As simple as they get, and works great
Just used this to refill my coolant. Worked perfectly. There is a very, very slight coolant leakage around the qd fitting.. a few drops while using it.. Far from excessive.. and that could be anything. It works great, filled the car up in under 5 minutes.. Excellent for testing if you have any leaks while you still have the vacuum in the system (if vacuum drops, you have a leak.. if it doesn’t you know the system is air tight).Definite;y recommend.

Worked well. Must check for leaks before using.
Fit a Japanese sedan’s filler cap perfectly. This thing had a massive leak on the quick release next to the valve. I had to use a separate hand pump tool to figure this out. There was sporadic application of what looked like crazy glue to the threads that I had to remove with a brush and then add a few layers of plumbers tape and re-assemble. Otherwise, solid build quality. As it isn’t stated anywhere, you will also need 90-100PSI of continual compressed air flow to generate enough of a vacuum to get to -25 hg in a system that in my case has just under 2 gallons coolant capacity. In my case I used a 6 gallon 2.6 SCFM @ 90 PSI unit.

You need it
My buddy has been preaching about how awesome these are. Snap-On will trade you a kidney for one. Why not start small? Itâs a simple enough thing. First use for me was on a 2023 Blazer. Vac and filled to perfection. No leaks value is there for sure. Feels durable enough. Like I said itâs really a no brainer. The value is too good. If it breaks tomorrow I wonât be sad but it feels like a rugged enough piece. The machining on the screw feels a little crispy but it tightens down just fine. 5/5 Iâll update if something bad ever does happen.

GIANT PIECE OF GARBAGE!!
Held full vacuum ONE time (25 psi) then with no other changes wouldnât hold more than 5 psi. I couldnât even get half of the coolant needed to fill the system in before vacuum fell off completely. I confirmed there were no leaks, this tool is just a piece of trash and a complete waste of money! YOUâVE BEEN WARNED

Requires high-flow coupler. Does what it claims.
The air fitting on this unit requires the use of a high-flow coupler. Most automotive air fittings and couplers are 1/4″ and the high-flow or type ‘V’ coupler is hard to find. I had to find one locally, which wasn’t easy. You would think that they would include a high-flow coupler with the kit, but they don’t. The kit DOES work well enough, however, I do notice that the materials with which this kit is made seem to be of lower quality, like your typical Chinese tool. I wouldn’t be using this professionally, so it’s probably OK for me. If you are a pro who needs to use a tool like this on a frequent basis, you might want to get a higher quality set. Still, it does work.

Great little tool that’s what it’s supposed to.
Pros: easy to use, works well, not rocket science.Cons: second gauge was not calibrated to zero. I had to take it apart and manually zero it which is not a job I would suggest to someone who’s never done it. Considering what it does on this they could have a adjustable face and do away with the faceplate on the inside of the gauge. This way you can manually turn it to 0, as you only need it for reference. This tool is kind of like being sleepy and needing a hotel to crash in before you get up bright and early to continue a road trip. You can go to the cheap hotel or you can go to the expensive hotel… When you pull the curtains and turn off the light they both get dark and you sleep equally as well. This tool cost less but gets the job done.

Good unit and accurate, but air fitting didnât match
For the money it worked as it should. Rubber bung fittings were easy to use. The one issue I had that is important to note. The air compressor fitting the unit comes with was a strange type that didnât fit my hose. No problem as a have extras. The issue was that I almost broke my wrench trying to unthread the fitting! The aluminum must have galled to the fitting or something, but it took a little map gas and some penetrating oil and a lot of muscle to get it off without snapping it and rendering it useless. Have a air fitting you know fits your compressor line before you attempt to use this.

Easy to use, affordable and well built.
Anyone who complains they can’t figure this thing out has never put together a 4 piece jigsaw puzzle, has zero automotive critical thinking skills and shouldn’t be attempting it. This is the easiest coolant vacuum filler I have ever used. Doesn’t draw a ton of shop air, and is VERY easy to use. Comes with adapters to fit most vehicles.A lot of cars these days require a vacuum fill in order to properly purge coolant. This is a very affordable tool that works very well. I keep expectations low for these china tools but this one is really quality.
