Arrived Damaged & Out Of Date
This one is going back! I needed an inexpensive Chromebook for a Ham Radio project and I like Dell so this seemed like a good deal. It is a low end Chromebook so I expected it to be slow and have low storage capacity. Both of those are true and I was willing to work around them. I normally steer clear of “refurbished” equipment unless I am very familiar with the seller but I took a chance on this one.What I didn’t expect is that it would arrived damaged. Please look at the photos. At one point it had been dropped hard on the right rear corner so who knows what other internal damage still exists. (That’s why I got the extended warranty.) It was shipped in bubble wrap in a plastic envelope so I don’t know if the damage occurred during shipment or if it was sent that way. The box I sent it back it offers VASTLY more protection than the envelope the seller shipped it in.But it still worked so I was willing to live with it until I attempted to install some Android software from the Google Play Store. I can’t! Seems this laptop is so out of date that it hasn’t been eligible for updates since September 2021. As a result I cannot load anything from the play store and almost two years of security and system updates cannot be loaded. I didn’t see anything in the description that warned about this so I am returning the laptop for a refund.The description reads “This product is in “Excellent condition”. The screen and body show no signs of cosmetic damage visible from 12 inches away.” Look at the photos: you can see that damage from 12 FEET away. And, naturally, I have to pay return postage which will be about half what I paid for it.Beware when you see a computer “deal” on Amazon that features a “renewed” product unless security and functionality is unimportant to you. This seller, “Tech Magnet” is now on my permanent “NEVER AGAIN” list of sellers on Amazon.

Affordable Option if you need something temporary…
For the most part, the computer software is well refurbished as new. Fully functional, battery life is great, screen quality and clarity are absolutely exceptional. Is a touch screen but I believe some people didn’t receive one that was. Does come with a charger and packaged well for protection. Mine did come with some minor external defects (such as a few minor scratches, very small cracks, etc…) but nothing a little case can’t hide. Connects well with any wifi, runs exceptionally well, already has some Google software installed (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc…), Only minor issue that wasn’t a full 5 stars for me was the Camera quality. I troubleshot via a Zoom meeting and the camera quality was absolutely dreadful but I don’t often have video meetings which is good. But again for the overall price point, this is definitely a steal in my opinion.

Product Came Damaged
I ordered 4 of these. They shipped quickly and chromebooks work well. My kids are homeschooled and they needed them for their schoolwork. One of the chargers came with frayed wires and won’t charge. I contacted seller about getting it replaced and never heard back. Kids are sharing which is annoying.

Outdated and no longer updatable
Have had a lot of issues since this is so old google OS no longer supports it and doesn’t provide updates. Causes a lot of issues with websites since you cannot update the chrome browser. Would advise against this laptop since it doesn’t have the functionality to update risking security and usability.
