Incredible quality and comfort
I was torn between these and the Bose QC Ultras, but I’m really satisfied with my choice and am super impressed with the comfort and sound quality. I’m not an audiophile by any means, but they are my first higher quality pair of headphones, and I could immediately tell a difference in sound and was surprised at how much I was missing from music with my cheaper headphones. The noise canceling also works super well, and I love that I can toggle it on and off. I also really appreciate that they use buttons instead of touch control since it feels more reliable and easier to use. They connected to my phone’s bluetooth easily, and they stay connected perfectly fine. As for comfort, they fit really well on me, not too loose or too tight on my head, and I could wear them all day. I even wore them in bed without any discomfort and almost fell asleep with them on. The headphones are also just gorgeously designed and the forest green color is even prettier in person than in photos. The cushions are cozy on the ears and the headset has a nice weight to it that just feels good to hold and wear. I think that the app could use some improvements such as more customization and fixing issues with connecting to streaming accounts, but overall, I think these are well worth the investment if you’re on the fence about them!

Read on and you’ll understand why I reviewed it this way…. My goal was to find the best sounding wireless headphones that were fairly priced after watching 50 hours of video reviews. With a Prime Day price tag around $250 these Momentum 4’s were well worth the purchase. I’m going to say that they just aren’t gong to work for me because I also purchased a pair of Focal Bathy’s ($699), and a pair of Bower’s and Wilkin’s Px7S2e in the awesome color Blue at ($249) to compare them with. The Momentum 4’s functionality is great but they just sound a bit thick, and less refined. This after listening to the others. And they are pretty non from a fashion perspective which I viewed personally as a plus. They are great if you have larger ears! Moving onto the others. After purchasing the Focal Bathy’s I quickly came to realize that they were not the headphones that I was going to walk around town wearing. They are on the larger side, and present with some flashiness. That aside though, they are absolutely awesome sounding and BLOW AWAY the Momentum 4’s. So if that’s the comparison you’re looking for, then there is your answer. I am keeping them as my “reference” wireless headphones. And with the cabled DAC connectivity it’s a no brainer! Not even a second thought. Well maybe. For just a moment that happened after I listened to the Px7S2e cans and thought about the price difference. They, the Px7S2e headphones are absolutely pleasurable to listen to. The sound stage is remarkable, really really. And at ($249) on Prime Day they were certainly the best electronics purchase that I had made in years. I also think that they be worth it at full price. Smaller than both the others and with a build quality and design that warrants the full price. Also worth noting is that I did listen to the Bose UC’s and I am intrigued by the spacial audio feature and the overall, well almost weightlessness of the headphones. They just weren’t priced well enough for me to justify purchasing them and aside from their dominance in the noise cancellation department they just review as “pretty good” on sound quality. I would say to me they sounded on par with the Momentum 4’s. I don’t get too caught up in the “app” features as they can drastically improve with one update. I will mention that none had me shaking my head in either direction. And lastly, this journey all started with a pair of refurbished AirPods Max headphones. It made sense since I am in the Apple ecosystem. However I was very surprised at how uncomfortable they were as soon as I put them on my head. I was like wow, really. I felt as though they were going to dent my big head. LOL. I did like the “crown control dial” quite a bit I have to say. If you’re shopping for wireless headphones and you stayed with me here you should just keep in mind that deciding on speakers and headphones is so very subjective from a sound perspective. We all hear a bit differently. You’ll know it when you put “THE” pair on, raise your eyebrows, and say WOW. Fashion statements are a whole other sub topic. AND if you’re thinking what about the Sony XM5’s, all I’m going to say is that I am turned off by the over functionality of the Sony apps. From their cameras to their headphones and beyond. The end.

Ok. It was Black Friday / Syber Monday 2024 and I figured why not drop some money and help everyone else figure out which headphones are the best. I did not test anything $600 or more. These headphones were mid level, where most buyers are. With incredibly pricing, some of these were downright a steal!I am going to break them down into a few categories (Sound Quality, price value, bluetooth app Connection, comfort, style) and give you the results on each category. So pleased I discovered these! Exceeded my high expectations. Excellent fit and finish, awesome sound. Coming from Bose and was slightly concerned as reviews had suggested these had less low end bass compared to the Bose. Not the case. I find myself preferring ‘commercial’ sound like Bose and find audiophile stuff quite flat. Also don’t want 50 settings for sound or the requirement to dial it in just to use the product. These are exceptional straight out of the box. You can still adjust bass and treble in the app should you want to.The main reason I chose these over Sony, Bose, Sonos etc was the USB-C charging and passthrough for wired lossless playback. This includes lossless playback from Apple devices (haven’t tested others but I’m sure if Apple works they would as well). Only caveat is they need to be powered on. Power draw appears minimal (connect to USB after powering on). Buttons for volume and multifunction still work. Mic doesn’t appear to work.Transparency and noise cancellation are more than adequate, but are not best in class. However, colors are and a welcome change to everything else on the market. My choice (green) is mature and understated, looks and feels very premium. Very comfortable, but haven’t tested extended use yet. Weight is between Bose QC and Apple AirPods Max.One niggle is the included USB-C to USB-C cable came with discoloration/staining on the ends – pictured. Also comes with 3.5mm to USB-C which was not discolored. Works fine (cable is otherwise a decent quality soft plastic) but a bit disappointing from a QA/QC perspective.

