Surprising Value and Power Package!
I left my last laptop with my former employer, and I was looking for a laptop that could match the professional specs of that HP without the professional price. The Maypug had the specs, and I decided to take a chance on it even though the price was far lower than similarly equipped models. I have been blown away by the speed, response, and capacity of this very lightweight but sturdy laptop! Set up was incredibly easy and all of my personal files were easily accessed in the cloud after I transferred my MS360 subscription. Graphics are sharp, video calls are crisp and the audio is every bit as good as my work HP. I added a Cakite 9 in 1 doc and I have a complete system that I would recommend to anyone.

Great laptop for the price
I waited 6 months to write a review to have enough time to find the quirks. I’ve not found any! The laptop works as expected. It’s lightweight, but is fast and a pleasure to use. Excellent laptop, especially at this price!

Good everyday laptop, works well for my nephew.
Although there is a cover on the bottom, I am unsure if removing that will give you access to ram or SSD so I cannot confirm if it can be upgraded or not. For the basic every day use, the specifications on this laptop works decently. It is just a celeron processor so do not something that is BLAZING fast but this does a decent job. My nephew does run minecraft on this from time to time but it doe make the laptop heat up and there FPS is a bit low but I did not expect it to be high FPS. This has a 15.6 inch screen which is pretty standard for most laptops. It is is bit thicker than ultrabooks and it is not something that is extremely sturdy where you could drop it. The framing is just a plastic piece but it is thick plastic. The plastic material is pretty easy to get scratched up and the color makes it noticeable so get a case if possible. The device is not heavy but it is not extremely light weight. The celeron processor is a quad core celeron processor. This does come with a solid 12 gb which is higher than most high end laptops running at 8 gb. I am not sure which DDR this is though. It is powerful enough where it is able handle most multitasking on this device. For my nephew it works great for an every day laptop. The battery life on this is not terrible. I did run a stress on the battery to see how long it lasts with multiple applications and videos running and it lasted about four to five hours. The cooling system is not terrible on this even with the high resource usage. It still does get warm so do not place this under a blanket or in a closed off area. The charger is okay but if it happens to break, it will be hard to find a replacement in the future. The power brick is one of those big end pieces so it may take up more than one plug. The wire is okay but a bit on the thinner side compared to other devices. The power brick does get a bit warm during charging and the tip is on the thinner side so careful not to put any weight on it that may cause it to bend. After I finished setting it up, the average boot up is within 15 seconds. I do like that it has a 512 GB SSD which is pretty surprising considering the laptop price. It can hold a good amount of data and it is an SSD so it is fast with no spinning disk. I cannot tell if it is an M2 or 2.5 SSD without opening it but the drive is pretty fast. It has the standard setup for windows 11 and is pretty straight forward. The laptop has max resolution at 1920 x 1080 which is not too bad with the screen brightness being okay. The screen is easy on the eyes for my nephew and does not strain his eyes. I do like that it gives you USB 3.0 port so you are not stuck with needing to buy an adapter to get more ports. There is also a type c (non thunderbolt) port The hinge is not bad on this but do not push the laptop too far back or you could break the housing. The wrist rest looks nice with the dark silver like color. My nephews hand marks started wearing it down a little bit but that is to be expected. The typing keys are not too bad but they do feel a bit cheap. It would say be careful not to pop the keys up. The trackpad runs okay and it is not overly sensitive and you do not have to press down too hard. It also does not look like it will wear down easily which is good. There is a camera for basic webcamming. I would not really use it for streaming as it does pick up some surrounding noise. It does have 3.5 port to plug in headphones and microphone device. For my nephew, the speakers work fine. They are loud enough for him and do not have any kind of crackle or feedback. There is also an HDMI port so you are able to plug this into an external hdmi port. Overall this laptop is better in terms of storage and ram. It still runs on okay specifications and the only bottle neck I found was the processor really. This can work for an every day laptop or even a college laptop starting out. The specification is not bad at 12 GB ram and 512 gb SSD drive. They definitely give you enough space to store more. The only issues I found was the casing and the power plug which is more of a preference for me that I wanted something a bit more durable.

Price was in my range
I needed a new laptop so I began comparing affordable windows computer laptops. I’m not very tech knowledgeable but when I came across this Maypug the features lured me in. I had never heard of the brand before so I was sort of skeptical but the price was in my range! Fast forward to now and I can admit I am totally happy with my purchase.The speed is wonderful, the screen is extremely bright and clear, the processing is very fast. The battery lasts about 3-4 hours so if I’ll be away I be sure to keep the charger on hand in case I need to charge it. All in all i feel it Works great for my purposes.
