This replaced a standard-size desktop I had which I did;t want to update, this mini PC runs faster with very little lag, and it doesn’t take up a lot of space, great value for the price and I took out a reasonable 2-year warranty!

Compact and cheap
This is a nice little machine. I needed something mounted on the back of a TV to collect home security camera feeds and display them on the TV. I’m using Reolink cameras. This machine has Win 10 Pro which makes it perfect. The Pro part means Windows has remote desktop networking built in so no keyboard or mouse is needed after setup. There was a WiFi dongle in the box which worked without having to install any drivers. It allowed me to unplug the ethernet cable I used to set the machine up and connect to it remotely. I saw a mention in a review that this has no bloatware. This is false. The computer came with tons of Microsoft garbage and trial subscriptions. I found a decrapifier script on the internet and cleaned all the unwanted junk off with the bonus of freeing up 200 gigabytes of precious disk space. You can hardly go wrong for the price although I’m not sure how long the built in fan is going to last since it is used and has mechanical parts that wear. For me the biggest advantage is an all in one ready to go turn key machine compared to a Raspberry Pi which would need much more stuff to be added and configured and would still not be as powerful.

Great alternative for a Pi 4
Pi 4’s are rare and expensive at the moment (April 2023) but you can get better performance, upgrade ability, and compatibility. It even works with Linux! But, it’s larger and takes more power than a Pi 4. Also the Bios is robust. You may need to disable some of the Bios security to run some distros like Manjaro. I plan to use this as a Minecraft server running Ubuntu.- Desktop CPU so it’s upgrade able with T series Intel CPU’s.- Samsung M.2 so it’s quite reliable but it’s a little old. I plan to change it out for a WD Red SN700 m.2.- Comes with a crappy keyboard and mouse to use for setup.

I spent the last few work years developing automation using raspberry pi, so it made sense to have it as my daily drive and desktop. Now retired, I wanted to see how the rest of the Linux world was doing. I looked through my motley collection of old computers and decided I needed something more modern, nothing crazy, I’m not a gamer or video producer. I just needed a commodity desktop. On that front, not much has changed for years. I looked at what I could get new locally or online and wasn’t impressed. But I did see huge numbers of these on sale at attractive prices. Off lease doesn’t scare me I have the tools and knowledge to build PCs if needed. So, I found what seemed the best deal, Amazon renewed so I could send it back if hopeless. For $100, these old business models are pretty much on par with the new budget models I was looking at.So, what did I get? Slightly more than I ordered, this one had a 1tB ssd and it does have WIFI and Bluetooth internal. The ssd had been running for 5 years and was down to 9% life according to Crystal Diskinfo. But, it had Windows 10 Pro on it and works fine. The external antennas were missing but both WIFI and Bluetooth work OK. I didn’t really have to do anything. But I added a nvme M2 ssd and put LinuxMint on it. I left the Windows on the original drive and if it fails eventually, no big deal, I don’t use it anyways. But, it’s a great deal for what I needed and more than fast enough as a Linux desktop. I am pleased, and as someone who has been in the game since before PCs, that’s saying a lot. I would recommend if for someone who just needs an average desktop.

Update 3-1-23: Another computer just died. Hard drive failed. Amazon will direct you to the manufacturer for the â1 year warrantyâ but the manufacturer will tell you it expired in 2019. Amazon will not do anything to help you, the consumer. Avoid purchasing from this seller because he NEVER responds and sells junk. Again, Amazon wonât do anything about. Now I have two computers on my desk.I purchased 4 of these computers for our office. One of them did not work upon arriving. I immediately had amazon replace it. Out of the four, one has stopped working (only used 5 months). It keeps rebooting, asking for drivers to be reinstalled because they have “failed.” My IT people told me they could not do much and to request a replacement since refurbished computers come with a one-year warranty.I am giving this a 2-star review simply because I contacted the seller last week and I still have not heard back (1-star for the inconvenience, 1-star for not hearing back, 1-star for causing me the extra expense of being down a computer). I will update the star rating once I hear back from the seller. I am hoping for their customer service to be great.UPDATE 1-17-23 I still have not heard back from the seller. The second computer (2/4) has stopped working. It was not even been a year since I purchased all four. The hard drive fell out of the blue. It was working find the day before yesterday.UPDATE 2-22-23 Amazon had informed me about a week ago they could not do anything for me and that I needed to contact HP customer service for support and replacement. When I called HP they stated my WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED BACK IN MAY 2019. Their 1 year warranty is not valid. I would avoid purchasing from this seller as he’s never responded to my messages.

Equipo de hace 6-7 años pero en excelente estado y aun da batalla, por el precio de 3k vale totalmente la pena.En mi caso venia con SSD M2 de 256gb de una marca que no conocÃa pero funciona muy bien y es mucho mas rápido que los SSD Sata. Viene con 16gb de Ram Sk Hynix que es excelente marca en mi experiencia. También venia con un Wifi USB teclado y ratón.Le instale windows 11 desde usb sin problemas, solo tuve que bajar controladores desde la pagina de intel pero los encuentra de manera automática.Como actualización le puse un SSD Crucial y un I7-6700T (tiene que ser el T para que funcione a 35w igual que el i5) y funciona de maravilla.

I bought it from Advanced Skytech CA. They did a good job cleaning it. I received a keyboard, mouse and a USB-wifi adapter (decent according to Amazon reviews). The keyboard is also decent, though a cheap model.The computer I received had integrated Wifi and 2 DisplayPorts (both non-listed, so I guess I got lucky).The computer is very capable. With its i5 CPU and 16 gigs of memory it can do all typical tasks: video watching, editing, brwosing, spreedsheets, etc (and except for gaming). It can run a display at 4k without any problems (tested with Youtube at 4k resolution using WiFi). I was able to install Ubuntu 22.04 without any problems using software RAID 1 (nvme and SATA, though the SATA becomes the bottleneck). It seems to be as powerful as a top laptop from 5 years ago (check the CPU benchmarks for its i5-6500T.The fan is almost silent. You can hear it if you are right next to it in an otherwise silent room. Of course, under heavy loads it becomes noisy.With 16 Gbytes, ability to have 2 storage devices inside, Wifi, 2 display ports, lots USB-3.0 ports, it is great value. The only negatives: its CPU is not windows 11 approved (though it is capable) and it only has display port and VGA outputs (thus you need an adapter for HDMI).Highly recommended as a light-work desktop or a small server.

Todo funciona correctamente, muy buen estado fÃsico, la descripción es correcta, su desempeño es muy bueno, no tuve problemas de controladores, le reinstalé el S.O. pues venÃa en inglés, por el precio vale cada peso que pagué, recomendable al 100%.No trajo tarjeta wifi y a cambio te mandan un adaptador USB para conectarte inalámbricamente que ni controladores me pidió, excelente.El teclado me funciona perfectamente, el mouse igual, solo personas extraviadas pensarán que son de mala calidad.Pienso comprar otra incluso :-).

Good for online use, video streaming, runs dual display, plays 4K, and was clean upon arrival. Not a good choice for gaming, at thus price point you won’t find anything that’s good for gaming though.