Weil mir das nicht so wichtig ist. Funktioniert aber.Ich kenne die Marke B&W schon seit 30 Jahren und habe Lautsprecher der Firma in meiner Sourroundanlage. Die Qualität und der Klang sind immer noch toll. Deshalb habe ich nach vielen Rezessionen jetzt zu den BT Kopfhörern PS7SE gegriffen, in der Erwartung etwas langlebiges und solides zu bekommen.Das Unboxing vermittelt den Eindruck eines teuren Produkts. Solider Karton in einem Schober und darin ein Case für die Kopfhörer mit 2 Verbindungskabeln zum Laden und zur analogen Nutzung per Klinkenstecker. Eine bebilderte Kurzanleitung auf Papier.Die Kopfhörer haben Gewicht. Die Gehäuseteile und Drehgelenke sind aus Metall und wirken robust. Es knarzt nichts, wie das Plastikteile oft tun. Die GröÃen verstellung ist stufenlos und bleibt in der Stellung. Die Ohrmuscheln wirken etwas klein, passen aber über meine Ohren und liegen gut und akkustisch dicht an. Meine Brillenbügel werden nicht zu stark gedrückt. Der Anpressdruck ist schon hoch, die Hörer verruschen aber so nicht beim Nicken. Der Sitzt ist gut und bequem.Ich trage die Hörer im häuslichen Umfeld und höre stundenlang Musik, Film, Gaming Sound. Sie sind nicht lästig und die Ohren werden zwar schon warm, aber es ist gut auszuhalten. Jeder der OverEarHörer in geschlossener Bauweise trägt, weià dass er die Ohren ab und zu lüften sollte.Die Geräuschisolierung im ausgeschalteten Zustand ist bereits gut und bei aktivem ANC wird durch Noisecanceling zusätzlich gefiltert. Bei gehobener Lautstärke spielt das aber eh keine Rolle mehr.Für meine Zwecke war wichtig, dass der Hörer stressfrei und natürlich klingt, Sprache gut wiedergibt und bei geringer Lautstärke überzeugend klingt. Das tut er.Die App zum Einstellen des Hörers empfinde ich als nervig und die Notwendigkeit der Standortfreigabe wärend die App mit dem Hörer arbeitet, als Zumutung. Weil es technisch unnötig ist. Ich habe die App installiert und den Hörer eingestellt. Dann habe ich der App alle Rechte entzogen und sie in den Appdrawer verbannt bis ich sie wieder brauche, also hoffentlich nie.ANC, nutze ich nicht zum Ausblenden, sondern um meine Umgebung noch wahrzunehmen. Da ich mit meinem Sound oder Musik keinen stören möchte, trage ich die Hörer oft und lange, deswegen brauche ich den Transparenzmodus, um ansprechbar zu sein. Bei niedrigerer Lautstärke klappt das sehr gut, ohne dass mir einer auf die Schulter klopft oder die Hörer vom Kopf reiÃen muss. Die Hörer sind also durchaus sozial.Der Klang der PX7SE hat mich zuerst nicht vom Hocker gerissen, er war eher unspektakulär. Zum Vergleich dazu habe ich die Bluetooth Hörer Anker soundcore life q20+ und die AKG271MKII kabelgebunden. Alle sind Overear und geschlossen.Der AKG ist neutral und knackig im Bass. Die Geräuschisolierung ist hoch. Toptragekomfort, aber kabelgebunden und überträgt deshalb bei Bewegung immer Körperschall, wenn das Kabel reibt und er knarzt bei Kopfbewegungen. (Alles Körperschallefekte)Die Anker Soundcore sind fett im Bass und weniger neutral, dafür aber Kabellos und haben ANC. Trotzdem ändert sich der Klang, sobald ANC aktiviert wird. Noise Canceling kling top, normal und Transparent im Vergleich dazu wie Blecheimer. Ohne Kabel gibt es praktisch keine Gräusche durch Körperschall. Und die Akkulaufzeit von 15h ist gut.Die B&W PX7SE klingen mit ANC Transparenz richtig toll. Im Vergleich mit den Anker Soundcore gibt es in den ANC Modi keinen Soundunterschied. Der Klang bleibt gleich. Es werden halt nur Geräusche gefiltert oder im Transparentmodus durchgelassen. Ich habe in der App den Klangregler genutzt und den Bass um 1dB und die Höhen um 3dB angehoben. Der Effekt war kravierend. Die Hörer klingen erheblich transparenter und ausgewogener. Der Transparenzmodus der ANC gibt jetzt Umgebungsgeräusche mit geringer Dämpfung natürlich wieder. Tiefe und hohe Laute Töne werden effektiv im ANC canceling gedämpft. Staubsaugen macht jetzt Spass.

After looking for a nice pair of wireless headphones, I opened for these on an Amazon Prime day. They fit well and are a great design. Battery life seems great and I had no issues connecting them to my phone. Noise cancellation seems effective. As you would expect from B&W, they come in with a nice storage box. Overall excellent build and sound quality but they do come at a premium price
