    So far so good.
Description is confused. It is in fact a quad core 1.10GHz with 2.5GHz ‘burst’ capabilities.—Update 2.5 Weeks—I was a little nervous jumping on a new model but it has turned out to be a very good Chromebook.1. Running Playstore apps with no problems except for a few apps not designed for Chrome OS but almost all apps I wanted work perfectly.2. Running Linux mode was easy and the Linux Software store/app works great with the exception that there are many apps that do not function under Chrome OS but that’s Linux/Chrome issues and not the Chromebook itself.3. Battery time is sufficient but nowhere as good as some models. All in all a great deal with good specs with a very nice screen although it’s not quite the color depth and clarity I expected for the screen resolution but still very usable in spite of streaming services like Netflix not having the full quality of other devices but again not a deal breaker. If you want a good Chromebook for a price that is equivalent or better for the total specs then this is a great buy.

    Excellent, Portable No-Frills Laptop
For the price, compared to other laptops this is a remarkable value. Clear and reasonably bright full HD screen; responsive touch screen; decent keyboard; boots up in seconds. Other reviewers complain that the colors are “washed out,” but that’s not really the issue. That is caused by the color temperature, which by default is set to a yellowish hue–if you change that to a cooler hue in Device Settings, colors are truer. Sound is thin, but pretty loud for a laptop in this price range. Very light, just three pounds, for a 15.6-inch laptop, easy to carry. Battery life is decent, with Bluetooth turned off. Attractive exterior, good build quality, looks more expensive than it is. As you’d expect at this price, there are some compromises: few ports for connections, the only viewing angle is straight on, and the 1.1 Ghz processor isn’t best for high-data streaming applications. This is a Web portal machine, nothing more or less, but a very good one for 90 percent of what you can do on the Web. Because it is cheap and so simple to use, this is a great machine for older less computer savvy persons, and for elementary and middle school students who use Google Docs for class assignments.

Great Chromebook for Everyday Tasks and Fun
We were tired of using a Windows computer for simple tasks that bogs down into a slow crawl after awhile, that is overly complicated, requires an antivirus program, and needs never-ending updates and complicated software. Well, the Chromebook solved all these problems and just did its job faithfully.Granted a Chromebook won’t run business programs or TurboTax (except the mobile version), or fancy photography programs, it does enough for the average Joe who shops online or uses Facebook. But it’s fast! Everything is in the cloud, not slowing your computer down. Nice selection of software — a lot of it free — on the Play Store. The operating system and virus checker is kept up to date in the cloud. Your work is backed up too! This attractive model has a good sized touch screen with good resolution in a lightweight package. Even comes with a wired mouse. Connect a Bluetooth or wireless mouse, if you like.I still have my Windows computers for more advanced software programs, but this is a handy laptop for many everyday things for an occasional user, student, or retiree, Facebook junkies or avid shoppers would love it. And, a lot of others.Negatives include an unlit keyboard, mediocre sound, and reduced clarity of screen at various angles.

    Great Laptop at affordable price
I had been in the market for a couple months for the right laptop and finally decided on this one. I wasn’t really sure how I would like it – I’ve never had a Chromebook but have used Android phones for awhile. It took a little bit to get used to… as the name denotes, everything runs through Chrome. It is intended to have an internet connection and you work through that. All that said, I’m very happy with my purchase! I read some reviews that the monitor was washed out (it’s not on mine); the battery life was low (haven’t experienced that yet) and that the sound is crappy (it’s a laptop speaker). What I really like is the massive screen which gives more than enough room to work, the response keyboard which makes typing a breeze and the touch screen which makes it easy to activate something rather than waiting for the mouse to drag all the way over.If you are shopping for a new laptop – this should be a top contender!

    Worst Screen Resolution
I have used ASUS before and loved it. Not sure if the specific unit I received is sub par or this version of their Chrome book has a defect The screen quality is so terrible that the print on the screen is not crisp. The brighteness of the screen is so terrible that I cannot distingush colors when I am using excelsheet . I have to tilt my screen at an angle to make the font clear and this angle is very uncomfortable to work with. The mouse I received with the laptop does not work. I bought a different . When i plug in the mouse in the USB port it does not sit snug in the port. If the wire is slightly touched then it stops working and I have wiggle the wire a little for it starting working again, Its been one of the worst laptops I have ever owned !!!! I never take the time to write a review but this laptop totally warrants a review.
