Raspberry Pi Replacement, much better
I bought this as a test replacement for a failing RPi 3+ that I was using for Home Assistant and a few other self-hosted apps. Since it’s been hard to find a Pi here lately, and this refurbished small form factor PC had much better specs than even the best available Pi 5, I took this route. This is also more affordable than decking out a Pi with everything you’d need to actually get it up and running. I’d be hard pressed to determine if this uses less power than a Pi, but I can also run a lot more apps on this than a Pi.The form factor was a bit larger than I expected, but I got over that real quick. It’s currently hidden back where I don’t see it anyway.

Set this PC up and it took right off. NOT a scratch on the PC and real clean inside. Would definitely recommend this deal. This machine is much faster than my old one.

Came early, worked fine
Arrived a couple days early. PC was shrinkwrapped and looked clean and almost new. The keyboard and mouse came in boxes and as per other reviews the brands on them were not familiar but they work ok. They are lighted gamer type flickering colors. I’m a 70 yr old grandma so, guess it’s kinda cool. But I will probably replace the mouse with a wireless one. Set up was pretty simple, except it does NOT come with a wifi dongle so order one. I also had a vga cable from an old computer. If you don’t you’ll have to order one of the acceptable ones from list on amazon page . The setup info sheet was a little confusing. Step one..make sure you have internet. Then it goes on to Step 1..or (in little print under step 1) it says if you have internet go to step 5 page 2. But you can’t go to step 5 without the other steps on page 2. I Googled how to set up a refurbished computer and watched the video and figured it out. But..why go to step 5 if you need steps 1-? on page 2?? It did the Windows 10 reinstall from drive. Make sure it goes to the box for Language/name etc or it’s open to some hacking according to the Google video, but mine worked fine. If it goes straight to Windows desktop, it isn’t ok. Again, the pc I got here was ok. Have not set up my wifi printer yet so ?? The worst part was trying to set it up in the middle of a blizzard/bad weather with a line of sight computer modem system. Argh. Not the fault of this company though.

No wifi? What’s with that… Don’t waste your money!
I didn’t buy this machine to run windows 10, however, the instructions that came with it said, “In order to install Windows 10 you need a network connection.” Okay… I have 7 other computers with a wifi network connection, no problem… Nowhere in any of the product descriptions did it say, “No wifi network interface installed”. There is no Network card/interface with the box. I had to buy a wifi dongle to get it connected, but by then I’d already blown away Windows 10 for the planned OS, Ubuntu Linux (which is what told me there was no network card. All Windows said was, “no network connection”, without any troubleshooting tool or button. Great. No network connection. WHY???).Ubuntu is a simple install, BUT on this hardware, it won’t install from a CDROM/DVD for some reason, and when it installs from a USB thumb it doesn’t install properly (Linux generally has all the necessary drivers in either the install package or the updates). I’ve installed from the USB AND the CDROM/DVD numerous times on Lenovo, Dell, and generic hardware, but it will not install properly on this HP (I should have known – since the merger with Compaq more than two decades ago, HP hardware has not been the best. I still have a pre-merger laptop I got from a surplus house that works great – just slow… pre-Pentium, x86 architecture – relegated to TTY.).I have not talked with Tech Support yet, but I already know they probably won’t talk to me because I’m no longer dealing with Windows 10 and if typical, they won’t have a clue about Linux (I only have one dual boot machine). I’m still debating on whether to try Tech Support or not.I’m still irritated that there was “no wifi in the box” call-out and there was no mention of it in any of the product descriptions. Had I seen “no wifi”, I’d have passed…I’ll continue to play with it for a while, but the gut tells me this machine will be relegated to the junk pile with the 30 year old hardware I still hoard… (most of which still work to some extent)… pj

was at 1809, or 4 year old, version of windows 10. for the price this is a good deal but I would not buy if you need lots of space. SSD is only 220gb w/190 free. I like that it is 6th gen CPU and it does have 16gb memory.

Excelente, muy buena, adquirimos 3 para la oficina y están muy rápidas, ya tienen Windows 10 Pro original, están en el idioma inglés pero tienen soporte para cambiarlo al español, el disco SSD es de 1 tera, en las especificaciones dice que es de 500 gb o sea que aún es mejor, tiene teclado, mause, 2 usb para wifi, coble para la fuente de poder, en fin demasiado buena para el precio, de antemano ya pedimos más. Excelente producto, ampliamente recomendable, entrega casi inmediata…
