Convenient, a little slow
One star off for how slow it charges my phone while I’ve got google maps running, it basically just keeps the battery from falling further.Otherwise very convenient, good magnet strength. Would recommend placing it lower on your vents and out of the sun because the phone does heat up decently while charging.

I love that this mounts on the front of my dashboard easily and looks OK! And it charges my phone while I use Waze (a great directions app that eats your battery) and I can easily see my phone.

Only works with the AC mount 👎🏻
This product claims to give you options: AC mount or dash mount. The AC mount consists of a piece of plastic that has a metal hook where you stick the hook to the back of your AC vent and attach it that way. I didn’t want to use the AC mount, and I wouldn’t have been able to even if I did because the hook is less than a half inch long and my AC Vent blades are much wider than that (I drive a Jeep wrangler and the vent blades and an inch long or longer). I needed to use the dash mount, except I was mounting it to my windshield not my dash. The ball joint on the dashboard attachment is slightly bigger than the ball joint on the AC attachment. To the naked eye, you can’t even really see it. It was only after experimenting and fiddling with this thing for over a week I realized that the ball was ever-so-slightly bigger. It’s basically useless with the dash mount. Due to the ball joint being a little bit bigger, what happens is the plastic nut will not thread onto the body, so you cannot tighten it, which means your phone is sorta just hanging on and bouncing around as the car drives along. Not good. Unfortunately, by the time I diagnosed the problem I had surpassed my window to return it. In order to make it work, I had to bust out my dremel tool and use a sandpaper attachment to sand down the little ball joint to make it smaller. Once I did that, I was barely able to thread the nut onto the rest of the device, but without doing that it was literally impossible and quite useless. 1/10 would not recommend.
