Very capable as a desktop machine
This little thing really worked out well as a replacement for my laptop that was bogging driving a few monitors. The Beelink has no trouble at all, even with the super wide 4K monitor.Smooth and easily able to handle several browser instances with many open tabs. I have never even heard the fan spin up (it is working, just very low and quietly). Nothing I have done in my workflow (which used to cause the Dell engineering-grade laptop to run its fans at full-bore constantly) seems to cause it the least bit of strain or heating issues. Can highly recommend.

Running my photo booth
Bought this and a touch screen monitor to replace a MS Surface in my Photo Booth and I am thrilled. I tried a couple of intel mini computers and they lagged with the graphics. This runs photoshop, Lightroom and my Photo Booth software and does it very well. Planning on getting at least 1 more.

fast, easy to install
Very easy to install and launch. The increase in speed and responsiveness over my old laptop is remarkable. Also the wifi internet speed has increased by 3x. Installing the mini on the back of my monitor has really cleaned up my desktop. Computer is used for web access, streaming and office duties. Have not used for gaming. Fan noise is imperceptible and computer does not run hot. I appreciate the low wattage power consumption.

(update: bad mobo) ser5 crashes bad on Windows, crashes some on Linux; known problem.
update: my friend upgraded the bios and cleaned the metal pins/contacts on the ram, and he thinks the problem might’ve just been dirty contact pins on the ram.update 2: the motherboard has some kind of hardware problem, and it’s a known problem that some of their motherboards are bad. My friend said he loves how powerful it (the 5700u miniPC) is but hates that it crashes bad.Title. ser5 crashes bad on Windows, crashes some on Linux, and it’s a known problem.I had it sitting in the original packaging for a while because I ended up buying 3 different miniPC’s, and didn’t need all 3 at the same time.My friend was telling me he needed to get a new computer or get his handheld gaming PC thing fixed, and I offered to let him use my miniPC that I had lying around still new in the package not being used, and of course he took me up on it.Then he had major bad problems with it crashing on Windows, then he tried Linux and it still crashed a few times but was much better (and at some point he might’ve upgraded the bios, but not sure).he looked it up and it’s a known problem with lots of ser5 boardsgood thing I didn’t let it sit around for a whole year when the warranty would’ve been over.

Not setup with windows 11 yet
First is I got a weird screen when I booted it up. No Apps were installed. I hunted around for a product key so I could install Windows 11 PRo and found that windows was not even activated yet and had no product key. Looks like some test environment they use but the system was never setup for customer usage and no product key was provided. Will see how it preforms once I correct this oversight and ask Support for a product key. Customer support Corrected the issue. It is a nice little machine. Fells fast enough, and no issues running 11 Pro. The WIFI signal is good for the internal antennas. Will update when I have played with it more.
