Product Description
Overview
The PD 27W USB-C Power Supply(model:HT-PD27W-US ) is power supply designed for Raspberry Pi 5 computer. The PD27W USB-C Power Supply is an ideal power supply for Raspberry Pi 5 soc, especially for users who wish to drive high-power peripherals, such as hard drives and SSDs, from Raspberry Pi 5’s four Type A USB ports.
Delivering a maximum of 5.1V, 5A, it supports USB PD (Power Delivery), so Raspberry Pi 5 can communicate with it and select the most appropriate power profile. This enables Raspberry Pi 5 to increase the USB current limit automatically from the default 600mA to 1.6A, in order to provide extra power for devices connected to the four Type A USB ports.
Additional built-in power profiles mean the Raspberry Pi 27W USB-C Power Supply is also an excellent option for powering third-party PD-compatible products. The available profiles are 9V, 3A; 12V, 2.25A; and 15V, 1.8A, all limited to a maximum of 27W.

Dan Ponte –
Works great
I was somewhat skeptical, but this does actually negotiate 5V/5A for the Pi 5. Solid recommend, and this was actually in stock unlike the official adapter.
SJ Online –
Works As Expected!
I got this after receiving my new pi and being unable to use my SSD with it. The pi booted in a throttled power state before, but as soon as I plugged it in with this one the throttling went away and I was able to use my SSS properly.

JRM –
Works perfectly
This works perfectly for my Pi5. I deducted one star bc the item I received was in a box that looked like it got smashed or returned or something — but the item itself was perfect.
Shooter McGavin –
Works fine with the new Raspberry Pi 5
Upgrading from a 5v/3a supply to this 5.1v/5a unit removed the warning within Pi OS that external bus-powered devices couldn’t be used reliably. Using this brick with an NVMe hat and M.2 drive works perfectly.
Joe O’Brien –
Used on a Raspberry Pi 5
I finally have a Raspberry Pi that doesn’t throttle itself because of power. Micro USB never really worked. This does however. The power cable isn’t too long, but long enough. The plug is also doesn’t like to play with other item plugged into the power strip.
