Stunning Protection and Versatility
This case is everything I wanted for my iPad. The purple color is gorgeous, and the design makes my iPad feel incredibly secure. The multiple viewing angles are fantastic, especially the ultra-low position, which is perfect for drawing, which is the main reason I use my iPad.The case fits like a glove, looks sleek, and offers so much versatility with its configurations. It even has a secure spot to stow my Apple Pencil, a thoughtful touch. The magnetic cover stays firmly closed, and the materials feel sturdy and high-quality. With all the angles available, this case has been a dream for both working and streaming content. The only downside is that it’s heavy, but considering how well it protects and supports my iPad, I’m happy to trade a little weight for peace of mind. As someone who uses their iPad for daily creative work, I appreciate how functional and stylish this case is while maintaining a compact footprint. With so many positive reviews, I’m just here to confirmâit’s worth every penny.

Best Case Out There For M4 iPad Pro!
I have used many ESR cases with my iPads in the past and have loved all of them. The quality and function have always been excellent and always at a very good price. This one takes it to the next level in terms of functionality! Yes, it adds a little bulk to the thin and light iPad Pro, but for what it provides it is a worthy trade off in my opinion. I do not like a table case that requires snapping the tablet into the case the therefore making it much more of a hassle to get the table back out when you don’t want the added bulk and covers of the case flapping around when you just want to hold it in your hands and use it…like a tablet. This cases addresses that by having the magnetic frame/case that the iPad goes into, but can just stay in all the time and then that is what magnetically attaches to the rest of this case, so I can have all the function of this case when I need it or just my iPad all on its own at any time, without any hassle. All the available viewing angles for watching content or even putting it down low for writing, drawing, or typing are excellent and they are sturdy. The cherry on top for me is the pencil holder! With other cases in the past, I often buy the self adhesive pencil holders from ESR that can attach to any case so that I have somewhere to safely store the pencil when not in use or just leave it on the iPad, draining the battery. This case having one built in a great extra feature. The only thing better than the case itself, is the price. I cringe to think what this would cost if Apple sold it with their logo on it. The value here for the price is incredible and worth every penny. I have recommended it to everyone getting the new M4 iPad Pro.

Overall a great case
The ESR Shift is a nice and versatile case. I specifically wanted something that offered a bit of protection, let me prop my iPad up at different angles, and also have a removable front cover. This case handles all of that.It comes with a protective case that your iPad slips into which covers the entirety of the back and corners of your iPad. The cameras are recessed so they’re protected when the iPad is lying flat on its back and there’s a small rubber lip around the screen so that the screen doesn’t touch the surface when lying flat on its face. The corners seem fairly well protected by the rubber enclosure as well which should offer some drop protection. There’s also a slot for the Pencil though I didn’t test how well that works as I don’t have that accessory. This can then be placed in a detachable outer slip case that has positions for multiple angles if you want to prop your iPad up and also a magnetic front flap to cover the screen. This flap does turn on/off the iPad when opened/closed. The entire iPad is held in this outer case via fairly strong magnets.I really like this case because if I want to be more lightweight, I can just use the iPad solely in the inner case or if I want to prop it up or throw it in a bag while giving a bit more protection, I can magnetically attach the outer cover. If I had to nitpick I’d say it’s a bit heavy (like others have mentioned) when using the outer cover and that, due to the strength of the magnets, it can be a bit tough to separate the outer cover when you just want to use the case.Overall though, I’m very pleased with this product and would recommend it if you need the versatility!

Great case, the only downside is heavy
I love this case for all the built in positions it can be used in to display the ipad. It is highly protective, and I often just carry the ipad around in the basic case (without cover), because thatâs ligher. It improves the grip on the ipad, and has a small bumper around the screen to protect from drops. Iâve had to pay for new ipad Pro screens before, and they arenât cheap. With a screen protector plus this case I feel pretty confident that Iâm less likely to drop it, and if I did, I may not have to get a new screen.Overall, this is a nice design, practical, looks good, and has many nice features. The only thing I donât like is the sum total weight. If they could shave some weight off, this would be an easy 5 stars.

Daily Essential for My iPad Pro!
I use this case for my iPad Pro 12.9 every day, and itâs fantastic! The removable magnetic cover is so convenient, and the adjustable stand works perfectly for reading, drawing, or watching videos. The case feels sturdy and premium, providing excellent protection while remaining lightweight. Itâs the perfect blend of functionality and style. I highly recommend it for iPad Pro users!

Great product – quality is wonderful.Iâve had this on my iPad since I purchased it, around 6 months ago and itâs been solid since day one.No signs of wear, doesnât appear to be degrading in anyway. Also, the flexibility to change how you position the iPad is great. So many more options than most covers out there. It is a tiny bit thicker than most, so does add some weight to the overall product – but, the outer shell can be removed which leaves the cover on the iPad. Super functional design.Highly recommend. Great value for money.

