    Excellent design
I use this case for a workstation with 9 storage drives, and I encountered many thoughtful features when building in this case:1) Drive cages – The drive cages in the front of the case are oriented such that drives end up with their connectors accessible from the right side of the case. This leaves an pleasantly short and direct path to route SATA power cables from the PSU and SATA data cables from the motherboard. Furthermore, you don’t have to worry about anything in the main compartment of the case (the section that houses the motherboard, which is behind the drive cages) interfering with swapping hard drives in and out).2) Drive trays – It is very simple to install 3.5in drives into the toolless drive trays. The flexible trays have plastic pins on the inner sides that plug into the screw holes of the drive to secure it in place. 2.5in drives sit flush once they are screwed in from holes in the bottom of the tray. The tray’s holes are the perfect distance apart, so it is easy to align the drive’s screw holes with the tray’s holes.3) Motherboard tray 2.5in mounts – Two removeable foam-padded 2.5in drive trays slide onto rubber mounts behind the motherboard tray for easy installation.4) Rear-inserted power supply – Being able to remove and insert the power supply from the rear of the case allowed me to simply slide the power supply out to connect an additional power cable when I added more drives to the case.5) Power supply shroud cable cutouts – This case has many cutouts for cable management. In particular, it has cutouts near the bottom of the motherboard tray and cutouts on the top of the PSU shroud that make it easy to route cables to the graphics card and lower motherboard connectors.6) Fans and fan controller – The case conveniently comes with all of its fan slots fully populated, so I do not have to buy and install additional fans. Furthermore, they come connected to a series of molex connectors that lead to a fanspeed controller at the front of the case. All you have to do to power the fans is connect the case’s assembly of fan wires to two molex connectors from your PSU.7) Socketed side panels – The side panels are attached to the case by hooking the front ends into slots near the front of the case and popping the rear ends into ball sockets (I don’t know the name for such a fastener) near the back of the case. This makes it easy to properly align the side panels with the case when installing them, and it also leaves the side panels flush with the case even without fastening the thumb screws in the rear of the case.8) Included port plugs – The case comes with silicone (or rubber?) plugs for the front IO ports located on top of the case. Dust and particles really do accumulate in unprotected upward-facing ports over time, so I find it convenient that I do not have to purchase a separate set of plugs.9) Reversible front hinge – You can change the direction the front panel swings open for your convenience.10) Noise dampening – both side panels and the front panel are padded with foam. Furthermore, the top of the case has no fan mounts or other openings and is completely lined with foam. This makes my computer very quiet, even when FFmpeg has each of its 22 hyperthreaded cores are under full load.11) Manufacturing tolerance – I am convinced that this case is manufactured under very tight manufacturing tolerance. When I slotted my graphics card into my motherboard, the holes in my card’s PCIe bracket aligned perfectly with the PCIe mounting holes in the back of the case. Furthermore, the mounting holes in all the drive trays are just the right size for screws to fit snugly, making it easy to align a drive’s mounting holes with the tray.My list of appreciations is already long, but there are so many more minor things I like about this case, like the visual aesthetics, bottom clearance, and fine fan filters. I haven’t discovered anything I don’t like about this case, but I hope my review helps you know what kind of building experience to expect from this case. I look forward to this case becoming popular and influencing the design of quiet home workstation cases in the future.

(With apologies to Stephen King) this case proved bigger than I expected. It’s a full 22cm (almost 9″). runs some 43cm (17″ – plus space req’d for cords & plugs), and stands a full 48cm (46cm case, with 4-corner “feet” adding 2cm clearance – 19″ tall). The attached cords (power button, fans, etc) are clearly labelled, but the instruction foldout of diagrams is a bit light on detail. All & extra screws & accessories were (including spare motherboard mounts & screws). While not fancy, the construction is solid, with discrete bays for power supply, hard drives, and the DVD drive. To be honest, the latter was my main reason for this purchase. Space for an internal CD/DVD drive seems to have become rare or obsolete in modern cases – and wanting one left me roughly 3 choices. This one looked best to me, and I’m quite happy with it (also cost less here than at Newegg). One last thing: the side panels both come off (easily), but the top-front power button & ports means no need to have to pop the front panel off – another plus in my book. I’m quite happy with my new giant, black tower !
