Perfect for me!
Anker has a wonderful reputation of making good high quality products and Iâve gotten multiple of their cords and their charging banks with great experiences, and this is no different. Itâs slim, generally light weight, feels great in the hands, good side, and comes with the bonus feature of a built in kick stand that reminds me of my iPad cases. The magnets are strong and the MagSafe is very good, especially with a case on your phone that also has added MagSafe magnets. The indicators on the side near the button are nicely lit and clear and I find I can get about a full charge and a half out of the battery. It does make the iPhone very warm, but MagSafe is generally that way since inductive charging isnât as efficient, so itâs definitely a give and take there. Speed isnât the best, but itâs not the worst either. Itâll keep your phone alive. Generally, Iâd suggest using this when not using your phone. Also, if itâs in a pocket charging your phone, itâll make the phone overheat very fast, so be aware. I definitely recommend getting this battery bank. Itâs reliable and has given me a very good experience overall.

Our favorite grab and go charger on trips
We recently purchased the Anker Power Bank, and it’s been our go to charger on vacations and trips being used extensively. The power bank’s performance is impressive, as it charges well and is extremely useful maintaining solid charge for many devices throughout the day. It’s compact, making it easy to carry around in pockets on trips, and the kickstand is a handy feature. However, it can occasionally get slightly warm with prolonged use especially outdoors but it is very mild and not overall noticeable. It’s a solid choice for those looking for a reliable portable charger with some great features including ease of transport, extended use over the day, and in need of the added benefit of magnetic grip. It’s a definitely purchase for us and our favorite charger in our ever growing need for quick charging devices.Pros:- Efficient charging performance- Compact and portable design- Handy kickstand feature- Magnetic grip and storageCons:- Can get get very slightly warm during prolonged charging in warm outdoor temperatures or in tight areas without much airflow such as pockets over a long period of time.

UPDATE: Anker reached out to me and sent me a new charger. After spending some time with it, it was obvious that the previous charger was very much a lemon. My biggest issue was that it wouldnât hold a charge when being stored. The new charger maintains its charge to where Iâm comfortable about not worrying about it in an emergency. And I am able to fully charge my phone with it now. The magnetic hold is still just okay and it still gets a little too warm when charging the phone, imo, but I can deal with that. I appreciate the customer service that Anker provided.ORIGINAL REVIEW: When it comes to charging my electronic devices, Anker is my go to brand. Iâve bought and used various products over the years with 100% satisfaction, but this one was less than stellar.It looks nice, itâs not too heavy, the fold out kickstand is a great addition. Like other reviews mentioned, the magnet isnât that strong and it gets hot when charging the phone. I have not been able to get a full phone charge out of it. And the charger doesnât stay charged. After I use it, I charge it back up and put it away. When I pull it out, and Iâm talking just a few days later, itâs dead. If my power goes out, I canât count on the power pack to be working.Maybe I have a defective pack. But because of its performance, I donât recommend this product. Love the redesign!
I had the previous version of this, where the charging cable was at the bottom, so you couldn’t charge it with the phone on while it was on the stand. That was the worst part of that charger, it was annoying, but I loved that it had a strong magnet and worked well. So even when it got wet from me dropping the bag it was in in the ocean, and the charger wasn’t working great anymore, I was on the lookout for the same one. Thankfully they redesigned the new one so the charging port is on the side, and now I can charge the batter bank, while using it as a stand for my phone. It’s extremely useful and I’ll even be able to get rid of my phone stand at work (which was just a phone stand, with no charging capabilities). The MagGo also charges my MagSafe capable AirPods Pro case, so It works on multiple levels. There are only 2 things that are not great. First, that it doesn’t give my iPhone 12 Pro Max a full charge, but honestly to me it’s just a way to give it some extra battery life since I’m notoriously forgetful about charging my phone… The second is that like others here, i wish the kickstand was just a bit more stable. The magnet on that side isn’t very strong. If you’re just going to use it as a stand, or not touch it while you’re watching something, it’s totally fine, but it doesn’t take much to collapse it. Their 633 model has a better kickstand it seems, but I think it sacrifices the clean look of this model, so I guess it just matters what you care about. I still give this full stars overall because it’s exactly what I was looking for, works as intended, and they fixed the previous issue. If I ever accidentally submerge this in the ocean also, I will probably get it again (maybe next update will be to make it more waterproof?).
