compatible with ROG Zephyrus G14 and works like a charm
tl;dr, review title + turn computer off completely and unplug your computer before upgrading your ram b/c some tutorials won’t remind you to do that when you install ram into your computer on your own. just closing the computer will not do anything.I got 1 ram card, which came in one of those cheap little plastic packages that everything comes in these days and was mailed in a small parcel. i installed the ram myself, and it works well, as expected from something made by crucial.I own the ROG Zephyrus G14 that comes with 8gb of ram soldered to the motherboard. It has one upgrade slot for an additional 8gb of ram (i believe the 16gb model is the same: 16gb soldered onto motherboard and 1 open slot, but I’m unsure of whether you can put a 16gb ram chip in the slot or if it can only be 8gb).since most highly demanding games can, but barely, run on 8gb, i opted for another 8gb of ram. i’ve done ram upgrades before, but for those who haven’t, there’s a lot of good videos out there on youtube that show you how to install a new ram chip into an open slot (or conversely, take a ram stick already in your computer out of a slot, and put in a new ram stick in). some videos won’t say as much, but ALWAYS turn your computer completely off and unplug it before performing any kind of upgrade on it. you can fry the whole computer doing that or electrocute yourself.

I wasn’t sure if I could do it, but it was very easy to install and made it much faster! As the other reviewer said, I should have done this a long time ago! – I will update the review is there are any stability issues.

I have a dell inspiron laptop and checked their website for the type of memory. I went to Crucial’s website to check their computer finder-memory match app. They both agreed. Since then, I have actually read up on my memory and now am 100% confident I purchased the correct one. I bought from calvinNhobbs. Amazon was out and not expecting inventory for a while. It arrived fast and in good shape. I put it in (I already had 1 stick originally installed). I just matched the size (mine was 8GB) and other parameters. The win10 inspiron computer found it and booted up fine – great stuff! CPU-Z did not distinguish between the modules when exploring the memory which means that the match is really good. One thing to note, is was 2666 MHz memory, matched to the original. Due to the way computers are made, it only runs at 2400 which is as it should be. This can be confusing but it is correct. Read up on it.

I do think that it should include something saying “hey you should buy a tech opening set” first because some devices are as easy as a slide or a pull but others are like trying to change my fridge filter without a pair of pliers, seriously its like it has been superglued on with gorilla glue if gorilla glue was as strong as advertised. Other than that, decently easy to install, take old one (or ones) out, pop in new ones, press down, close. |Note to anyone:I’m telling you, GET a tool set meant for opening electronics like phones, laptops, and consoles. With guitar picks, unless you have those rare laptops with upgrade doors or screws and no clips, you WILL need them. (Don’t use metal ones if your device is plastic or soft glass, now the bottom corner of my laptop is all messed up.)

Best value laptop RAM
I bought this for my Dell inspiron in to upgrade from 8gb to 16gb. The rank was compatable with Dells propitary RAM so i only needed to buy one stick instead of two. The Dell website wanted to charge me $80 for an additional stick but at $32 I can say the crucial RAM for th last 6 months has been performing smoothly in my laptop. I’ve been so impressed with the value of Crucial RAM im buying 4 more sticks of the desktop version of this RAM for my new PC build. Overall Crucial is the beat value for money RAM around. Nothing speacil but good quality, valuable RAM.

Works and Fits on 2019 iMac 27â How to install 16gb of ram Crucial – or 8gb x 2 ram !
See photo for Crucial ram spec. number. Initially the install did not work â black screen , no boot up – with the , as factory installed Apple 4gb ram in the original 1 and 3 slots . And the 2 new 8gb Crucial in the 2 and 4 slots . Note number 1 slot is on the bottom , number 2 next , with #4 at the top . As per a tech site where people had the exact same problem with the 2019 Apple iMac 27â , â- adding the 3rd and 4th ram â no screen boot etc. after adding new ram to the existing ram . What did work was to leave the Apple 4gb ram in the 1st slot . Place the two new Crucial 8gb. in the #2 slot and # 3 slot and placing the other Apple ð 4gb. ram in the top #4 slot . Note , you will have to remove the one Apple 4gb from the #3 slot and move it to #4 slot at the top position . To remove the existing ram I used the blunt end of wooden chopsticks, or use a wood pencil to gently push up one side or edge of the ram only a tiny bit then the other side , then pull the ram out with your fingers . Also the ram has a notch closer to the left side of center of the ram . This notch will be on your left as it faces you and when you install it in the slot . Press firmly , you will feel it seat with no movement after. After your iMac boots up , check your memory and it should show all 4 ram and the gbs listed too. Click on the Apple ð upper left screen for this info.

Especificaciones acordes a lo anunciado en modulo de 8GB.Para todas las preguntas de compatibilidad, dejo esta respuesta aquÃ, a lo mejor a alguien le sirve.El procedimiento para saber si una RAM es compatible es:1.- Revisa en ark.intel.com o en amd.com tu procesador y ve el limite de memoria que tiene; habitualmente gamas medias soportan hasta 32 GB. Si eso está bien pasa al siguiente.2.- Descarga CPUZ desde cpuid. com e instalalo, es gratis y solo sirve para monitorear. Una vez instalado o desde el portable, ir a la pestaña de ‘SPD’, hay encontrarás sin abrir el equipo las ranuras disponibles de la computadora y la información disponible sobre las que estén ocupadas. Si tus memorias son tipo DDR4; como este producto, entonces pasa al siguiente paso.3.- De la pagina del paso 1, si la frecuencia máxima y voltaje de memoria de tu CPUes mayor o igual a esta memoria entonces estás libre y funcionará sin problema. Voila!Compactibilidad: La mayorÃa ya tiene una memoria instalada ¿es compatible entonces? SÃ, si esta memoria es ‘más rápida’ entonces solo funcionará más lento para estar a la par de tu otra memoria que puede ser más lenta, en el caso contrario, si es más lenta esta que la que ya tienes, la otra memoria será la que se hace más lenta. ¿Eso es malo? Depende. Si tienes solo una memoria y pones una segunda esto habilita la configuración de doble canal que por default hace que el CPU tenga el doble de ancho para guardar información, asi que aunque sean más lentas a la vez tu computadora se verá ‘más rápida’ esto en particula a todo los procesadores AMD Ryzen se ven muy beneficiados en rendimiento, en la plataforma de Intel no se nota mucho este asunto de ‘velocidades’.
