This pair is a huge upgrade from the previous model. They’re perfect for working out, never fall out of my ears and sound amazing (see attached custom eq settings to get the perfect tune). You have to keep noise canceling turned all the way up and always on otherwise the bass doesn’t work right. I turn off adaptive and compensation on the ANC so the sound is always consistent. The control buttons are pretty sensitive so I turn off the left side controls otherwise it’s too easy to accidentally push the annoying toggle ANC button.I really love these little guys, makes going for a run and working out so much more enjoyable. The shape is a huge improvement that somehow stays really secure in the ear and is basically a little speaker box that produces great low sub bass, hence the low frequency boost on the custom eq. Strong recommendation.

Incredible Sound
These buds sound great. I like the case, it’s useful and convenient, I didn’t even have to install an app to my phone/Fiio DAP to make use of the settings on the case. The Passthru feature works good, but i’m not convinced the Noise Cancelling is very effective.It works to slightly dampen sound, but with ANC turned On, I can still hear the keystrokes on my keyboard, and my mouse clicking.

There was no plastic tab on the buds the case was onUpdate next day I got my replacement inFully sealed I’m so happy these are great buds if your like me and are going from older bose soundsport and sony wfc 500 the sound is awesome I like the look I like the fit I would recommend me these to family and friends.

So depending on how much you pay for these, your findings may show good value or excellent value. I got these on sale and am very happy with them. Anything to do with how one interprets sound is bound to be highly subjective, so I will leave the hi-fi techno jargon to the sound experts. For me, if I like the sound that is what matters, not what some reading might have said or did not say.Pros:-super comfy in my ears, I have used all the Samsung and most of the Bose lines and this one is the most comfortable, I only find myself readjusting them because I am checking if they are still there, I forget that they are in!-High quality feel in build quality and weight, they just feel good, not cheap. This can be very important for something that you touch as much as earbuds. This feeling contributes to the overall experience.-Battery life is as expected, the case goes down a little bit faster than expected, I think that may be because of the screen.-Sound is excellent. Again, I am not a sound expert, I know what I like and I like this sound. I had the Bose high end buds and they would randomly disconnect. I would say this sound is a little richer, more substance to the sound. Very impressed.Cons:-My biggest gripe with these is the LED screen on the case, and its not really bad, just doesnt seem necessary to me. I have not come across a situation where I was unable to switch music on my phone and instead would reach for this case. I have accidentally unlocked this screen and had to re-lock it however.It seems to me the screen money was unnecessary.Overall I am very happy with these and super impressed by the sound, I use them at the gym and they are fantastic. The noise cancelling is really good, again I am not an expert and I am sure you will get some “experts” telling you it lacks this mid range or this acoustic so and so, for me they are what I was looking for at an agreeable price.

These are great quality buds, they sound impressive once dialed in with the JBL app. The case is pretty handy to control things as well. The only thing that I would like to see change is the wake up option to be button on back only. The current mode of wake up to access case functions is tapping the screen 1-3 times depending on user setting and then sliding the button on the touch screen to unlock screen. To lock just push the button at back of case. It would be ideal if you could unlock and lock the screen with button only. I use these while doing yard work and unlocking the screen with the slide icon with gloves can be frustrating. Maybe the app will have an update to have that option.Recommended product especially when it’s on sale. Purchased a set for my wife who jogs a lot. I can see she will appreciate the function of the case and not have to fumble around with her cell phone to control the buds/songs/etc.

Well turns out I’ve been wasting my whole life with Bose, Apple, Sony, Beats etc. Dear lord. Buy these ear buds. Just do it. The Smart Case is cool but the sound is .. mesmerizing. Soundstage absolutely blows apart any earbud I’ve ever listened to. Haven’t worked out in them yet but they’re super comfortable (I have sensitive ears, can’t tolerate fins etc) even if they don’t stay in well I’ll be keeping them for everything else/my daily drivers. Highly recommend experimenting with the equalizer to find your preferred sound, the presets are excellent.
