Great Rebuilt — For a more than reasonable price.
I bought this computer to do video editing for teenage basketball players on the nearby reservation. My Acer lap top with 4GB memory did the job, but this Dell 990 loaded with 16GB memory does it many times faster and makes the job so much more enjoyable. The improvement in speed is incredible. The 2TB hard drive is huge, but of course not as fast or as costly as newer SSD drive technology. I actually had to phone customer service to get Windows 10 Pro to load, but there was no wait time on the call, and they gave 5+ star service all the way. I would do business with this company again in a flash! (Blair Technology Group) Being an older model rebuilt computer, the only drawback was that there were no 3.0 or 3.1 USB ports. So dumping the contents of my laptop into this computer v.i.a. a USB drive was a slow process. I probably should have wasted a blank DVD to make the transfers. I basically knew the specs on this computer when I ordered it, and could have done better if I had spent 3 times more. I am totally satisfied with this purchase, and would highly recommend this company. I saved their contact phone number, and if I need something more in a computer for family or friends, I will be giving them a phone call.

Piece of Junk
UPDATE:Amazon emailed Blair Tech. and then emailed me saying Blair said to to return the computer and that Amazon was sending a return label and any fees would be paid by the extended warranty I purchased. I got my refund of about ½ the cost of the computer. Amazon said the rest was for the label and restocking. So the money I paid for the extended warranty was a waste of money and the money I paid for the computer was a waste too since I don’t have a computer and less than ½ the money I started out with. The extended warranty company has my money, Amazon has some of my money, and Blair has ½ of my money. Amazon has a racket going on here.I bought 2 computers. One for my daughter from JSM Computers and it was so nice I wanted to get me one also but they were out of stock so this one, from Blair Technologies was almost the same so I purchased this one … BIG MISTAKE.. this computer sounds like it is going to blow up or something or at least it did that is until it stopped running. I turned on the computer and it started to come up and then it stopped. I looked at the lights showing the drives. only 1,3,4 drives are running, drive 2 won’t go, so since the computer won’t boot up, I figure the part of the boot-up program resides there. During bootup, it says to press F12 for other startup options but the computer stops the same. And when it was still able to boot I tried to reset the computer using the recovery partition on the hard drives and just as I think it is about to complete it cancels. The Recovery Partition is no good either. I bought an extended warranty but when I called them they said it is still covered by the seller’s warranty so they can’t do anything yet, and Blair refuses to do anything, so I have a big piece of junk I can only use as a paperweight. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM BLAIR TECHNOLOGIES… Buy from JSM Computers instead!

Easy of installation
The installation was very easy and it works very well although the monitor has some scratches but it is something minimal to stop at the price it is good it arrived very quickly and the internet was able to connect very well it would be good if you brought your bosnias the processor is missing a piece of rubber where Apolla

Nice for the price.
I bought this computer to replace an old Lenova running Windows 8. Delivery was originally scheduled for a Friday, changed to Tuesday and delivered on Monday. It was missing one very small piece used to extend the screw holes for attaching the monitor, but there was one I could steal from another unused area. The monitor has a very nice swivel base that sits a little higher than my previous one, but I like that I’m looking straight at the monitor instead of a bit down. The monitor itself is a good size (large, but not too large) for the desk I use. The keyboard seems a little lightweight, but it works fine. Setup was easy and the tower has plenty of USB ports in it. The only thing I’m missing is a reader for SIM cards. I take photos with a digital camera and am used to removing the SIM card and downloading my pics directly from it. I just need to figure that out later. I’ve only had the computer for a few days now, but so far, I like it. Nice and quiet compared to my older one.

UPDATE: NOV 8 21: It’s been 4 months since I’ve been able to use my computer. Monitor just stopped working. I sent it back and the same one was sent back to me. Asurion told me they couldn’t duplicate the problem. I took it to a computer repair store and they couldn’t get it to work, either. I’m upset that my warranty is not being honored.Very pleased so far!! Nothing about this computer says “refurb” to me. It looks like any of the latest desktops. No dents, scratches or damage. Very professionally packaged. Preloaded with Win 10, MS Office. Has a CD drive, lots of USB ports and 2TB HD. Very impressed for the quality and price!! I was so happy that Amazon extended credit to me and made this purchase possible. I absolutely recommend if you’re looking for a quality product at an affordable price!!
