Warranty service not good
I’ve used HP desktops and printers for years and have been very happy. This PC failed after five months. I went through the on-board diagnostics, and Windows still wouldn’t load. I called HP Support, and spent about 90 minutes following a tech’s instructions, trying several options. Windows still wouldn’t load, and the tech told me the only remaining option was to reformat. We all know what this means — reloading not just Windows, but everything else that was on the machine.Reformatting failed. I contacted HP to tell them the reformat had failed, and asked about returning the unit. I was told that I had to keep trying to fix it, that there were other options when reformat fails (what could those options be — reformat is drastic). If this was a home computer, or one of several work units, I would be fine with spending more time to try to fix it,, but this is a work computer, and the only one. It had to be replaced, and quickly, to meet a deadline. I’m not willing to disconnect a working computer and spending hours trying to fix this one.Seriously? If reformat doesn’t work, is the PC even fixable? So my advice before buying this PC (or any PC) is to research the warranty.

Computer Support Helpline – was not helpful!
I attempted to setup my computer but it would not start past the Windows lock screen. After a long time attempting to troubleshoot with an online agent, the computer would still not function. The agent was pleasant, but could not resolve the situation. She merely wanted to go from her computer-based problem solving checklist to one a phone call. I declined to invest more useless time in resolving this situation and ended the computer chat session.Be careful purchasing this computer!

Not very fast
I recently had to replace my Dell that I had for 6 years due to a storm. I wish I would have gotten another Dell. It is a nice computer if you are doing basic things (Facebook, paying bills, etc.) Would not recommend if you are playing any type of game. It is much slower than my previous computer.

Not Bad
I love how small this little HP is. Takes up a lot less room. However, there was a bit of a compromise to achieve this profile and that is…the DVD ROM drive is the type you would find in a laptop, which is OK, , I guess. The computer itself is fairly fast and so far, it’s been a great little machine. Time will tell.