After returning an other iPad Pro M4 launch case (which I wonât name) I ordered this one off of Amazon in hopes it wouldnât be trash.Letâs see about that! :pI chose blue but it also comes in boring black too. The core case is made of a softer plastic (maybe TPU?). It has a raised lip that protects the screen a bit, which is nice. The inside has a soft feel. Itâs not fabric but somehow feels like softer texture than the rest of the case. Much nicer than rigid plastic on other cases that wonât be named.Putting the iPad Pro 11â inside the core case, I immediately noticed a very snug fit.All holes and cutouts are aligned perfectly. The core case does add some weight but not enough to complain about. Now the core or main case magnetically attaches to the the folio. The magnets are strong! Once attached, weight becomes MUCH more noticeable. Similar to my Zugu case with 2018 12.9â iPad Pro. Thatâs definitely something to complain about for some of you. The saving grace about this beefcake folio is two fold (no pun intended).1) The Folio can be left behind and your iPad would still be protected by the main case. You can use the folio as a home base of sorts and dock it at your desk / bedside when needed. Put a screen protector on that sucker and youâre still better off than Apples own folio (protection wise).2) The Folio part is fricken great.Yup, fricken great. You see those six grooves? The bottom flap uses magnets that fit inside and don’t budge unless you force it to. Once you get to the 4th 5th and 6th groove, the case becomes a bit wobbly which would be an other unfortunate CON if the second flap on top didn’t exist! Second flap? Brilliant bit of engineering. Once you deploy that, it’s back to being completely sturdy. No wobbles!Tested the case in bed and unsurprisingly it worked perfectly.I was at the Apple Store testing out their folio on my lap and even now that it’s redesigned to be more stable, it still isn’t sturdy enough to inspire confidence on my lap (in the upright position) let alone laying down. I digress but the ESR case is ideal in this regard. One last thing on viewing options.Detach the main case from the folio and move it up a few inches until it magnetically snaps back in again. That’s right, your ipad pro’s case lifts, bro!Looking at ESR’s info, (or reading that silly comment I just typed) I wouldn’t blame you for passing this feature off as gimmicky. It’s totally not though and actually really useful. Raising the iPad those few inches gives a better viewing angle on a desk, counter etc.. The best part is it’s still sturdy to the point that I’m comfortable using it this way in bed.And it’s way more comfortable this way because my head doesn’t have to be propped up with my neck bent as much! Now that I’m done gushing about the folio, there are a couple more things worth mentioning. The sides of the folio can feel a bit sharp while handling. Not sure if itâs a good idea to file them down myself but it would be great if these edges were rounded off. The sides of the main case also have a bit of flex to them when holding the iPad. When you fold the flap from the folio closed to protect your iPad’s screen, a magnet tells the ipad to go to sleep. Unfortunately, this magnet does not keep the flap closed for some reason. If you let gravity have its way and flip the case over, the cover will fling open. I think this is an oversight and something ESR should definitely fix.So yea, I think that’s all I have to say for now. Honestly, this launch has been a bit of a ð© show with cases. Among the ones available, this ESR Shift series is the star of the show by a wide margin. Is it perfect? No. The folio part is really heavy, the sides are sharp to the touch and the flap cover wonât stay closed. But I’ll take these tradeoffs for the sturdiness and features it has (for now). Additionally this is hands down better than my old Zugu case which surprised me.Thanks for watching, don’t forget to like, sub… oh wait, that’s not what we do here… ð¤£*Edit* No, the case isnât perfect, I still think a future iteration should close magnetically and not be so rough around the edges. But Iâm giving ESR 5 stars for their customer service. Would gladly buy an ESR product in the future!

Game changer for me. Being able to have portrait mode without holding the iPad. I can read my online newspapers and have a coffee, at any angle I want. Exact functionality as the zugu. But zugu is more expensive and portrait mode not functionalThis case isNot heavy just perfect to carry.Magnets are strongAll the corners of iPad are well protectedGood fabric and built overall. Apple Pencil charges and holds on top no problemSo will see if the magnets will stay strong over time but right now, it is a very good case and happy with the purchase

From the moment I laid eyes on the ESR iPad Pro 12.9 Case for the 2022/2021 models, I knew I was in for a treat. Every feature of this case feels like it was meticulously crafted with the user in mind. Here’s my take on its impressive features:Magnetic Mastery: The magnet strength on this case is top-tier. I found myself attaching my iPad to the fridge, effectively transforming it into an ad-hoc smart fridge. It’s a quirky, yet incredibly practical feature that I didn’t realize I needed until now. Do note, this works best with metallic fridges; some stainless steel versions might not be as magnetic.Versatility at its Best: The ability to switch orientations seamlessly is phenomenal. Whether I’m reading an article, watching a movie, or sketching a design, the ESR case adapts to every scenario, offering optimal viewing angles.Apple Pencil Protection: For those of us who own an Apple Pencil, the case ensures it’s snugly and securely held. No more scrambling around searching for the pencil; it’s right where you need it to be.Precision Fit: The term “fits like a glove” gets thrown around a lot, but this case truly embodies that sentiment. It wraps around the iPad Pro 12.9 inch perfectly, ensuring no gaps or loose edges.Sleek Design: The black textured back doesn’t just provide a sturdy grip, it also looks incredibly slick and modern. It’s one of those cases that enhances the aesthetic appeal of your device.Transformative Stand: The stand functionality is a game-changer. With 9 standing angles to choose from, it offers unparalleled flexibility. Whether I’m working at a desk or lounging on the sofa, I always find an angle that’s perfect for me.However, there’s a minor caveat: The weight of the case when all its components are used together can be on the heavier side. This might be a concern for those who prioritize a lightweight setup. Thankfully, the design is modular, allowing you to use the components separately, tailoring the setup to your preferences and needs. In conclusion, the ESR iPad Pro 12.9 Case is a harmonious blend of design and functionality. Despite its heft when fully assembled, its adaptability ensures that you get the best of both protection and convenience. It’s not just a protective layer for your device; it’s an accessory that complements and elevates your iPad experience. Highly recommended!
