Its a good product, i got what i payed for
i replaced it with my phenom 840 and it made a noticeable difference and for the price i paid for it i can’t complain, it took a lot longer than it said it would be although considering its shipping from china i expect nothing less, anyways its a very good product i recommend

It works
Unfortunately I don’t understand what happened with this CPU. It is somehow bigger than my previous CPU, while still being just as slow! I’m not overjoyed, but at least it works with my computer.

The Phenom II still has a lot to offer
While I can’t recommend this CPU for a new build, because newer games are using an SSE 4 standard unsupported by the processor, I will say that it still WOULD run any game now and in the future if not for that limitation. It can handle any game prior to 2020.

New life for a desktop
This 965be (deneb) chip may be yesterdays tech but it still cuts it. Instead of a whole new system I decide to add new life to the one I have. This chip did just that, from 5.9 to 7.4 (windows experience). The whole system built for htpc & mild gaming is noticeably much more responsive. I’ve never been much of an overclocker but a quick change in the bios multiplier gave me an easy stable 3.8 ghz on a Gigabyte board with ddr2. Paid a little more then I wanted to for the chip but it’s new, a warranty and was able to purchase through amazon. As always the proper application of thermal paste is required. CpuID is an excellent app to ID & check your chip & system memory.
