Worked well
I decided to save a couple hundred and buy refurbished. It works well. The case was a little dinged up on the back (and I had to “adjust” it with pliers to get the hdmi cable to go in to the graphics card properly, but, well, it was cheaper than new…

Defective
One of the USB ports was defective. I called a surfer support and they’re like well you’ll have to mail it off and it will take about 4 weeks for you to get another one.. God bless Amazon for their return policy.

Very nice lower-end gaming PC
I bought this for my wife, who plays Sims4. It works great for that. I built her previous two gaming computers and was going to do the same this time. But after I added up the cost of the parts I was going to buy, it made more sense to get this with essentially the same components I was going to use. Even after adding another 8GB RAM to get up to my specs, it still cost less than building one myself. And the Black Friday deal I found made it much less. Ideally, Acer would include a pair of 8GB RAM sticks, but that’s the easiest and cheapest thing to add for improved performance. Even before adding that, it works great for Sims. I was a bit concerned about the design of the case being not so great for ventilation, but temps have been fine.If you are planning to play something that’s more of a resource hog, you might have problems, but Sims doesn’t need all that much. For what it is, this is a nice PC.

Network Card Issues or some other problem
The internet on this PC is horrible, seems like the NIC or something else is wrong. Even when connected directly to the router it frequently buffers, and kicks out of online games. The previous computer using the same ethernet cable and router worked just fine and it’s super old. This Acer model is not worth the trouble.

I don’t want to flame this computer but I had nothing but issues right from startup. Lag, connectiviy issues, conflicts. That’s after updating all drivers and troubleshooting a dozen different ways.I’d read some of the negative reviews and thought I can work past that… Ya I was wrong. Dont waste your money on this one. She’s a boat anchor ð
