    My 2nd personal laptop used
I had X1 carbon 1st gen, used as well, but now has 10 years, I’ll gift to other person. This is 6th gen, a good option with backlit keyboard and screen HDR. I see it has IR webcam but doesn’t work with Windows Hello, I’m not worry because I dont use it.I formated with Win11, but the battery says only 4 or 5 hours. To me is an excellent choice.

I Got More Than Described… And Less
This was purchased to replace a previous 6th Gen X1 Carbon whose motherboard died. I intended to take the SSD out of that one and pop it into an identical replacement to get me back and running quickly. Everything went smoothly except Microsoft 365 refused to accept my credentials even after removing with Revo and reinstalling. I ended up reinstalling Windows on a clean SSD and starting over. Frustrating, but not this seller’s fault.I found out that I was shipped a TOUCHSCREEN model, and the description (and my previous model) were NON-touchscreen. Unfortunately, that also means there is no sliding camera cover – this seems to be a replacement screen (it’s a refurb, so that’s acceptable). Also, this model does not say “X1” or “Carbon” anywhere on the device, but the Lenovo Service Bridge does identify the computer, the serial number and it is a 6th Gen as stated in the description, so the motherboard is authentic. The touchpad is not original, and it loses the top layer emulsion with the SLIGHTEST scratch, but it is refurbished so that is not a complaint. Once the scratches become completely annoying, I’ll use my touchpad from the old computer, which is original equipment. Finally, to my complete surprise, Windows 11 decided to offer to install itself (and this model should NOT be W11 compatible, at least as far as my previous device was concerned), so I now have a Windows 11 Pro touchscreen X1 Carbon.More than I paid for, less than perfect. Less than stellar quality control I suppose, but it worked out in my favor on balance.

    My Main Teaching Computer
This is the computer I bought used to leave attached to my classroom Smartboard. It runs all school day, five days a week. It’s handled by me and students. It’s reliable and good-looking (if you like matte black, which I do, and that thin X1 Carbon profile). In addition to normal educational platform duties, I run it as a Minecraft Education server in my classroom from time to time, and it handles that task just fine.

    Perfect for linux
I wanted a good quality cheap laptop to do flutter development. Installed unbuntu over the windows os and with 16 gb of ram it’s more than enough for what I need. The laptop is clean and looks new.

    HDMI post failed
Purchased the laptop 4 months ago and the HDMI port failed exactly month after the return window closed. Tried updating the drivers – all up to date, tried to call Service number – the number is not in service. Without HDMI and C cable are not working.Tried using same HDMI and monitor with another laptop and it works fine.
