la memoria y también para una tarjeta SIM he probado con Telcel y Movistar y detecta la SIM en ambas compañÃas. Asà que si estás trabajando remotamente o sales de viaje es ideal. Y la tablet está bien en términos generales, hago campañas de marketing y para revisar correos, manejar toda la suite de Google Docs, ver videos, navegar en internet el equipo va sobrado.Si estas dispuesto a batallar desinstalado e instalando controladores y haciendo algunos ajustes, es un gran equipo y una ganga para lo que cuesta.Si prefieres algo solo para sacar de si caja, despreocúpate y trabajar, este equipo no es para ti.Por eso le doy 4 estrellas.

Buena tablet PC, es rápida si no se le es exigente, está en excelentes condiciones, considerar que no es una tablet común y corriente, es una PC en tamaño reducido, ejecuta windows, programas de windows, la experiencia de una PC en la mano, no es para niños ni para cargarle juegos… recomendable para usuarios que requieran de ultra movilidad, potencia baja, pero fluidez.Muy recomendable.
