Fun for preschoolers
Bought two of these for for an older toddler and a pre-K child. Both are having a lot of fun with this LCD art tablet. There were other brands available on Amazon that looked flimsier but these Discovery tables are sturdy. Would recommend to others 🙂

Excellent Art Tablet
I am constantly looking for good toys that will occupy and engage my little one. I had wanted to pickup an art tablet for a while, and Iâm really glad I found this one. I love the fact the pen is attached and more difficult to lose, and the multi color drawing is great (although you canât select the specific colors). The tablet is very responsive and feels rugged enough to handle frequent and inevitable drops. There is a little button on the side that quickly erases the screen, and a locking slider that disables that button. However, the locking slider does not disable the ability to write on the tablet. If you want your little one to draw something without accidentally erasing something, thatâs great. If youâre looking to preserve a drawing during travel, this slider isnât going to do the trick if thereâs pressure against the LCD that creates more marks. This tablet does require batteries which are not included.

Very happy with it
The overall design is great. I’m very happy with it. It seems to be very responsive and work well. Say good-bye to accidental erasing. While you can use a finger nail to draw on this too, the pen being connected is a smart touch. The board is clear and nice looking and the tablet itself is large. The colors are nice, but obviously wish there was a way to control the color and not have it be a “scratch art” style. But it’s a great tablet. We use it for pictionary!

Fun doodle screen!

The tethered stylus keeps it connected–especially nice when traveling in the car or on a plane as the stylus can’t be dropped. I don’t know how durable the tether will be to “enthusiastic” pulling or biting, but it seems sturdy. I tugged it a few times.The board wipes clean with a push of a button. This requires two AAA batteries and a small Philips head screwdriver to open the battery cover. The on/off switch will also protect your art project or message as it won’t erase in the “off” position. (However, drawings can be added when the power is off.) My grandson loves to practice math problems with this board. Overall, it’s a great toy for promoting imagination and creativity.

Great for little kids
Got this for my daughter for Christmas but caved and gave it to her early and she absolutely loves it! You can draw on it without batteries, but need batteries installed in order to erase the drawings. It takes 2 AA batteries, which are pretty easy to install. The ‘pen’ is attached and sticks out the right hand side once docked. With that said, I love that the pen goes all the way inside and doesnât stick out the side. The rainbow pad is lots of fun and keeps my daughter entertained for a good while. We’ve had several of these in the past, and this is definitely my favorite because of how smooth it writes, the size, and the vibrant colors. The price is also at the perfect price point. Highly recommend.

This writing board makes a great Christmas gift. Very well packaged. The color is very vibrant. Responsive and easy to write on. I really like the quality of the pen and the attached tether is long and soft. Better than the coil kind. The size is perfect for kids play by themselves. Erase by pressing the big button on the top. The screen can also be locked by a side slide button. From the look of it, body of the pad is water proof except the part on to where the battery and pen is. Smooth seamless surface makes it easy to clean. Material is hard plastic. Will last a long time.

Fun
This is really fun to draw and write on. There is a slight texture on the screen so that it feels more like writing on paper than glass. You don’t need much pressure at all. The lines look satisfying smooth and there is a slight gradient in the background so it has a fun look to it. You can get errant spots here or there if you touch it hard it enough with your hand or fingers but it doesn’t bother me much at all. With a single press of the eraser button, everything is cleared on the screen.You need two AAA batteries which it didn’t come with. I found it annoying that you needed a screwdriver to open it then realize it’s likely for child-safety. Overall, this is a very nice tablet for children!
