Incredible Laptop, by far the best I’ve ever purchased from Amazon..
Purchased this Dell Latitude E7470 to replace an older Dell Inspiron that I gave to my youngest son. I run Linux Mint Mate’ on all my computers, using the Wine compatibility layer to run a couple of Windows programs I use. Mint comes with everything anyone typically wants or needs, plus it’s far easier to work with and more secure by design than Windows ever has been, and I go all the way back to the days of MS-DOS and the first iterations of Windows that became available.I know this machine is sold as ‘refurbished’, but I see no evidence whatsoever of the laptop I received ever being used. To me it’s as ‘new’ as any new PC I’ve ever purchased! When it arrived it was ‘exactly’ as advertised and so much better than I expected that it took a while to overcome my amazement and set it up.Normally I format the hard drive and replace Windows with the latest version of Linux Mint, which is what I intended to do with this Dell as well. After checking the specs on the machine I found it came with a 512GB SSD and a fully legal installation of Windows 10 waiting to be activated. So I figured what the heck – leave Windows in place for the occasional Windows program I run and install Linux Mint 19.3 alongside it in its own partition. That way I can ‘dual-boot’ these two operating systems and get the most out of each one. Took a while to set things up, but this *new* Dell is now a dual-boot machine with either Mint or Windows selectable at the boot start menu.I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. When it comes to maximizing ‘bang-for-your-buck’ I haven’t seen anything that’ll beat this PC no matter how you figure it!

Was in brand new condition!
No one will make me get out of my head that they sent me a laptop that was new! This refurbished laptop exceeded my expectations by a lot!!! I am not sure what I was expecting, I needed a laptop for school and this one seemed to be what I needed at the right price. Dell seems to make machines that last so I trust the brand but the laptop was refurbished so I took a risk with the sellers. On top of everything they only had two reviews at the time I purchased (and still) anyways, I figured worse case scenario I would return it. But from the way they packaged it to the condition of the computer it seriously looks and feels like new, I was blown away. I have had it for almost a month now and it is amazing! the only thing is this… on the pictures it shows like it has a pattern on the lid cover but the one I received didnt. I tried to email the sellers but they never replied. too bad because that is literally the only downside, their customer availability. Now, I like the smoothness of the laptop but it is not as advertised in that sense. All the other features are exact. Mine is like smooth rubbery/gummy idk how todescribe it but its really nice. like I said, just not as advertised. ok so im in love and so not regret it one bit. Thanks for reading.

I got a bad one
Today, It arrived early, and looked so brand new…I was so happy. Battery was full. Then I turned it on…#1 Bad SSD, won’t boot up from disk, had to use USB, but then what?…no disk. <---- broken SDD/ no boot#2 Drive checked bad during system diagnostics, <----- not checked before shipping/#3 I received a low res version, not the one advertised <-----false advertisingwhat more can go wrong? The only thing that went right? Seller was fair when I asked for refund.

Low battery life time and 2x 4Gb memory
This is a high performance laptop for general application. With SSD, the PC boot up time is very short. It can handle most daily activity, processing document, or even some PC game. I play a free 3D car racing game, ASPHALT, from Microsoft store without experiencing problem while playing it. By the way, it is a great game!However, I notices around fan area, it accumulates a lot of dust. It also got 2x 4Gb memory in it, so it makes future memory upgrade more expensive. Its battery lifetime is short. For example, less then 2 hours for watching Youtube with 50% brightness, or ~3.5 hours with simple web browsing and most of time do nothing with 20% brightness and also in “battery saving mode” too. I am not quite happy with battery life time. Its CPU is i7-6650U, 2.20GHz. With Windows 10 Pro only, it already used up 38% memory. Also, my laptop come with 60W Dell power supply. It is working ok with it now.The overall condition of this laptop is ok, and ready for most PC application if the shorter battery life is acceptable to user. By the way, it has an e-port docking capability. I really like that feature. It provides “no” lacking response to external monitor compare to USB docking.In term of overall performance, it should be 5 stars, but due to the shorter battery life, I give it 4 stars.

Great Value for Price!
I don’t normally take the time to write reviews, however, since I look at reviews to help make decisions when making purchases I felt like I should. The computer was exactly as advertised. I purchased it for my 7 year old son who wanted something for gaming. I tried several new computers at Costco and returned them all!! I’m not a computer geek so I just want things to work. I just need a reliable computer with an operating system capable of running basic games like Minecraft and other Steam games. Although this computer isn’t designed for gaming it runs everything my son uses and the operating system is stable and consistent, which is awesome! This was a perfect option for a reasonable price!

Read full review. Happy with performance but very disappointed with the physical condition.
The machine performs as stated but there is something I don’t agree with the statement “Looks and works and new”. This laptop does run great, but physically does have many scratches on top of the unit and it does not make it look like a new product at all. I will keep it because it runs great (as far as I can see), but I think I paid a little too much for the looks of this unit. I could take a credit of at least a 20% from the seller or Amazon just for not being very honest about the way it should have been described. Make sure you describe things as they are. Thank you!

My best buy refurbished product if you are looking for a good business laptop with a low budget. Very happy with the performance of the laptop. Latitude 14 inches 7470 model. In fact, to my surprise, I received an upgraded model 7480. Thanks to the seller. Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6300U CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.50 GHz, 8GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, Windows 10 Pro operating system. Everything is as promised by the seller. It came with professional airbag packaging. It was without any scratch or damage and like new. Performance-wise best to my experience so far, Lightning speed due to SSD. The camera is good, sound crystal clear. A six-month seller warranty will give you mental peace. Please note that this model does not have a backlit keyboard but the keyboard is very good. I Highly recommend this product to buy.
