So Far, So Good
Admittedly, just received today but I’ve been setting everything up and it’s going great. It does have the ethernet port i wanted. The other thing people have dinged this laptop for in reviews is the screen. I can’t really speak to that because I like screens to be kind of dark and easy on the eyes, so it’s perfect for in this regard. I turned down the brightness once received. The unit I bought was a warehouse deal and honestly I was expecting the worst because the quality varies a ton when buying warehouse deals. I’ve bought things said to be in Like New condition that were total trash, and things in Acceptable condition that were beautiful. So i rolled the dice on this one due to the low price, and got lucky. Even the packing was nicely done (double-boxed). Back to the laptop itself though, I don’t know who makes the SSD but it’s fast and responsive. This machine is quiet too. Does it even have a fan? Wouldn’t know it, yet. Thing is silent. Lots of RAM, lots of ports, and all the other specs look great. Could not be any happier, so far. If that changes, I’ll write a follow-up. No news is good news.

Such a great laptop! Price point is perfect, I use this mostly to download and stream. Additionally I use programs like handbrake and MakeMKV. I havenât had any issues since procuring this gem! Itâs light to take with you anywhere, and streaming and downloads are super fast. If you are in the market for a laptop to use for surfing the internet⦠streaming movies⦠or writing papers (snore)⦠then I recommend this amazing laptop!!!

Disappointed
For $500 I expected more. With the brightness turned all way up the screen is still very dull/ poor graphics for everyday work. The battery life says 11 hours in description, it doesn’t withstand half of that. It lasts about 4 hours max, and I haven’t even installed many things on it. By this laptop having a lot of space on it, with time I feel as if I install things, the battery life will lessen. With me working from home within a few hours, I’ll be charging this laptop up to continue with my work day. I really could’ve looked past the quality and feel on the keyboard being low quality made, but the screen quality and battery life is what steered me to write this review. I love how dimension of the laptop. I love the overall color of it. BUT the battery life and graphics need to be fixed. Don’t advertise 11 hours if it goes up to 4 hours MAX.UPDATE: 2/14/23 I have had this laptop for a month and a half now. I use it almost everyday, I have never did anything to destroy it. The screen is completely dim to point of me canât even seeing what is says without holding a flashlight to it. I canât use it. It has to be fixed! Mind you, this happened just one day out of nowhere. The brightness is turned all the way up and the screen is dimmm. I contacted the customer service number thatâs attached. A representative was rude and basically led me on to thinking they would fix it. She later said that since my purchase is beyond the ârefundâ timeframe, even though I didnât want to return it, they can not do anything to help me. I was told to contact HP. For $500 this is crazy. This laptop malfunctioned within 6 weeks, not at my fault and there is nothing the seller can do to fix it.

Great value
This laptop replaces a 12-year-old laptop. The 1 TB SSD allows fast startup and quick loading of programs. Screen quality is adequate, but I do not plan on using this laptop outdoors. Keyboard has a nice feel. Separate numeric keyboard helps. Trackpad works well, but I am used to working with a mouse.I did have to hardwire the computer to my router to set it up as it did not recognize my wireless network. After setting that up I was easilyable to connect wirelessly. Sound is surprisingly good for a laptop, but I will probably use hesdphones to listen to music.

this laptop is lovely and i am very happy with everything except the case… it is VERY lightweight! it is easy to carry, but i would gladly carry a bit more weight to get a bit more sturdiness.but if you use it mostly at home, it is powerful, quiet, never overheats (even in Second Life, where rendering overheated ALL previous laptops lol), and has an excellent display and speakers.overall, beautiful!
