Although the base charger seems a bit light, it does charge the phone quite well. The included cord is thicker and heavier than most USB ports.I purchased a 2nd charger for my home, as I have been happy with the first one for my office desk.It occurs to me that I might end up overcharging the phone, however. So far, it always charges the phone faster than I am done with my desk-work. I presume that overcharging should not be an issue since it is not a problem when the phone is directly charging off a plugged in USB-C
