Great price, great performance, great product. It doesn’t break the budget and pairs great with 30 series Nvidias and the 4060. The integrated graphics makes this processor great for a starter until you can get a dGPU

Best Bang for the Buck CPU
Did a bunch of research and this CPU was the best bang for the buck for several Office PC builds. I suggest putting your $ into technologies such as DDR5 and M.2 as I/O is usually the bottleneck in computing.

Still using 12th gen
Still using 12400 series in 2024, can’t go wrong. Two versions of ram, DDR4 and DDR5. This one also had the stock cooler from Intel. Nothing special with the cooler if your doing light to medium work.

Solid bang for buck and with a decent cooler.
Upgraded a 2600K pc with this CPU, B660 board and 32GB of 3600mhz ram. It feels incredibly snappy now. With GPUs now costing your firstborn child, it’s nice that this upgrade boosted an aging gtx970 FPS by 5-15%. (@2560×1080) Gaming is also much smoother as low-FPS spikes are effectively non-existent now.
The included heatsink and fan is actually not as terrible as I was anticipating. It doesn’t get all that loud and it looks halfway decent. It seems to keep the temps down to the mid 80s under stress testing (70 ambient) and mid 60s during actual gaming. I will replace it eventually but I’m not that concerned as it works fine. I did wipe off the pre-pasted thermal grease and added some MX-4 instead.
The internal HD 730 is nice to have as a backup. Anyone who doesn’t need that should seek out the “12400F” model as it’s the exact same chip with no internal GPU, and it should be $15-$25 cheaper.
As of this posting, it’s hard to beat the value of this CPU (12400F/12400) for gaming.

Es uno de los mejores procesadores buen rendimiento general, tanto trabajo como gaming a un precio excelente, me atrevo a recomendarlo para mover hasta una 4060 TI, de ahà en adelante hay que escoger otro CPU. No se calienta mucho, sirve a tope con el FAN de stock.

Donât expect to use the cooler that comes with it.
The default cooler canât maintain a reasonable temp, and I found it nearly impossible to install. Expect to use a real cooler.

Es un CPU muy completo, me va bien con mi RTX 3080 de 10GB, perfecto para los juegos de alto rendimiento y emuladores, me encanta tras poco más de 6 meses de uso, no he tenido problemas con ningun juego o actividad, es perfecta combinación tambien con un SSD de PCIe 4 Gen, vuela la máquina. Tiene buena relación-calidad precio, además esta listo para actualización para uso de memorias DDR5 mientras esperas a que bajen de precio si puedes usar DDR4 con una motherboard compatible y más barata.
