Bitdefender is the best
Bitdefender has literally saved my windows installation a few times. It notices right away when I’m missing important updates. Sometime bitdefender can install the missing updates. Sometimes I have to do the whole command prompt SFC, DISM stuff. Which is totally fine, bitdefender basically is indirectly able to tell me if my windows image or installation is corrupt. Which is a really nice indirect feature.It takes very little resources. the license is able to be used on Windows, Android, iOS.

Useless
This product is completely useless. If you like seeing spinning icons, get it, if you want something that works, move on.Ever since about few months or so ago it became very finicky and unreliable. When trying to connect, you can end up in one of the five states:1. It tries to connect but fails (most often)2. It connects but there is no IP address3. It connects but very quickly disconnects4. It connects.Latest development, it took an update today (10/24/24) (speed and security improvement, LOL) and…it stopped working completely. When trying to connect it just sits there and times out.As a bonus if you try to reconnect one or two more times, it will take your internet connection down and will require reboot to get it back.”Support” is useless, they will try you to go thru the hoops messing with your perfectly working internet connection, when the fault is obviously in their poor software.Don’t get taken and waste your time trying to repair your working connection, no ipconfig /release will do nothing, no rebooting is not the answer, no opening port 443 is not necessary, no I do not have any other vpn or firewall, no… to whatever is their other suggestion.Not sure who tests it and what quality control they have, but apparently it’s not existent.Save yourself money and trouble and DO NOT give them your money. AVOID.

I have this installed on my devices. Bitdefender (often?) runs discounts on 1 year subscriptions on their web site, and the half off discount for 1 year Premium VPN I bought there worked as a renewal.

Better VPN’s out there, price is OK
I’ve tried several VPN’s over the year because I hate ISP and “big brother” tracking you. I had Norton, which was part of 360 and better, but they raised the price tremendously. I had McAffee which was worse. Firefox VPN, Nord and the other paid VPN’s are better than the aforementioned 3 but cost more. Bitdefender suffers from the same thing as McAfee…They start to recognize the servers that you use and still give you targeted ads and the servers get slow, especially if you leave them on. The biggest thing I hate about BitDefender is the constant Upsell and push messages on Android they feel obligated to send you (Just like Norton). For the price it’s worth it for “non classified home use” but it’s a cost-effective middle of the road product and not a high quality VPN.
