A must have for the Asus Transformer Prime tablet or any Android device, even running ICS …
The book arrived promptly, it was very recently written just a month ago so it covers everything android from start to ICS(ice cream sandwich) and is incredibly thorough. Without question it is the best item I have purchased to get me going with my Transformer Prime, which for me was my first device using an android os. The book really does cover it all and in doing so of course it touches on a few topics that don’t apply to me but that is what happens when attempting to cover so much information. It is easy to find subjects and instructions and once found it is an easy read. As for content the book gets an A+ but unfortunately there is one problem and as it comes from Amazon I had no way to provide feedback to the “seller.” These books are evidently printed upon order placement and when they printed mine they didn’t have the GLUE MACHINE set right and nobody checked the book e.g. QUALITY CONTROL. The pages were falling out of the book as they were only partially glued to the spine. Luckily I had a long thing injector tube from a project years ago and was able to reset the pages and glue them securely to the spine so all is well now. Regardless it was very frustrating that I am able to provide seller feedback on all other items purchased from outside vendors but not Amazon so unless someone reads this full review the issue would not be known. That said I still think for owners of any android phone, tablet, not just the Asus TF201, this is the absolute best book to get you going that I have found to date.

    Good Android Tablet Book
Its useful and very helpful for first time android tablet users. However, I deducted a star because it can sometimes be hard to find topics when used as a reference guide.

A lot covered, but itjust barely scratches the surface.
We people using Android devices for the first time are literally lost from all our years doing DOS and the ever changing, never REALLY better, and always confusion loaded “changes” in Windows designed to fill the coffers of Microsoft. I am almost ready to abandon Windows if I learn to understand Android fully! A tall job for a senior citizen who experienced the “era” of REAL help from Microsoft, now abandoned by the Gates bunch for more bucks for their ‘corporation”.Android seems to have advantages over Windows, but the learning curve seems steep.

    Dissapointing.
Ten thousand words to explain what is readily apparent, and almost nothing about making your tablet do what is not readily apparent. Once you fully master this book, you still won’t have the tablet capability that will satisfy you — unless all you want it for is to read eBooks and read and send email.I don’t know if there is a better book out there, but I do know that a less expensive, and less wordy way to become good on your Android tablet is to Google any questions you have. You’ll get to your goal of being a competent tablet user a lot less laboriously.

Yes It Does Make Your Android Simple
Contains very helpful information for those of us not overly savy on new technology. There were some things on my Droid that I could not find the answers to and this book solved that problem. My Nexus 7 is now with me constantly due to the helpful notes and solutions in this book. My daughter also borrowed it to help with her Samsung Galaxy Tab 1 and was pleased with the data provided to aid in better use of the Tablet.

A Tablet need not be hard to swallow!
It really does take one through the basics, from unlocking to open the tablet to how to access games. It is as comprehensive as I should wish it to be and explains procedures so that anyone can follow.

    Android Tables Made Simple
As a totally novice user, I needed all the help I could get. This book was a great start. I bought the hardback and the Kindle edition, which gave me versatility. I would recommend it.

Done for an outdated OS version
It is too old for any modern tablet using Android. If I had know that before I got it I would have passed on it. Today it is a useless book. Technology passed by it several versions of Android ago.

It is a fantastic book, explains everything clearly, have not gotten round to actually putting it into practice but I am sure it will help enormously. And I did not know Marziah is a female so I was extra pleased about that.

Usefull informations and insights on Android OS in general. A bit short on explaining Galaxy Tab-10 various menus. One speed reading was enough.
