Great laptop!!!
Hey! I’m now ready for my review.Bought this laptop recently but wanted to write something of substance, so I waited until I had a chance to take it for a few spins!Overall, a great laptop for the money. Wish I had paid less because I’m on a budget but otherwise, great. I was a bit hesitant to buy a laptop since I’m on a tight budget but I decided to take the leap/plunge.Setup was easy. After setting up, I put it through its rounds. I found the Ryzen 5 CPU from AMD to be quite zippy. The overall specs of this laptop are great! Great memory! Great CPU, great SSD size, touchscreen, backlit keyboard (for those who had a problem with theirs – if you still do, press F4 to turn on your backlight. It’s there. I had to do it too as I was first disappointed that it wasn’t showing any light. Try it, it works! So back to this – screen size 17inch, perfect. This computer boots up in about 20 seconds – you heard me! From I pressed the power button to the time it takes to get to the login screen – 20 seconds. My previous 7 year old laptop took way longer! (too embarrassed to mention how long it actually took – lol). It even takes less time to shut down. Programs load fast, Norton runs and reacts quickly! So far, no issues…really! If I had to nitpick, I wish I had more ports – especially USB ports.I also must mention that there was a missing accessory from the box. I contacted the seller through Amazon and Teresa, Carrie, and Jenna promptly got back to me and shipped the missing item – Awesome! So, I’m glad I bought this laptop. I needed a new one very badly. It solves many issues that I had surrounding work/home digital data processing. So if you are thinking about buying one of these, I would say, “pull the trigger!”, “take the plunge!” or leap! Get that laptop! I believe you won’t regret it.Hope this helps! :)UPDATE: The printed keyboard symbol on the F4 key indicates that the laptop/computer has a keyboard backlight feature that can be enabled/disabled by toggling the F4 key. If no symbol is present, it may indicate the feature is not a part of the computer. If this is the case, you can then decide if you wish to contact the seller about it or not – depending on how important the feature is to you. You may contact the seller by selecting your order from the Orders screen, selecting or tapping the link “view your item”, then selecting “Contact seller” from the list. It looks like this:Need help with your item?Contact sellerGet product supportRequest refundHope this helps :)UPDATE: You may also contact the seller by going through the Amazon Message Center. This can be accessed by going to your Account Profile (Web/App), then selecting Your Messages located under the Message Center tab. 🙂

Awesome
I received my new Hp 17 inch laptop about a week or so ago and it works great so far. It is very fast in the booting up and it was very easy to set up. It has a back-lit keyboard and it is touch screen and very responsive. The screen is satisfactory i would say, not the sharpest resolution but you get what you pay for. Watching movies on it is great. No problems that I can see as yet so I would definitely recommend it to anyone as I am very pleased with my purchase.

Nice enough
The reason I removed one star from the rating is contrary to the description this does NOT have a backlit keyboard. This was the reason I bought this laptop over a different one. I looked online to see how to light up the keyboard, tried everything I found, only to discover that none of it worked, as the laptop was not set up for the keyboard to light up. I then purchased a backlit keyboard that plugs in, and this solved the problem. Now in saying all of the above, this is a nice computer and I like it. The larger screen size on it is very nice. The sound is very very good. The pictures on the screen are nice and clear. The keyboard is responsive. Overall this seems to be a very good computer. I have now had the computer for several months. I waited to review it until I had used the computer for a bit and not write a review immediate;y.

Unusable–cursor jumps all over the screen and no fix available
This is the 9th HP Laptop I bought. Each year, they get worse. I bought 1 2 years ago, but the vase where the hinges are broke and made it impossible to open the screen where it would be useable. This computer seemed good but after trying to use it, I found it not useable, The cursor just jumps around the screen-3 letters and it jumps to all sorts of spots on the screen. I was told there is no fix to this. One tech person told me to turn off the touch pad and use a mouse which did not work for me. I tried Microsoft and they had no suggestions. To write this review is a chore due to the jumping cursor every 3 or 4 letters. Complete junk and I will have to buy another brand even though this is new–a paper weight. I will remove the Ram and HD, but the touch screen cannot be transferred. Useless!!!!!

Great Laptop
This is a great laptop. It’s fast, the screen is crisp and clear, it has tons of memory, the screen is also nice and big and love that the keyboard lights up. Haven’t really used the touch screen too much, just not used to having that bonus feature but it does work great. My only issue is that when I’m typing the cursor will randomly move to a different spot and will end up messing up what I’m typing, that is a bit frustrating. Other than that good laptop.

sub par monitor
good performance and storage for the price rangethe monitor is very disappointing, photos look unnatural and the screen has to be at just the right angle

Fast, Fast, Fast
I have been organizing a family reunion for 150 family members for the last several months and doing a lot of work on my old hp with an i3 processor. It was taking me forever, especially when I was trying to design anything using graphics. And it was impossible to have multiple apps open. Now those days are gone! My hp 2023 has a wonderful size screen for these old eyes of mine and I now have a Ryzen i5 processor. Everything is fast. A simple spreadsheet now takes me 10 mins to set up versus at least an hour on my old laptop … my fault, it was a good one at one time; i just waited too long to replace it. HP will not disappoint you. This one is definitely worth every penny.

Laptop and seller both top notch.
This laptop is great and nothing beats a large screen. It was easy to set up and has more than I need. The touchscreen is crisp and bright and has perfect sensitivity, it’s like using a big phone. The seller is great and got it here quicker than expected. My mousepad was accidentally left out and they refunded me probably more than one is worth no problem. Not just no complaints but an enjoyable experience. Thanks again!
