Perfect for my needs!
Update – 11/4/24: As shown in my video, the magnet attaches to the metal plate just fine. Unfortunately, the adhesive that is on the metal plate isn’t as strong as the magnet. After having the mount attached under my desk cabinet for a few days I walked in the office yesterday and found that the adhesive failed and the mount was lying on my desk. I am deducting one star as I expect the adhesive to be stronger. Just keep in mind that if you’re not using the phone mount, remove it from the metal plate in case the adhesive on that plate fails on you too.
It’s been a never-ending search for a tripod/phone holder/something! for me to be able to do Amazon reviews using my phone. But I think I’ve found a great product for a top-down view review format.
This is advertised as being a gym phone holder, but the only muscles I’ll be flexing will be my review muscles. That sounded better in my head.
What really elevates this phone holder is the inclusion of two metallic disks with adhesive backing to attach the magnetic base to any non-metallic surfaces. It should work great as a top-down phone mount on my office desk. I definitely recommend this one!

Cool magnetic phone holder
I wanted this for my filing cabinets in my cart room. Filing cabinets are the metal kind. Easy instructions on how to put it together. And once it was put together it work straight away. I just put my phone in it, and it magnetized to the cabinets. But I think it’s really cool that they include two magnetic circles that you can stick where ever there isn’t metal to so that you can use the phone holder. And the circles have an adhesive backing. So you don’t need anything to just stick them wherever. The magnetic stickers work to hold the phone holder as if they were attached to something metal (they are, they are magnetically attached to the metal plate sticker, but you know what I mean?) Holds my phone well, the magnet is strong. Very cool for mom’s that like sticking their phones up, so they don’t lose them throughout the house⦠I am that mom, just saying.

Does not stay locked well
I used this to attach my phone to a squat rack. The magnet holds well. The phone is held in place well, and it is easy to take it in and out of the holder. Overall it is effective, but the arm still moves even when completely screwed down and tight. I needed to reposition my phone and tighten it multiple times during the workout.

good little holder
Using this to hold a phone to the frame of a metal building when inside. The arm is great and has 1/4-20 threads and can be used with these or other accessories.
The magnet base is strong and has a nice soft rubber over the magnet ring to protect it from scratches. once on there the arm stays put.
The phone holder is also fine. It had no issues holding my S23 ultra. I only used that to test once though. Since it has a 1/4-20 thread I added another end to add a magsafe charger to the magnetic arm.
The arm itself I ah having no issues with it loosening but as it son a wall I am not using it in a very high impact area like a weight cage or dashboard.

This is great! I recommend everybody get one! I use this everyday when Iâm cooking. I put it on the fridge and have it playing in the background with one of my shows.
