Excellent for the price
Packaging was adequate and the computer arrived quickly and without damage. It was very clean (especially inside) and had only a few cosmetic blemishes, some of which had been disguised with a little black spray paint. It lives under my desk, so thatâs not an issue for me.I plugged in a network cable and booted the system. It came right up on Windows 10 Pro version 1803 and activated the license without any effort on my part. It took about 45 minutes to download and apply all the accumulated Windows updates. The CD drive is read only, so I replaced that, as I had a read/write drive in the junk box. The VGA port provides 1920×1080 resolutions, which is all my monitor can do. Replacing the VGA cable with a display port to HDMI cable improved the quality of the display for $10 (from Amazon). At this point Iâd say itâs a capable if somewhat sluggish home/business computer. Without any further modifications, the Passmark overall score was 1525. I backed up the included 1TB drive and then disconnected it. I installed a 250G SSD and recovered the system to that drive. (I think a 120G would be big enough and you can find those for around $20). I then reinstalled and formatted the original drive which has all the room Iâll ever need to store pictures, music, cat videos, etc. It now goes from power off to booted and ready in about 20 seconds, and shuts down in about 5 seconds. Programs also load much faster, and at this point Iâd call it a perfectly acceptable business computer for about $250. The Intel video is still pretty slow, so no action games! The Passmark score was now up to 1801, still lagging behind my i3-4170 desktop, which comes in at 2403.I wanted a little better graphic performance without too much cost or effort and decided on a Gigabyte Geforce GT 1030 card. While my Dell is the little tower, this card is very compact and should fit in the small form factor units without any problem. Less than $100, and while the specs call for a 300w power supply, it appears that the slightly smaller Dell unit handles the additional load without complaint. The score is now up to 3769 placing it above the 70th percentile of Passmarkâs world-wide ratings. I canât address games, but others seem to favor a Geforce 1050 video card. That probably requires going to a 500w power supply. As for me, the GeForce 1030 does everything I need to do, and it does it pretty fast.Last step was an upgrade to version 1809. No problems encountered. This is a great little computer at a price not much greater than the Windows license included with it. If you donât mind some tinkering, it can be turned into a system with a huge amount of capability at a very modest cost.

Works great, perfect for the price
Definitely want to put some extra RAM and a gpu in it but once you get those going it runs pretty alright for the age and can run games pretty good, and the packaging was super dope

As described, but UPS tried to destroy it.
I’m a senior citizen who wanted a tower to set up as a “gaming” PC that I could upgrade/tinker with. The games are non-AAA, easy on the GPU … The Witness, Obduction, Ultimate General Civil War, and other older games. I’ve installed a better GPU (given what my budget, and the cost of them are currently) and additional RAM. It works very well for this purpose. I also use it for the internet … typing this review on it.Positives: Exactly as described. Very clean on inside and a few scuffs on the case. Booted up just fine and did it’s Windows registration thing.Neutrals: NO written info in box or the case. I’ve bought used PC before and they usually come with at least some written documentation … even a single sheet of paper. No Windows product key on or in the case … is this the norm now?Negative: The worst thing is UPS. The shipper boxed the product very well, but UPS tried it’s very best to destroy it between Canada and Georgia. The box almost came open at one of the taped section (it was adequately taped if you don’t THROW the box around) and the box was torn in a couple of places. UPS manged to tear the case cooling fan from it’s supports (it was hanging by one), and the empty 5.25 inch bay cover had come loose.

It failed after three days.
The unit arrived with one end of the box opened. It had one piece of tape holding it together that failed. Iâm really not sure if I got everything that the unit was shipped with. The hard drive had a continuous clicking sound and after day three it would not even boot up. This was delivered via ups, not Amazon. The return had to be made to a UPS shipper and not through the normal Amazon return center. I donât know if the unit was defective when shipped or if UPS was responsible. Oh, I had to re-box the unit and âTape it upâ to send it back ð

Product was pristine. Not a speck of dust on the inside. This is the *ideal* Dell (or similar ‘minitower’) to buy if you’re looking to upgrade it into a gaming rig. Because the PSU is actually just a stanard ATX power supply with 24-pin connector, and it will need to be replaced if your plans include upgrading the (non-existent) GPU. The Dell PSU is only 240w, and you’ll need at least 450 to run anything from a GTX 950 upward.Consider the dimensions of the included PSU, as well, as there is a depressive latch on the back side of the case which is designed to hold the PSU in place. If your PSU is larger it simply won’t click back into position. There’s also some kind of clip on the top front side of the case which might make it difficult to get larger PSUs in (though probably not impossible). Luckily, the old 550w PSU I had laying around was the exact same size. For reference, the measurements of the included PSU are: 5.5 x 5.875 x 3.375″ (Depth x Width x Height).I had to invest in two other little things to complete my upgrade: the first being a 90-degree 15-pin SATA power extension cable.. because of how the HDD is oriented in the case, if you don’t have low-profile L-shape cables to connect to it, you’ll never get the side back on (without smushing the cables). The second thing, which again was inexpensive, was a 2.5″ to 5.25″ drive mounting bracket; so that I could throw in an SSD and not just have it loose in the case… being mounted in the second 5.25″ drive bay under the optic drive. What makes this deal even better is the included Windows 10 *Pro*!

I needed another desktop as my other one just died. After changing the power supply, hard drive and memory chips it would not even boot into the bios. Not wanting to spend a lot of money I decided to give this machine a tray as it is a full size tower and allowed me to transfer components from my old machine, if needed. I was quite pleased when it arrived quickly and was up and running within minutes. Even the the little wi-fi usb adapter that was supplied worked fine and the new keyboard and mouse was an added bonus. It took me longer to transfer all my files (docs, pics, music etc.) than to get this machine up and running and windows activated. I am not into gaming so can’t comment on that but as an everyday machine for spreadsheets, documents, image editing, music files, email and web surfing it runs just fine and I would highly recommend this machine.
