amazing value, really decent chromebook
My daughter dropped her macbook in a fit of teenage stupidity, so i got her this chromebook to finish out the year. Initially she was very upset – until she saw and used the machine. It’s actually extemely nice – he one we got was basically new and unscratched – i can only imagine they allocate these to schools but return ones that are never used by students.The form factor is great – you can fold it into essentially a tablet. for such a low price it’s quite astonishing. It’s fast enough too – i watched some youtube videos on it and they loaded sub-second, i played around with a few online apps like google docs and it’s very responsive. it’s also close in size to my daughter’s macbook air – maybe slightly thicker but not by much.All in all i’m extremely happy with it. It solved the problem of ending out the school year without a computer, in an actually very nice way.

Best internet browser for the money… I got this one for my wife and she loves it.Fast very sharp and responsive screen. Light to carry and best of all my wife doesn’t need my laptop anymore.

Very long review in 3.. 2..Apple fan, Windows hater here needing a laptop that was portable and able to handle online coursework, note taking, and personal use (emails, web browsing). I decided to further research and invest in a Chromebook as I have had exposure to it in the past and from the small amount of usage I felt it might work for what I needed. So glad I purchased!I was initially weary about ordering as it’s a recertified item. I have heard horror stories about items as such, but felt a glimmer of confidence in Amazon and their ability to send quality items so I pulled the plug. At first look I appreciated how well packaged and cared for the laptop was. There was some smudging that I was able to wipe off and two barely visible hairline scratches, but nothing at all enough to warrant return or to affect its performance.Then I feel a bit doomed.. it wouldn’t turn on. Not even upon plugging in the charger would the indicator light on the power switch come on. I instantly thought “here we go”, but something told me to just leave it plugged in for a bit; maybe it’s been without power for a while? After 30 mins, nothing still. I tried different outlets, changed the power cord from one USB outlet to the other.. nothing. At about 45 mins in I tried the charger on my phone to make sure the charger itself wasn’t the culprit and it powered my iPhone right up. I google everything and thankfully I did, as I came across a Reddit post suggesting leaving the charger plugged in and pressing + holding the power button for 30 secs to “reboot” the laptop. IT WORKED! The power button light up orange, then blue. The screen came up shortly after requesting I start the setup process.I got through the instructions then made sure to download any updates before going at use full-force. I have been using my laptop since. There hasn’t been any glitching, no lagging. It’s smooth despite having a ton of apps and tabs open. All of my Google data came through without issue. Overall, this is a GREAT BUY!

Love this laptop. It does run slightly slow but it’s a refurbished laptop. It has a fast charge, the touch screen makes it so easy to use and I do enjoy the quality of the laptop. Would definitely buy it again.

Renewed Chromebook?
I’m not sure if there’s a problem with the Acer Chromebook in general, or it’s because this one is a Refurb- We’ve had several Chromebooks, so I’m guessing this is because it is “renewed’ yet still broken. I purchased this for my sister who lives in another city, I’m a bit grumpy that she waited until after the return window closed to start complaining about the problems with this Chromebook. She’s not tech savvy and I guess she thought it was user error, but she brought it along on a visit and this Acer Chromebook is not great, had trouble connecting to wifi and performing updates, but I did get it to work, so I witnessed the issues with it personally- She went home with it and she says it’s asking her to sign in every time she uses it so I know that’s not right- just tons of problems with this one- I purchased a Pixelbook for her previously, and it worked for quite some time… I’m not sure if it is actually dead or she thinks it’s dead, but that was a quality Chromebook – this one, we really did get what we paid for…

Great refurbished. It was completely dead, so give it some time to turn on. Very smooth, fast and efficient for work and daily streaming. Give refurbished a try, its in excellent condition!

Acer is becoming to me a reliable brand
After 2 yrs, I still love it. I’m still finding new features. It’s a really versatile piece of equip. I was skeptical of the “Chromebook” but I use Google Chrome so I love it. But you can use any search engine you can download.
